The brand new poster for the fourth official "American Pie" movie, "American Reunion," definitely looks familiar, but there's something different going on.

First of all, there's certainly not enough pie to go around to feed all the returning, randy cast members. All of the series' original stars, including Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Mena Suvari, Seann William Scott and Chris Klein, are all here, but I don't think that's it.

Maybe, it's because the new poster for "American Reunion" is an exact copy of the first film's iconic poster. Talk about a nostalgia attack. Everyone is in their old positions from the poster from way back in 1999, except this time Jason Biggs decided to put some clothes on. Be sure to check out the posters side-by-side. There's definitely a stark difference. It has been 13 years since the original "Pie," and, my, how time has passed!

It's Michael Bay's American right to sign on for "Transformers 4." Who could say no to all that money (even if the guy probably doesn't need any at this point)? But while the "Transformers" movies have consistently made bank, there's no doubt they've become somewhat creatively stagnant. Sure, you can cynically remark that they were never that great, but the second and third movies ladled on the gratuitous characters, abundant explosions and confusing narrative. So yeah — Bay can do more of the same if he wants, but here are five baby steps he might take in order to change things up.

» 1. Lose the Beef. With all due respect to Shia LaBeouf, the saga of Sam Witwicky has gone about as far as it can. Even Mr. LaBeouf agrees on this point. Three movies in a row, Sam has been acting alternately brave and cowardly (with quips thrown in for good measure), and while LaBeouf has filled his role admirably, it's time to let Sam go and introduce a new cast. Producers seemed to agree about the temporal role of "Transformers" characters when they bounced Megan Fox out of the third film; why not go a step further and get rid of everyone — not just Sam. Starting from scratch would be the easiest way to pour some humanity back into the series.

Lions and tigers and a panda bear. Lizards and elephants and werewolves and dogs and cats and rabbits and monkeys. Yes, from the supernatural woods of "Breaking Dawn" to the seafaring adventures of "Tintin," it was a good year for animals at the movies. And since we're lovers of both animals and movies, we naturally had to look back at the past 12 cinematic months and select our favorite non-human creatures from the kingdom Animalia.

Two weeks ago, "Bourne Legacy" star Jeremy Renner revealed a bit too much when he opened up to Empire about his upcoming role in the action reboot. He told the British movie magazine that his character's name is Aaron Cross and said "It's that same deal, it's just a new set of agents with a different leash."

We spoke with Frank Marshall, one of the producers for the next 'Bourne' movie, at the New York premiere of "War Horse." The producer spoke briefly about what's different this time around and how Renner may have already given too much away.

Angelina Jolie

The sky's the limit after you've won an Oscar. You can pair up with your good-looking counterparts for an ostentatious action film. You can lend your voice to a cartoon about kung-fu animals. You can even go for another Oscar, why not?

But the ultimate moment of FTW excess has to be starring in a Luc Besson film. Rejuvenating actors as action stars from Statham to Neeson, Besson's hyperkinetic blow outs have charmed American audiences, killed at the box office, and above all, done one important thing: made their stars look really, really awesome.

It makes sense, then, that Angelina Jolie is the latest actress to get on the Besson bandwagon.

By Joel Hanek

MTV News reporter Josh Horowitz and producer Joel Hanek are currently in Dubai covering the world premiere of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol." These are their stories.

Producers log, day two: The quest to interview Tom Cruise continues.

The premiere of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" is set to kick off this year's Dubai International Film Festival. Being the investigative journalists that we are, MTV News reporter Josh Horowitz and I suspected that the stars of said film would be in Dubai to promote their movie — and we were so right. But interviewing the "MI:4" stars wouldn't be until tomorrow, so we decided to get the most of this once in a lifetime cultural experience.

With the end of the year rapidly approaching, the MTV Movies team is here to ask the hard questions. Which movie had the best ensemble cast of 2011, for one? How about the greatest sex scene of the year? Or perhaps the most important question of all: who was the best movie robot of 2011?

It's a bizarre question, sure, but a fair one to ask: there were a ton of 'bots at the box office this year, some more menacing than others. From the courageous Optimus Prime to the useless '80s Robot, here are your picks for the year's best cinematic robot. Cast your vote after the jump!

Let's face it, any news about "Dark Shadows" is good news. Even if it just involves the stars gushing about the project.

Piggy-backing off last week's most excellent chat with Helena Bonham Carter, who admitted that while she loved her character, she thinks the film might be a tough sell, we recently had another "Dark Shadows" cast member encounter with star Michelle Pfeiffer, who had nothing but positive remarks for her time spent on set, director Tim Burton and her hope for "Shadows" sequels.

Star Wars

I feel a great disturbance in the Force… late last week Matthew Morrison of "Glee" told Jimmy Kimmel that next Tuesday’s episode will include “a throwback and a tribute to the Star Wars Holiday Special and the Judy Garland Christmas Special.”

And -- wait for it -- Chewbacca will be in it.

This may come as a bit of a shock, but it's only right for you to know that you've been "indoctrinated" by the Muppets. Yes, as much as Jim Henson's crew of cuddly misfits might have appeared to want nothing more than to teach children how to count on "Sesame Street" or to make them laugh with G-rated humor, it turns out that Kermit and crew were a bunch of dirty, Commie pinkos all along.

The other night on Fox Business News' "Follow the Money," host Eric Bolling took to the airwaves to set the record straight: "The Muppets" is just another entry in a long string of Hollywood propaganda produced solely for the purpose of turning impressionable children against our country's down-trodden oil barons.
