Safe House

If you ever need someone to play the weathered vet, who just might be off his hinges and finds himself paired with a still-green rookie, you never have to look much further than Denzel Washington.

In the brand new trailer for "Safe House," Washington plays a dangerous rogue CIA agent who walks into an American consulate in South Africa, apparently to turn himself in. Ryan Reynolds works at the safe house where Washington is brought after his capture.

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are all household names, but they weren't always that way. A little tiny something called "Twilight" changed the game for each of them, elevating them from promising young actors to full-fledged movie stars. Whether you're pinning it on Kristen's allure, Rob's mystique or Taylor's infamous abs, there's no doubt that there's a unique chemistry to the core "Twilight" trio that is absolutely essential to making these films work. And, according to the three of them, the chemistry between them came very quickly.

"I think [our chemistry] was very immediate," Lautner told us during "MTV First: 'Breaking Dawn – Part 1,'" our exclusive 30-minute chat with the "Twilight" cast last night (November 3). "Amongst everyone, it was just a warm and fuzzy feeling."

Hobbit

It's always a welcome surprise to wake up to a brand new production diary from the set of "The Hobbit." Peter Jackson and his team have really made these video blogs something to look forward to, and the latest continues the tradition of amping up anticipation for the two-part fantasy prequel.

The fourth production diary focuses on what is arguably the biggest difference between "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" films, the way it's being filmed. In the ten minute video, Jackson takes viewers through the technology being used to travel back to Middle Earth.

DanRadIf you -- like me -- are upset because you never quite could get the timing right to go see Daniel Radcliffe perform live on Broadway in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying," this should be some good news for you.

NBC is reporting that Radcliffe and the rest of the cast of the musical are going to be marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

And, though it's not confirmed in the news release, my gut is telling me that at least one song and dance number from the show might be featured as well.

"Breaking Dawn" won't fully finish the "Twilight" saga until part two arrives in theaters next fall. But even before Kristen Stewart puts Bella Swan behind her, she'll be stepping into another iconic character's shoes — or armor, as it were.

Stewart is the star of "Snow White and the Huntsman," director Rupert Sanders' take on the classic fairy tale about the fairest maiden of them all. But don't call this Snow White a maiden — in Sanders' vision, Stewart's Snow is a sword-wielding, armor-clad warrior training under the tutelage of the titular huntsman, played by "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth. Those involved with "Huntsman" have already drawn comparisons to "Lord of the Rings," and it's not just because of their similarities in style… if all goes well, "Snow White" could launch a brand new franchise for Stewart.

But having already participated in five "Twilight" films, some of the most hotly watched movies in recent memory, is Stewart really ready for another franchise? We put that question to the star during "MTV First: 'Breaking Dawn – Part 1'" — our exclusive sit-down with "Twilight" stars Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — and she explained why she's more than happy to continue on with the "Snow White" brand.

Alice Cooper

When Johnny Depp's Barnabas Collins throws a party, he asks Alice Cooper to bring a little musical ambiance in Tim Burton's upcoming "Dark Shadows" remake. The veteran rocker, who just released a brand new album, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare," will be appearing in the "Alice in Wonderland" director's reboot of the gothic soap opera.

Cooper plays himself in the movie — which is set in 1972 — and he'll be performing the classic "No More Mr. Nice Guy" for his Collins party set. On rock, horror, and comedy, Cooper told the Los Angeles Times: "Tim Burton knows it so well. He’s one of a kind. He’s a kindred spirit."

There's a lot of horror happening at Santa Monica's American Film Market (AFM) this week — which means there's a lot of wheelin' and dealin' for new projects in the pipeline that want to get made. See what new terror tales are being previewed this week, and catch up on other horror bites past the break.

Skyfall

Goodbye "Untitled James Bond 23" code title, hello "Skyfall." At long last, the name for Sam Mendes' take on the 007 franchise has been revealed, along with some other key details about the project.

Director Sam Mendes met with 100 journalists at a London press launch for the flick to offer some details about the secretive production. However, according to a report written up by Reuters, Mendes still wasn't ready to give everything away. He confirmed a number of the actors involved in the project -- including Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes -- but could "give you very little information about" the characters they're playing. Still, fans looking for some more details to chew on should be happy with the tidbits Mendes let slip today.
