Welcome to MTV's Killer Halloween! All week long, we're looking at ten of the greatest horror movie villains of all time, and with your help, we'll determine once and for all just how powerful these murdering psychopaths and evil masterminds really are.
Our contestants: Freddy Krueger ("A Nightmare on Elm Street"), Jason Voorhees ("Friday the Thirteenth"), Michael Myers ("Halloween"), Ghostface ("Scream"), Leatherface ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"), Chucky ("Child's Play"), Norman Bates ("Psycho"), Pinhead ("Hellraiser"), Hannibal Lecter ("Silence of the Lambs") and Jigsaw ("Saw").
Having great style, effective weaponry and a killer personality is all well and dandy, but what really makes a horror killer so special is the gross factor. Whether it's the nausea you feel when gazing upon their faces, or the stomach-churning sensation you suffer on witnessing their grotesque acts of violence, a horror movie killer's bloodsoaked rampage is meaningless without a viewer's need to vomit. Thankfully, our competitors bring the gag reflex in spades.
Vote on the Killer Halloween murderers' respective gross factors — one being tame, five being impossibly revolting — after the jump!

Despite the fact that we know little-to-nothing about Sam Raimi's sure-to-be-excellent "Oz: The Great And Powerful," aside from its intriguing A-list cast and basic premise of course, we're pretty sure it's going to be one of our favorite movies of 2013. Raimi just seems like the perfect person to take us back to Oz, and since he has the likes James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff with him for the ride, it just seems like a slam dunk.
Anyway, the only problem with the film so far is that none of the parties involved will tell us anything about it! When MTV News happened upon the lovely yet reserved Ms. Williams at the Hollywood Awards Gala recently however, we did get a few good descriptors about what life has been like on set and working with Mr. Sam Raimi.

Batman protects the 99% from the plentiful crazies Gotham City has to offer, but he won't stand beside them on Wall Street. Despite rumors to the contrary, "The Dark Knight Rises" won't be shooting in New York's Zuccotti Park, so you can kiss those Bruce Wayne-meets-Wall Street protestors mashup fantasies goodbye, unfortunately.

FROM MTV MOVIES: There seems to be two varying opinions on whether "Beverly Hill Cop 4" will ever happen. Ask the attached director, Brett Ratner, and he'll tell you he wants to make it happen with Eddie Murphy. But the response is ... rather different if you put the same question to the A-list actor.
MTV News recently caught up with Ratner as he promoted "Tower Heist," out this Friday and starring yes, Murphy. The director sounded hopeful about another "Cop" sequel.
"I think one day, I'm hoping, because it is one of the most iconic characters ever," Ratner told us. "Eddie does not go anywhere in the world where they're not like, 'Axel Foley, what's up?' more than 'Eddie Murphy.' It is something that our hope and desire is to get it made."
Much like he did with MTV News, Ratner has spoken on several occasions about his hopes for a fourth movie featuring the legendary Axel Foley, a Detroit cop who finds himself solving crimes in the very posh Beverly Hills.
In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, however, Eddie Murphy tells the magazine that the possibilities for a fourth "Beverly Hills Cop" film are dead.

“The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” has adapted Swedish author Stieg Larsson’s crime thriller novel of the same name in a perfect cacophony of white hot director David Fincher, newly most-sought-after score master Trent Reznor and fan-approved leads Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. The film, which features Mara as a tormented computer hacker, probably doesn’t need a real hand in the hype department, but it certainly is appropriate that a Tumblr site helms its viral marketing campaign.
MouthTapedShut.com, the as of yet unofficial viral marketing hub for the “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,” has posted a new poster — just as striking as the first one we saw, albeit for different, less naked reasons.

All "Harry Potter" DVDs are being pulled from store shelves at the end of the year, heading into Warner Bros.' vault for an as-yet-unknown length of time.
Fans are understandably frustrated by the news — first, no more new "Potter" movies, and now we can't even buy the old ones anymore? — but perhaps there's a silver lining to be found. If there is, there's no one better to identify it than some of the top "Potter" experts and movie commentators floating around the blogosphere. We reached out to NextMovie's Breanne Heldman, Hypable's Andrew Sims and MTV's very own Terri Schwartz for their thoughts on the latest "Potter" news.

With the latest addition of Kerry Washington, the already impressive cast of Quentin Tarantino's next movie, "Django Unchained," just got a little more impressive. Throw in his other recent hire -- Don Johnson -- and it's clear that the auteur is up to his usual quirky casting tricks. Tarantino has always been known for his, ah, interesting choices with his ensemble casts, pulling from both mainstream Hollywood actors and the dustiest corners of pop culture, and resurrecting the careers of fallen stars.
"Django Unchained" is no exception, but how does it stack up with the rest of Tarantino's oeuvre? It's got some tough competition from what have become iconic ensembles, so let's take a look at where the new cast stands in comparison.

In addition to producing "Twelve Years A Slave," Brad Pitt will also be starring in the upcoming Steve McQueen-directed flick.
He'll join Michael Fassbender and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the cast, The Playlist confirms. The movie follows a free black man who was tricked into years of slavery under various owners until a white Canadian carpenter helped launch a court case and finally set him free. It's unclear which role Pitt will be playing, but it likely will be of the carpenter.
