'Sitter' Star Jonah Hill Dishes On Babysitting, Crazed Fans

Everyone's babysat before. Some people are good at it; some people are spectacularly atrocious. That's where "The Sitter" comes in.

The comedy, starring Jonah Hill as the world's worst sitter, comes out today (December 9), and to celebrate, we spoke with the actor during MTV First: "The Sitter" about all things babysitting and life-related, such as the first R-rated film that ever changed his life or the strangest thing a girl's ever done to get his attention.

First off: his relationship with kids. In "The Sitter," he's not the best or most responsible babysitter, so we wanted to know if it carried over to real life. "I actually love kids," he said. "I'm great with them in real life."

Five Reasons To See 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy'

Spies have had it bad as of late. If they aren't the hollow centers of this week's generic action movie, they're one half of an on-screen couple in a shallow quadrant-hitting action comedy. James Bond may be the only redeeming representative left from the shadowy profession, and even he can err on the side of dumb on a bad day.

Just when it seems like the glory days of shadowy figures in trench coats, listening in on tapped phone conversations are long gone, "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" comes along. It's a slow, nuanced and complicated film that most people wouldn't classify as a thriller, but don't let that fool you. Gary Oldman and his legion of brilliant supporting British actors, along with the Swedish director Tomas Alfredson, have crafted a brilliant, suspense-filled tale worthy of your money and attention.

Here are five reasons to check out "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy."

Ben Kingsley Plays 'Ender's Game,' Sacha Baron Cohen Feels 'Les Miserables'

Ben Kingsley can't get enough of his "Hugo" costar Asa Butterfield, apparently. Their powerful dynamic in the Martin Scorsese 3-D period piece was easily one of the highlights of that movie, and viewers are about to be treated to another collaboration between the pair of actors.

THR reports that Kingsley is in talks to join "Ender's Game," Gavin Hood's adaptation of the science fiction classic from novelist Orson Scott Card. Butterfield was previously cast in the title role with "True Grit" actress Hailee Steinfeld flirting with the project as well. For his part, Kingsley would play a legendary war hero long presumed dead.

'Mission' Accomplished In Dubai: Tom Cruise Edition

MTV News reporter Josh Horowitz and producer Joel Hanek are currently in Dubai covering the world premiere of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol." These are their stories.

If you've been following the adventures of MTV News' very own reporter Josh Horowitz and I this week on Movies Blog, you know that we've traveled all the way to Dubai for the world premiere of "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol." And let's just say, right now we are standing on an aircraft carrier with a banner behind us that reads: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. OK, that reference is neither timely, accurate, nor funny, so let's move on. What I learned during the trip:

1) Scrambled eggs in the Middle East are orange. Crazy, right?
2) Simon Pegg is even more hilarious than I thought.
3) Tom Cruise is probably the nicest man on the planet.

'Saw' Sequels On The Way, 'Evil Dead' Plot Revealed

If you thought "Saw 3D" was going to be the last installment of the gory franchise, then you might want to sit down for this news. The rest of us can stand, because we saw this coming a mile away — every diehard horror fan knows that a movie claiming to be the "final" installment isn't really finished for good!

Lionsgate has just revealed that a new "Saw" flick is on the way. During an interview with CNBC, Vice Chairman Michael Burns got a little chatty about the company's big moneymaker. "I'm sure, some day, you'll see 'Saw' back in the picture," Burns said.

It makes sense, at least financially; Lionsgate has a potential franchise in "Hunger Games," but could certainly use backup from the reliable "Saw" series. From a fan standpoint, anyone who watched James Wan's "Insidious" could have guessed this was coming. Some of you may have spotted the chalk-drawn Billy the Puppet with an "8" underneath him on the blackboard in one scene.

Robert Downey Jr. Says Paul Thomas Anderson Collaboration Is 'Probably True'

Although Robert Downey Jr. has been all about the superhero action star spectacle films recently, we can't forget that his body of work pre-"Iron Man" involved a virtual smorgasbord of characters in a lot of quieter think pieces, TV dramedies and quirky indies.

Therefore when the news broke earlier this year that Downey Jr. and director Paul Thomas Anderson might be working together on a big screen adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's "Inherent Vice," it seemed like a perfect fit for moviemaking magic.

Anyway, when MTV News caught up with the man in question at the press day for "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" recently, we asked him if the report about "Inherent Vice" was fact or fiction.

"Anything to do with Paul Thomas Anderson and I doing a movie together is probably true," Downey Jr. said. "We tend to talk about a variety of potential projects, and Thomas Pynchon's 'Inherent Vice' could be great, we'll see."

How 'Sitter' Star Jonah Hill Would Babysit Justin Bieber

We've been talking with Jonah Hill for a little while about "The Sitter," but can you blame us? The new movie, which comes out Friday (December 9), looks like a pretty fun romp through the tried-and-true babysitter comedy genre. It's just a tad dirtier than the usual "Mr. Nanny" or "The Pacifier" fare, appropriate for Hill's decidedly NSFW comedy sensibilities.

During last month's MTV First with the "Sitter" star, we asked Hill why he took the role.

"The whole idea of this movie is, you know those crappy movies when they're like 'Oh, you don't want this guy watching your kids,' and they're the lamest movie ever?" he said. "This is the movie where, you really don't want this guy watching your kids because they might, like, die or some crazy stuff."

There's nothing like the threat of death to make sure a kid eats his vegetables, right? We then asked how he would handle babysitting celebrity children, who are probably a bit harder to handle than the usual spawn. Here's what he had to say...

'Star Trek 2' Seeks Edgar Ramirez For Khan?

Once upon a time, Benicio del Toro was set to appear as the villain in "Star Trek 2" -- a big casting coup, considering the first movie was low on established stars. Fan speculation ranged wild on whether del Toro would be playing the infamous Khan, or... well, that was about it, really.

Things changed when Paramount and del Toro couldn't come to an agreement. Now, Variety is reporting that Edgar Ramirez is the leading candidate to take over.
