"The Hunger Games" trailer is here, and by the look of things, the odds are ever in your favor… if you know what you're looking at, that is.
For fans of Suzanne Collins' novels, this is the best look yet at the Jennifer Lawrence starring adaptation. Having read the book, I'm very happy with the outcome. But those of you who haven't read "The Hunger Games," I can imagine some head-scratching over the new trailer.

Twenty-six years after the world witnessed Marty McFly perform Chuck Berry's hit "Johnny B. Goode" on the big screen in "Back to the Future," Michael J. Fox has returned to the stage to perform again.
Fox took to the stage at his A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinsons charity benefit at the Waldorf-Astoria. Based on the video released of the performance, it looks like Fox closed out the event in high style with some pretty epic guitar shreds. Fox surprised attendees with his last-minute performance.

We're getting closer and closer to the official release of "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol," the fourth entry in the Tom Cruise-starring spy franchise. And with a fast-approaching release date comes a double dose of "M:I 4" news, beginning with a brand new poster, which you can see above.
In addition to the new poster, news has dropped that the fourth "Mission" is headed to Dubai once again. After shooting what looks to be one heck of a breathtaking action sequence on the massive Burj Khalifa tower, "Ghost Protocol" is returning to the city for the eighth annual Dubai International Film Festival.

"Immortals" arrived in theaters this weekend and stole the box office's thunder, proving that fall season moviegoers were indeed craving some hard R-rated action. Of course, the comparisons to "300" couldn't have hurt Tarsem Singh's latest picture's box office performance. Over on Splash Page, we measured out the similarities and differences between "Immortals" and "300" and decided which one we like better. It was a close call, but there was a winner.

As Peter Bishop tries to work back into the fold on "Fringe," he's now struggling to figure out how to act around the people he used to know and love. The two relationships he's having the hardest time with are the ones with his mad scientist dad, Walter, and his detective lady love, Olivia. Joshua Jackson explained to us how he thinks it's all going to shake out on "Fringe."
"I think Peter went on an interesting journey for the first three years," Jackson told MTV News during a phone interview recently. "We meet him, he doesn’t want to be there, he doesn’t like his father, this crazy blond girl keeps on trying to rope him into ridiculous things that he doesn’t want to be a part of and he's basically just begging for an exit strategy. He just wants to get out of there."

Sure, if you want to know if "Immortals" is worth checking out this weekend, you could head over to Rotten Tomatoes, where you'd find, as of Friday afternoon, the 3-D epic with just a 39-percent freshness rating. Or, hey, you could wait for a buddy to fork over his cash and then ask him if you, too, should pony up at the multiplex. Fine solutions, all.
But why do any of these things when you can simply turn to rapper-activist Immortal Technique for the lowdown on "Immortals"? It's all thanks to our friends over at NextMovie, who have previously invited MC Hammer to review "Thor" and "Insane Clown Posse" to judge "Water for Elephants." So hit play on the video below for Immortal Technique's thoughts on why Mickey Rourke is the "illest bad guy" and his lamentation that the film's only sex scene is G rated.

In Jason Statham's upcoming film "Safe," he's finally found a girl worth fighting for. Except, in this case, she's only 12 years old.
The "Transporter" star plays a former New York cop who gets caught in a tricky situation when he spots some men attempting to capture a young girl in a subway station. After incapacitating them and rescuing the girl (could this technically be kidnapping? I guess we'll find out in the movie), he discovers that the reason the men are after her is because she has the ability to memorize anything placed in front of her, and this time she memorized something pretty darn important.
The series of numbers she was forced to remember are a code, but a code for what? Apparently it's for something important enough to go to war over.

What do you get when you take Steven Soderbergh, a famous mixed martial artist and some of the most impressive men in Hollywood? That would be "Haywire," the upcoming action thriller starring Gina Carano, the fighter lucky enough to face off against the likes of Michael Fassbender, Channing Tatum and Ewan McGregor.
A second trailer for the film has hit the web, and this time it's Fassbender getting the crap beat out of him in the opening minutes of the video instead of Tatum. Though less plot-heavy than the first trailer released after Comic-Con, this second "Haywire" teaser is a more succinct look at the action-packed roller-coaster the movie promises to be. So you better watch out, Michael Douglas, because this ex-CIA operative is coming for you.
At long last, "Immortals" has finally arrived! Director Tarsem Singh's swords-and-sandals epic slashes its way into theaters today (November 11) to deliver one of the greatest visual thrill rides of the fall movie season.
"Immortals" stars Henry Cavill as Theseus, a strong youth who finds himself caught in a war between mortal men and beings from another plane of existence. The vicious King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) seeks an ancient and terrible power, and only Theseus, who comes to possess the legendary Epirius Bow, can put an end to his reign of terror.
There's little doubt that "Immortals" is the most action-packed movie currently in theaters. For those of you seeking blood, guts and gore, there's no excuse to miss this one. If you need additional reasons to check out "Immortals," we've got five beyond the jump.

We don't know whether to thank or send hate mail to Adam Sandler and the rest of the crew of "Jack and Jill" for now making us wonder what our favorite actors would look like, to put it bluntly, as ladies. With "Jack and Jill" making its theatrical debut today, MTV's brilliant in-house Photoshop expert Sohyung Kang put the heads of four of our favorite actors on the bodies of some sexy women just to see what the result would be. And, to be honest, we're a bit turned on and put off by how pretty Robert Pattinson ended up being.
It's okay to dislike some of their make-up decisions -- that lipstick is not your shade, Alice Pacino -- but we definitely think this opens up some creative options for Pattinson, Pacino, Ryan Gosling and Daniel Radcliffe in the future. If Glenn Close can so convincingly switch genders in "Albert Nobbs" and Sandler can not-quite-as-convincingly switch them in "Jack and Jill," we think these guys could have something going for them as well.
