At long last, this week sees the release of "13," director Géla Babluani's adaptation of his own 2005 French film. The movie follows Vincent "Vince" Ferro (Sam Riley), a young man with a desperate need for cash. His desperation drags him into the underground world of Russian roulette, where he has to participate in several deadly games to earn his paycheck. It's not a pretty living, but someone's gotta do it!
"13" features an incredible cast including "Expendables" alums Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and "The Departed" badass Ray Winstone. It also has a spot for "True Blood" hunk Alexander Skarsgård, who just so happens to be the star of this exclusive clip from "13." Skarsgård puts his fangs away in favor of some gun-loading lessons for roulette newbie Vince. Check it out in the video below.

Joss Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing," the "Avengers" director's adaptation of the William Shakespeare comedy classic, is starting to become a little less mysterious.
How did Whedon manage to shoot this movie while simultaneously working with Earth's Mightiest Heroes for Marvel Studios, for example? What went into his casting process? How was he able to keep his cast quiet? Did he have to threaten notorious tweeter Nathan Fillion with violence?

Today is a great day for Blu-Ray collectors! The "Jurassic Park" trilogy is now available in all its dino-tastic, awesome old school special effects glory. It's hard to believe that the original "Jurassic Park" came out almost 20 years ago, I remember the trauma/delight of that moviegoing experience like it was yesterday...
To celebrate this excellent event, MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with a few of the film's key players: Ariana Richards (aka Lex) and the multiple award-winning FX masterminds Dennis Muren, Phil Tippett and John Rosengrant. Check out the video below to see what they had to say about their favorite scenes and what the experience meant to them.
"I love revisiting the kitchen scene because it was so intense and I always found it one of the most frightening scenes to watch," Richards said of the scene that sticks out the most in her memory. "There was a moment in there where I needed to save my brother from being killed by one of these things and Steven [Spielberg] came over to me and said, 'Ariana, just scare us. Just let loose.' And I did, and I didn't know I could do it, but he brought things out of me that I didn't know I had."

The Boy Who Lived won't be living on store shelves for much longer.
It's hard to deny that there's a big market for the "Harry Potter" film franchise. The final film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," went on to gross $380.5 million domestic and $1.3 billion worldwide, making it the highest grossing "Potter" movie to date. But less than a month and a half after "Part 2" hits DVD and Blu-Ray on November 11, Warner Bros is going to put all the "Potter" films on moratorium until an unannounced future date.
Can we be the first blog to dub this the "Gringotts Vault" after Walt Disney's "Disney Vault"?

Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's attempt to adapt Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series over multiple films and television seasons has hit something of a snag: sporting a high price tag and an unprecedented rollout plan, "Dark Tower" proved too ambitious for Universal to handle. But if Grazer is to be believed, "The Dark Tower" isn't too big for HBO.
Speaking with MTV News at the "Tower Heist" press junket this past weekend, Grazer revealed that "The Dark Tower" is still very much on track, so much so that that HBO has come on board.
"We're going to do ['The Dark Tower'] with HBO," Grazer told us. "We'll do the TV with HBO, and we'll do the movie with… to be determined. We'll do it right."

Apparently Dr. Seuss won't be the only colorful character in Johnny Depp's upcoming biopic about the children's book author. Some of his beloved characters might be making an appearance in the film as well.
In an interview with Larry King, Depp said that the biographical movie will likely feature a combination of live action and animation.
"It's something we're developing with Seuss' widow, [Theodor] Geisel's widow," he said. "It's a very exciting possibility, because it's a combination of live-action and ... the characters will certainly have a role."

The stars of "Star Trek 2" are very excited that J.J. Abrams is returning to the director's chair for the sequel. MTV News caught up with Zachary Quinto and Anton Yelchin recently while they were promoting their upcoming films "Margin Call" and "Like Crazy," and the two expressed nothing but enthusiasm about the news that Abrams will be helming the follow up to 2009's hit "Star Trek."
"I think it would be unimaginable to make that film without J.J., so to know that he's going to be at the helm again and sort of manning the ship so to speak is pretty amazing," Yelchin said. "We all have such tremendous respect for him and he's such a brilliant human being that it gives you great confidence in going in to make this again."
Quinto echoed the same sentiments, saying that he "would never have imagined" that Abrams wouldn't have come back for the sequel. Since Abrams has many film, television and book properties up in the air, it took about two years for him to confirm his involvement for "Star Trek 2," and Quinto said he's glad that "there's no doubt about that."

Kit Harrington and Joel Kinnaman are eyeing a trip to Camelot.
The "Game of Thrones" and "The Killing" stars have reportedly tested for Warner Bros' King Arthur project "Arthur & Lancelot," The Hollywood Reporter has learned. It's unclear whether the TV stars tested for one or both of the roles. THR says that the two are now the frontrunners for the roles. "Wedding Crashers" director David Dobkin is both writing and directing the project.
