It didn't take long after last week's big press conference announcing the title and start of production of "Skyfall," the new James Bond film starring Daniel Craig, for even more news to start trickling in. Yesterday, the official Twitter feed for the superspy (@007) released the first official picture from the set: a non-earth-shattering snap of a clapperboard.
Now, the production adds two more actresses to the already star-studded cast. Helen McCrory, perhaps better known as the villainous mother Narcissa Malfoy from the "Harry Potter" films, and Ola Repace, a Swedish actress, have joined the cast that includes Craig, Dame Judi Dench, Javier Bardem and Naomie Harris.

Hollywood and the videogame industry have a rocky relationship. Years ago, when gaming was still in its infancy, developers would have given anything to have their title adapted into a film franchise. That eventually did happen, thanks to "Super Mario Bros." in the early '90s, but the film was – well, it's absolute garbage. Unfortunately, the tradition of poor videogame adaptations has continued with almost complete certainty since then, leaving both film and game audiences wary of the industry's attempts to cross that digital divide.
Ubisoft is trying something different with "Assassin's Creed." The game publisher is retaining abnormal amounts of creative control over the mega-franchise's jump to the big screen; a move that has some Hollywood insiders claiming that the picture will never see the light of day.

FROM MTV MOVIES: Two very different heist flicks went head-to-head over the weekend, and in a surprising upset, a rapier-wielding cartoon cat emerged victorious over two high-profile comedians. In a turn of events that was somewhat shocking to Hollywood, Eddie Murphy's return from the land of family-friendly fare alongside Ben Stiller in the PG-13 "Tower Heist" opened behind last weekend's #1 movie, "Puss in Boots."
Audiences continued to come out to watch the 3-D "Shrek" spinoff character snatch some magic beans from an evil Jack and Jill in "Puss in Boots" to the tune of $33 million, keeping the DreamWorks Animation flick at #1 with a $75.5 million domestic total. "Puss" dropped just three percent from its $33.04 million debut, which marked an unprecedentedly low non-holiday decline for a wide release.

Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington make an unlikely action duo in the new ad for new game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3." The live-action commercial for one of this fall's biggest releases casts Hill as "The Noob" and Worthington as "The Veteran," as the two travel the world, from New York to Paris and Berlin, and teach each other valuable lessons about war and video games.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who has the most clever "Snow White" title of them all?
Tarsem Singh is attempting to take that medal with his recently titled "Mirror Mirror." (Truth be told, we were growing fond of "Untitled Tarsem Singh Snow White Project That's Not The Kristen Stewart Snow White Project," but all good things must come to an end.) Now his film -- which stars Lily Collins, by the way -- will ditch the "Snow White" altogether and opt for one of the most classic phrases from the fairytale.

Long-time personal friend of Michael Jackson, David Gest, has never been quiet about his opinions when it comes to the late performer. A new documentary, "Michael Jackson: The Life of an Icon," which Gest produced, attacks the charges of child molestation head on and defends the legacy of the iconic singer.
Now with a verdict imminent in the manslaughter case against Jackson's former physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, Gest took some time to talk to MTV News about the trial and why he says he hasn't been following it.
"I find it too hard to watch," Gest told MTV News. Gest and Jackson had spent much of their early lives as very close friends, and that connection is what has made the trial so difficult. "I knew Michael so well that I just find it too hard to watch."

Working on a J.J. Abrams production isn't all secrets and mystery; there's also a lot of joking going on too. "Super 8" cast members Joel Courtney, Ryan Lee and Riley Griffiths shared their memories from working with the notoriously secretive director in this exclusive behind the scenes clip from the upcoming Blu-ray, hitting stores on November 22.
The clip also shares with us a peek of Abrams giving his young stars Courtney and Elle Fanning direction during a scene from this past summer's homage to the early films of producer Steven Spielberg. "J.J. is super nice," Courtney told cameras for the clip. "He's very interactive in his directing, and he knows what he wants."

"Immortals" finally hits theaters this Friday (November 11), and you know what that means: our weekly roundup of exclusive first looks is drawing to a close. But if "Immortals" Mondays has to go out, at least it goes out in style, courtesy of Stephen Dorff.
Dorff, still one of the all-time greatest comic book movie villains as Deacon Frost in "Blade," absolutely steals the show in "Immortals" as Stavros, a thief whose tongue is even sharper than his blade. This exclusive clip from "Immortals" showcases one of Dorff's finest scenes in the film, with Stavros wielding the all-powerful Epirus bow in a great time of need.
