As evidence by the two set photos from last week, production has started on "Fast and Furious 7," and we're just about as excited as Vin Diesel. And Vin Diesel is very, very excited.
Universal Studios posted this video of Diesel from the Atlanta set on the very first day of filming "Fast and Furious 7," which, from what new series director James Wan has stated, will take on the tone of a gritty '70s revenge thriller.

And that's all right by us for a number of reasons. First of all, there is pretty much no other director as hot as Wan right now. He found his groove directing throwback horror, most recently "The Conjuring" and "Insidious: Chapter 2."
Then there's the cast. Everyone from "Fast and Furious 6" is returning along with the additions of Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Lucas Black from "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" and possibly Kurt Russell.
"Fast and Furious 7" opens in theaters on July 11, 2014.
