Even if you're not as smitten with "The Twilight Saga" as the legions of screaming tweens around the country currently skipping school to see "Breaking Dawn – Part 1," the movie might be worth checking out just for the bananas birth scene at the film's end. Young Bella Swan, impregnated with Edward Cullen's vampire seed, goes into labor, and when a scalpel can't penetrate the placenta and unleash the bloodsucking fetus, her hubby starts noshing on her tummy. The whole scene is bloody and campy and ridiculous and, while not exactly worth the price of admission, is undoubtedly one of the most memorably nuts movie sequences of 2011.

In this way, the "Breaking Dawn" childbirth joins a long and occasionally venerable list of gruesome movie birth scenes. Read about some of them below.

Star Trek 2

When it rains, it pours. Or at least such is the case with "Star Trek 2" rumors.

After months of silence on the upcoming sequel, a whole slew of production details -- including a shooting start date -- hit the web earlier this week. Now comes a juicy new plot rumor from Think McFly Think that the Klingons will play a prominent role in the sequel as a nomadic set of warriors causing trouble for the Federation while fighting off Tribbles. (Yes, Tribbles!) Also, they say there won't be any Khan in this flick. Of course, none of this has been confirmed by J.J. Abrams' camp, so you can either take it or leave it.

Check out the rest of today's film news after the jump!

It's hard to out-cute Kermit the Frog, but young Toshi McWeeny managed to do it during a junket interview for "The Muppets." Toshi's dad is Drew McWeeny of HitFix, and he set up his son with the chance of a lifetime, interviewing the legendary Kermit and Miss Piggy.

Toshi definitely handled himself like a pro, not letting the stars get the better of him. Both Kermit and Piggy agreed that the interview was the best of the day and told Toshi he had done an excellent job. According to his dad, he had come up with all of the questions by himself and really took the assignment seriously. It shows!

Watch the video below for what will probably be the most adorable thing you see all day.

Tim Burton

"Dark Shadows" director Tim Burton will be adapting a haunted gothic novel about a dark family tragedy (shocking, we know), "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children."

The story comes from author Ransom Riggs' book of the same name that feels similar to Edward Gorey by way of a vintage photo nightmare depicting … peculiar children (a few of the misfits include a girl who had the ability to hold fire in her hands, another who always levitated off the ground, and there were twins who could talk without actually speaking … ). Teenage Jacob visits the home in question, located on a remote island off the coast of Wales. Once there he realizes that the abandoned abode holds a darker and more dangerous secret than previously imagined. Get more on the news over here. You can also read what Ransom told Hollywood Crush about wanting Tim Burton to direct the adaptation -- looks like he got his wish!

We'll find out more when Burton collects his cast and crew, but for now visit more Horror Bites past the break.

Rami Malek has it good. He'll tell you so, just like he told MTV News on the red carpet for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1."

Aside from getting to play a vampire in one of the most popular film franchises of all time, on a set that's filled with beautiful women, no less, Malek shared that he got to do a little more.

"I'm lucky," he said. "It's one of the perks of being on a movie like this. You wake up, show up on set and kiss beautiful girls all day long. You can't beat it."

Rachel McAdams

In the new Sherlock Holmes film, "A Game of Shadows," the world's most famous detective meets up with his arch-nemesis from the original Arthur Conan Doyle stories, Professor Moriarty. But what will become of the only person to have ever out-witted Holmes, the infamous Irene Adler?

Rachel McAdams portrayed the iconic character in the first film, but until recently, a potential appearance in the sequel was still up in the air. Eventually, it was announced that McAdams would reprise her role, but only in a small capacity.

But now a new Korean promotional character poster depicts McAdams by herself as Adler, with no other players to be found. Does this mean we may see a bigger presence from Irene Adler than we had thought?

There are some classic geek movies that we just can't get enough of. "Back to the Future." "Jurassic Park." The original "Star Wars." And, of course, the "Indiana Jones" films. So when Jamie Benning announced that he would be tackling Steven Spielberg's classic "Radiers of the Lost Ark" for his latest filmumentary -- a documentary set against the backdrop of the actual movie it's discussing -- we were absolutely thrilled.

Benning has uploaded the first 17 minutes of "Raiding The Lost Ark" to Vimeo (via Wired) to give fans a taste of what's in store. He has spliced a number of interviews previously conducted with Spielberg, George Lucas, Alfred Molina and many of the production staff in with the footage from the movie to give a sort of walking commentary of the flick. In addition, he has added some behind-the-scenes shots like Spielberg trying to find the right mountain for the film's opening shot and Tom Selleck auditioning for the part of Indiana Jones in to add some color.

A new trailer for the 3D re-release of the box office monster hit, "Titanic," has hit the internet, but unfortunately for you, the trailer isn't going to look much different than one from 1997.
