Henry Cavill won't burst onto the scene as Superman for a little while yet, but you're about to get your first good look at the man in action-hero mode this weekend with the release of "Immortals." The actor appeared on The Tonight Show this week to talk about his new movie, and he offered up quite a bit on his "Man of Steel" routine as well. We've got the full rundown on his appearance right over here.

Based on this new art for "Snow White and the Huntsman," it looks like this flick might really be the fairest of them all.
The Kristen Stewart-led flick shows off its fantasy colors in a new banner teasing the upcoming trailer, which is hitting the web tomorrow. Sure, it's photoshopped to all hell, but the banner shows off a very "Lord of the Rings"-esque visual style, just like director Rupert Sanders promised. So what if we can only see half of all the actors' faces? Like Sanders could just give everything away all at once.
But there are plenty of nods to what fans can expect in this expansive banner for "Snow White and the Huntsman." That sword in Stewart's hand is proving that her Snow White is no Bella Swan, for sure.

Each year during the month of November, men grow mustaches to help raise cancer-fighting funds for the Livestrong and Prostate Cancer Foundations. It's a month-long effort to change the face of men's health called Movember. As the sound of 'staches sprouting worldwide sends a manly signal across the globe, one begins to compulsively contemplate the many amazing mustaches men have sported in movies throughout the years.
Let's begin with a look at a popular film profession well known for its prowess in the proud mustache tradition: Police officers!

Danny Glover as Roger Murtaugh in the "Lethal Weapon" franchise
Roger Murtaugh was a solid cop for years, but when he began his 50th birthday by shaving his beard into a mustache, he went from being a good cop getting the job done to an exceptional lawman taking down drug cartels and Asian mob operations. Murtaugh's 'stache was "too old for this s---" in the first "Lethal Weapon" but kept kicking and kicking ass for three more films. Most would claim his partner Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) was a bigger key to his success, but don't overlook his other constant companion: the mustache.
FROM MTV MOVIES: In a move that falls right in line with the old adage "actions speak louder than words," director Brett Ratner has stepped down as producer of the 2012 Academy Awards.
Ratner submitted his resignation to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organization in charge of the Oscars, on Tuesday (November 8), according to a statement posted on Oscars.org. The "Tower Heist" director has been making headlines over the past few days — first, due to his comments about a sexual relationship with Olivia Munn, then at a screening of "Heist," where he used a gay slur, claiming that "rehearsal is for f--s."
"He did the right thing for the Academy and for himself," Academy President Tom Sherak said in the statement. "Words have meaning, and they have consequences. Brett is a good person, but his comments were unacceptable. We all hope this will be an opportunity to raise awareness about the harm that is caused by reckless and insensitive remarks, regardless of the intent."

Hip hop artist Heavy D died today (November 8th) at the far too young age of 44. The "Now That We Found Love" singer was best known for his work in the R&B scene, but the Jamaican-born Heavy D was a known quantity on the screen as well. Indeed, his work as an actor can be seen as recently as "Tower Heist," the Brett Ratner-directed and Eddie Murphy-starring comedy currently playing in theaters.
In honor of Heavy D, take a look back at some of the artist's most memorable turns on the big screen.

Interest surrounding "Cosmopolis" is high among different groups for different reasons. The fans of art films eagerly await everything David Cronenberg does. Fans of "Twilight" are desperate to see what post-vampire fame will mean for the leading man, Robert Pattinson. Either way, new photos from the Don DeLillo adaptation should spark the imaginations of both camps.
The latest images, which appear in the Portuguese magazine Atual (via Cosmopolis Film), show Pattinson looking particularly unhinged aiming a revolver just off-screen.

FROM MTV MOVIES: It's one of the biggest — and most inexplicable — hits of 2011, a song so popular that its hook was name-checked during player introductions on Sunday Night Football, so massive that Jay-Z and Kanye West have taken to performing it multiple times per set on their Watch the Throne Tour.
We're talking, of course, about "N---as in Paris," the max-impact Throne single that has become a sensation, thanks in no small part to producer Hit-Boy's bouncing beat, West's pop-cult wordplay ("What's that jacket, Margiela?") and, of course, a pair of oddball samples taken from Will Ferrell's 2007 figure-skating comedy "Blades of Glory."
As you're probably aware, "Paris" kicks off with Ferrell's grizzled Chazz Michael Michaels defiantly declaring, "We're gonna skate to one song and one song only," then really picks up steam mid-song, when (in a move that could alternately be described as "completely inspired" or "completely insane"), Hit-Boy drops the beat and lets the song roll on a second Ferrell sample: "No one knows what it means, but it's provocative ... it gets the people going!"

Christian Bale is set to continue his Academy Awards takeover. Last year, the "Dark Knight Rises" star won his first Oscar for his supporting role in "The Fighter," and this year one of his movies will be eligible for a golden statue as well.
China has chosen Bale's film "The Flowers of War" as its official selection in the foreign-language category at the Oscars this year. It comes from director Zhang Yimou, best known in the US for directing the 2002 movie "Hero." The film will receive a limited US release starting in late December, after its world premiere in China on December 16. "The Flowers of War" is set against the backdrop of the Nanking Massacre during the second Sino-Japanese War in 1937.
