For the two movies Michael Fassbender has coming out this fall, you'd think he'd have a lot of sex on his mind. After diagnosing sexual issues in "A Dangerous Method," he takes on the role of an addict in "Shame."
"I guess I've sort of been delving into it a little bit with a little bit of metal manipulation in between," Fassbender told MTV News during the "Dangerous Method" press junket, referencing "X-Men: First Class."
But Fassbender said that he didn't give the similarities much thought when he was choosing his roles. "It's weird because I didn't even think of the two together. Once I do something, I tend to leave it behind pretty quickly, but it's a very intense process for that time, filming and prep and then it's on to the next thing," he said. "I kind of wash it away pretty fast and move on to the next thing, so I didn't even see the correspondence between 'A Dangerous Method' and 'Shame.'"

For the past two weeks, it seemed like every day brought a new, hugely discussed trailer. With first looks at "Snow White and the Huntsman," "Mirror, Mirror," "Brave" and "The Hunger Games" all debuting recently, next year's biggest blockbusters were all vying for your attention.

The first poster for "The Expendables 2" looks like the result of a Photoshop contest called, "Make a one-sheet for the most ridiculous action movie of all time."
Posed with the challenge of fitting all of Hollywood's past and future action movie kings into a single image, the "Expendables 2" poster, which debuted over at JoBlo, opts for the efficient "just stack 'em all on top of each other" method, with Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis, Statham, Norris, Van Damme, Lundgren, and Crews all making the cut.
And that's not even the entire cast.

"Ender's Game" is finally close to finding its Ender.
"Hugo" star Asa Butterfield has been offered the role of the title character in the upcoming adaptation of Orson Scott Card's classic sci-fi novel, Deadline reports. I guess all it takes is being a 14-year-old who has already headlined a Martin Scorcese film to convince studio execs that you're an actor to balance a potential franchise on!
Butterfield is the first -- and most important -- actor to be brought on board the project, though more casting announcements are likely soon to follow. The film, which will be directed by "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" helmer Gavin Hood, is still in early pre-production stages.

Ridley Scott could soon become a very busy man. In addition to developing a sequel to "Blade Runner," the "Prometheus" director is eying two other big budget projects that he could potentially helm over the next year.
The first film on his docket is a biopic about Gertrude Bell appropriately titled "Gertrude Bell." The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Angelina Jolie is poised to star in the film, though the deal hasn't been finalized yet. It would be her first live action film since 2010's "The Tourist," and would align with her own interest in international policy.
Also on Scott's list of potential projects is a movie that could star Gerard Butler.

Peter Bishop has it pretty easy. Well, actually, it's Joshua Jackson that has it pretty easy. You see, he's the only guy on "Fringe" who doesn't have to play like a million different versions of his character on the show.
And he's not complaining.
"I mean, I can see the fun that everyone's having with their doppelgangers. But I'm not gonna lie, the extra six weeks off this summer was pretty awesome," he joked in an interview with MTV News. "So, while I was sitting there on vacation, I was not thinking to myself, 'Gosh, I wish I was having a conversation with myself right now as a different version of me.' It seems like it would be fun once and then a bit of a pain in the ass after that, so I'm not terribly jealous."

"The Devil's Double" is an impressive feat on a lot of levels, but there's no doubt that it's the work of actor Dominic Cooper as two wildly different roles — the psychotic son of Saddam Hussein, Uday, and his reluctant body double, Latif Yahia — that absolutely sells the movie. Even though the acting effort was a fantastic success on Cooper's part, there were some initial doubts about how the "Devil's Double" production team would be able to pull it off.
"Even as I was writing this, I was thinking, 'I don't know how the f--- we're going to do this,'" confesses writer Michael Thomas in this exclusive clip from the "Devil's Double" DVD, in stores on Tuesday (November 22). "How are you going to get a performance out of one guy, then another performance out of the same guy at the same time, when they're in practically every single scene?"

If you’ve ever watched daytime or late-night TV it’s very likely you’ve seen Regis Philbin in action – he’s been a constant presence there for the past several decades. This morning he made his final appearance as co-host of “Live! With Regis and Kelly” (formerly “Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee”); it’s a gig he’s had for the past 28 years.
Though Reeg is most closely associated with television (he’s in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most hours logged on the air), he’s also made many film appearances over the years. Here are five notable ones, in chronological order.

After watching both George Clooney and Bradley Cooper walk away from "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," director Steven Soderbergh is also finding it time to say goodbye.
The director has been developing the project with writer Scott Z. Burns since early 2010, but due to disagreements with studio Warner Bros and the lack of a leading man, Soderbergh decided to pass. The Playlist writes that Soderbergh and WB couldn't agree over casting and budget decisions, and the "Contagion" director decided to depart after deals with Cooper fell through only a few days ago.
Channing Tatum, who has become a regular in Soderbergh's recent movies, was briefly considered for the lead part in the spy flick, but ended up being passed over by WB.

You know what movie profession is in need of serious comeback? The spy. Not the "all flash and explosions of James Bond" spy, but the "shadowy guy on the street corner" spy. It's been too long since we've celebrated the clandestine charm of old-fashioned intelligence agents. It's time we bring them back.
Thankfully, we're in luck. "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" is just the movie to do it. The film, which touts an all-British cast of ridiculously high caliber led by Gary Oldman, doesn't hit theaters until December 9, but we have three exclusive clips from the movie.
