How long will it be before we get a piece of "Star Wars: Episode VII" casting news that really sticks and is the definitive confirmation of a returning actor? Mark Hamill has all but said, "I will be back as Luke Skywalker in 'Episode VII,' " and Harrison Ford's for sure/not for sure return has been at the center of several reports.
Now Carrie Fisher has joined the quasi-confirm game, giving the scoop of her return to the "Star Wars" Universe to Palm Beach Illustrated, the renowned entertainment news outlet. Fisher gave the magazine the most succinct of answers, simply saying "yes" to the question of whether she could confirm her return.

Fisher joked that she imagined the modern-day Princess Leia as "elderly," saying "She's in an intergalactic old folks' home. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle."
Can we just accept at this point that at the very least Hamill, Fisher, and Ford will be back as the big three of the original series? A big part of the draw for the new trilogy will depend on the nostalgia factor, and thanks to "The Avengers," Disney isn't exactly short on cash. Just give us a definitive answer on the deals, so we can go back to worrying if the new trilogy is going to suck or not.
