The comparisons between "Immortals" and "300" are inevitable, but the stars of Tarsem Singh's big budget take on Greek mythology say that the flick is a lot more than "just a guy movie." Sure it's got lots of violence, slo-mo and special effects, but it's also got the impressive visual stamp of Singh which is something that can be appreciated by everyone.

"This is Tarsem Singh we're talking about here, it's a visual spectacle, and the 3-D only adds to that," leading man Henry Cavill said. "I will say in the past I've been skeptical of [3-D, but] after seeing this, the technology has come along so far. This is incredible, and all the violence in the movie, if people don't like that, it's actually art-ified. It becomes a 'beautific' ballet of blood if you will."

Plus, the ladies will love the film's "incredible love story."

Billy CrystalFROM MTV MOVIES: Another day, another headline-making story surrounding the already-turbulent 2012 Oscars. This time, the story has a more safe and familiar ring to it: Billy Crystal has officially signed on to host the show.

Crystal spilled the beans via Twitter on Thursday afternoon (November 10).

"Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions," he wrote. "Looking forward to the show."

Following Crystal's tweet, the Academy released a statement confirming the hosting news. "Some of the best moments of my career have happened on the Oscar stage," Crystal said in the statement. "I am thrilled to be back there."

"Do you like to smell pretty?" Never before have such innocent words held such horrible meaning, as Jonah Hill found out firsthand during the filming of "The Sitter."

In an exclusive clip that debuted during "MTV First: 'The Sitter'" earlier this evening, Hill's "Sitter" character Noah Jaybird finds himself taking care of a cute little angel who's secretly anything but. Her first course of action towards her new babysitter: spray a straight stream of perfume directly into his mouth, not once, but twice. Needless to say, the prank does not go over well.

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Mirror, mirror on the wall, which "Snow White" movie is the greatest of them all? It's still too soon to answer that question, perhaps, but "Snow White and the Huntsman" certainly has the advantage right now thanks to its newly released trailer!

The first official "Snow White and the Huntsman" trailer arrived online today courtesy of Apple, gifting fans with their best look yet at what director Rupert Sanders has in store for his fairy tale starring "Twilight" sensation Kristen Stewart, "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth and "Monster" Oscar winner Charlize Theron. MuppetsIt's time to play the music. It's time to light the lights, and if you ask the roughly 36,000 people who have joined online campaigns on Twitter and Facebook, it's time for the Muppets to host the Oscars.

After two days of stealing headlines, the 84th Academy Awards have founds themselves without a host. It didn't take long after Eddie Murphy announced his resignation as host for a Twitter account, @MuppetOscars and Facebook group "The Muppets Should Host the 2012 Oscars" to start to gain momentum. Both accounts date back to before Murphy was selected by then-producer, Brett Ratner, to host the show, and now with the new hosting flux, the accounts have exploded in popularity. Each profile gained thousands of followers in a matter of hours.

Red Tails

As the end of the year approaches, the release of George Lucas' decades-in-development pet project draws closer and closer. The third trailer for "Red Tails" once again previews the heroic story of the Tuskegee Airmen and their fight for a chance to defend their country against the Nazis.

Lucas started his own fight to get the film about the African-American airmen to the big screen all the way back in 1988. Now he will only have to wait until January 20 when "Red Tails" finally hits theaters.

Girl with the Dragon TattooSome actors mentally transform into their roles for a movie, but "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" star Rooney Mara had to do it physically.

The last time Mara appeared in a film (appropriately David Fincher's "The Social Network"), she had long, luscious brown hair and a very girl-next-door overall vibe. But no longer. Mara and Fincher open up to Entertainment Weekly in this week's issue and talk about how the prestigious director told his leading lady right up front that she was going to have to change a lot for the role.

"I told Rooney, 'You're going to be emaciated, you have to be naked, you have to get raped [on screen], get pierced, smoke cigarettes, ride a motorcycle,'" Fincher recalled saying. "'I need you to really concentrate and tell me this is something you want.'"

Spoiler alert: it was.

Now you'll get to kill off all of your favorite characters yourself! A new action-RPG based on George R.R. Martin's hit fantasy series, starting with "Game of Thrones," is hitting PC and next generation consoles in early 2012. French developers Cyanide Studios have posted a couple of screen shots to their blog.

From the look of the grabs, the video game will pull more directly from Martin's books instead of the HBO series, so unfortunately, you won't have the pleasure of seeing an Eddard Stark that looks like Sean Bean. What you will recognize is the snowy landscape and dirty looking brutes. Cyanide put out their first "Game of Thrones" game this fall, a strategy game called "Game of Thrones: Genesis."
