It's no surprise that Kristen Stewart's Snow White in "Snow White and the Huntsman" is going to be a badass. It's just a bit surprising to hear her tell just how badass the fairest of them all is going to be.
"I'm fighting evil—I'm fighting the most evil motherf--kers-and it's fine that they're being killed. It's anguish. It's literally f--king anguish. She takes absolutely no pleasure in ever hurting anything," Stewart said in an interview with Box Office Magazine. "I'm exhausted right now and I was thinking, 'The fight stuff is coming up, maybe that won't be so bad.' And then I realized that they're probably going to be my most emotional scenes because I'm killing people and I'm Snow White."

On Wednesday (October 12), Fox announced that the fifth entry in the "Die Hard" series, due out on Valentine's Day 2013, will be called "A Good Day To Die Hard."
The blogosphere soon erupted in snickers, but some were too quick to forget that a crazy title that riffs on the phrase "Die Hard" is just par for the course for this acclaimed action franchise. We here at MTV News are pumped for the new flick, and while the title lives up to the wacky tradition, we feel it could be even wackier.
To that end, we've suggested a few titles that take it one step further. Prepare to die really, really hard after the jump.

And in one fell swoop, Twitter just got a whole lot m***** f****** better. Samuel L. Jackson has joined Twitter. I think I can safely speak for everyone on the face of the Earth when I say: finally!
The man himself made it official last night on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," the same day the "Avengers" trailer premiered, when he announced his new feed and sent out his first tweet from @SamuelLJackson, "Can-a muh f**kasay f** on here?"
As of right now, Jackson has tweeted 11 times and has a little over 90,000 followers, averaging roughly 8,200 new followers per tweet. He told Fallon that what he really wants is a million followers, so he can catch up with the rest of the Hollywood celebs who weren't so late to the party. We implore you, help him out!
So far, Jackson has used most of his tweets on retweets, so we here at MTV News wanted to throw out a few suggestions to help the new guy out.
FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough aren't the only ones cutting loose for the remake of the classic '80s dance flick "Footloose." Country star Blake Shelton will also kick off his Sunday shoes on the soundtrack with a remake of the toe-tapping "Footloose" theme song (originally sung by Kenny Loggins). And you can join in the fun!
In celebration of the flick's release this Friday, we're giving away one skinned guitar signed by Mr. Shelton himself! And entering for a chance to win couldn't be easier. All you have to do is answer a few simple questions (which you'll find after the jump) by October 18, and you'll be entered for a chance to win!

"The Lone Ranger" isn't so lonely anymore.
After much deliberating and negotiating, Disney has finally decided to move forward with Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski's remake of "The Lone Ranger." Though the movie now has a green light (again), it won't start filming until next year and thus likely won't be able to maintain its original December 21, 2012 release date. Deadline has the details.

Darth Maul is dead. I saw that man die. "The Phantom Menace" has played no fewer than 10 times in my life, and countless more times in the lives of your other friendly neighborhood Movies Blog writers as well. The tattooed, spike-studded, dual-lightsaber-wielding Sith apprentice was cleaved in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi by movie's end, and our hopes for continued Maul awesomeness died with him.
Or so we thought.
George Lucas has once again defied expectations by breathing life back into Darth Maul's lungs. Entertainment Weekly reports that the Sith menace is being resurrected in the new season of "Clone Wars," though the exact how's and why's remain murky. Luckily, that's what you have us for. After the jump, check out the Movies team's best guesses as to how Darth Maul could possibly still be alive.

Less than a week after Steve Jobs' death, word is out that Sony Pictures has completed a deal to bring to the big screen the upcoming authorized Jobs biography by Walter Issacson.
Book-to-movie biopics tend to make bank and have the potential to score critical prestige, as Sony knows well – after all, the studio made “The Social Network” and this fall’s “Moneyball,” both of which were impressive box office earners and critical darlings. There’s no doubt that given the wealth of momentous events and accomplishments in Steve Jobs’ life, a biographic movie promises to be amazing.
The question that immediately comes to mind, then, is: Who should play the Apple genius? After some deliberation, I’ve come up with a shortlist of five. I’m expecting that the movie will focus much more on the latter half of Jobs' life, chronicling his experiences at Apple, so no young’uns in our list here, only veterans that I think are OS X compatible!

Cillian Murphy is no stranger to the apocalypse. Having already survived an outbreak of a rage-fueled virus in "28 Days Later," the "Inception" and "Batman Begins" star is once again returning to a deadly wasteland in "Retreat," the Carl Tibbetts-directed thriller from Samuel Goldwyn Films hitting theaters on October 21, 2011.
Murphy stars alongside Thandie Newton as Martin and Kate, a couple who seclude themselves on an isolated island in the aftermath of a great personal tragedy. But their quiet journey for peace and introspection is rudely interrupted by the arrival of Jack (Jamie Bell), a mysterious stranger who washes ashore with dark tidings: if he's to be believed, a devastating airborne disease has broken out and is sweeping across Europe.
In this exclusive red-band clip from "Retreat," watch as Martin and Kate do their best to literally keep their heads on straight as Jack threatens their lives in the face of great terror.
Warning: the following clip is NSFW due to graphic language.
"Retreat" arrives in theaters on October 21, 2011.

The zombie apocalypse is in full effect — in the worlds of film and television, that is. Three big flesh-eating projects ("World War Z," "Resident Evil: Retribution" and "The Walking Dead," to be exact) are all having very big weeks… some for good reasons, others not so much.

He told you he'd be back, and he lived up to his word: Arnold Schwarzenegger is officially back in action as a movie star.
The former Governator is slated to make his big screen comeback when "The Last Stand" rolls in front of cameras early next year, but we'll get a look at him before that when he reprises his role as Trench in "The Expendables 2." And you won't have to wait for Sylvester Stallone's star-studded sequel to hit theaters to get a first look, either: here's Schwarzenegger himself, providing you with all the photographic evidence you need that his days as an action hero are officially back on.
