New Joss Whedon Film Lines Up "Mad Men's" Abigail Spencer
Joss Whedon is a very busy man. In between doing post-production on "The Avengers" and editing his low-budget "Much Ado About Nothing" film, the "Firefly" creator has also found time to write a new supernatural romance called "In Your Eyes." "Mad Men" star Abigail Spencer spilled the beans to Vulture that she's going to be starring in the movie, and is starting work on it next month. "I'm so excited to do it," she said. "It's the most romantic film in the history of time." The movie is being directed by Brin Hill.
Big Actors Line Up For "Madagascar 3"
A new trio of actors is joining Dreamworks' "Madagascar" franchise. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Bryan Cranston, Jessica Chastain and Martin Short are going to be voicing three new characters in the upcoming movie, "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted." They'll be playing Vitaly the Siberian tiger, Gia the jaguar and Stefano the sea lion, respectively. The film also stars Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett Smith, Chris Rock and David Schwimmer. It's due in theaters on June 8.
Chris Evans In Talks For "Snow Piercer"
Chris Evans is in talks to star in the domestic debut from "The Host's" Bong Joon-Ho. Called "Snow Piercer," the indie was written by Joon-ho and "Oldboy" director Park Chan-wook. Variety has the news, and reports that "Snow Piercer" tells the story of a train of travelers struggling to co-exist in a world covered in snow and ice. Production is apparently expected to start in March.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan Hits "The Rut"
Variety is reporting that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is joining Karyn Kusama's upcoming indie "The Rut." He'll be joined by his "Texas Killing Fields" co-star Chloe Moretz in the movie, which is being described as a cross between "Winter's Bone" and "Into the Wild." According to Variety, the story "follows a teenage girl who aims to win her father’s approval by surrounding herself with danger and adventure as she journeys into the wilderness alone to hunt deer."
Marvel Fans Rejoice: Idris Elba Is Back For "Thor 2"
Hot off his Golden Globes win, Idris Elba is gearing up to get back in armor for "Thor 2." He told MTV News on the Globes red carpet that he'll "for sure" be in "Thor 2." "We're going at it again," he said. Elba said he has not met with director Alan Taylor yet to talk about the project. "Thor 2" is scheduled for theaters on November 15, 2013.
