"Contagion" is infecting moviegoers nationwide, and a box office-winning weekend isn't the only result of its release. Now that it's been unleashed in theaters, Steven Soderbergh's disease-minded feature has many of us here in the MTV Newsroom wondering what we would do if society started crumbling and the world came to a sudden, gruesome end.

Which "Fast and the Furious" cast member would we want to spend our last few remaining days on Earth with? Which Ben Affleck movies would we, uh, you know to? We put these hard questions and more to Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard and other stars attending the "Contagion" premiere in New York City last week… and their answers may sicken you!

Rodrigo Cortés made a big splash last year at the Sundance Film Festival with his Ryan-Reynolds-in-a-coffin-for-90-minutes thriller, "Buried." For his follow-up feature, the Spanish filmmaker is expanding the scope of his big-screen vision, but doesn't seem to have any interest in ramping down the nerve-jangling intensity of his work, as our exclusive debut of the teaser trailer makes clear.

Good call, Mr. Cortés! The teaser is a minimalist affair, with the camera slowly pushing in on star Robert De Niro sitting on a bed. Intermittent slates appear, filled with symbols that gradually reveal text: "No matter what you think you know…no matter what you believe in…the truth is the most dangerous illusion of all." De Niro eventually turns toward the camera and, well, just hit play on the video to check it out for yourself.

Point Breakby Brian Phares

Call them "cult classics." "Guilty pleasures." "Comfort movies." We all have a mental rolodex of flicks that may not be terribly popular but, for one reason or another, they resonate in a very special way. Maybe you saw it at the right moment. Maybe you just see gold where everyone else sees feces. Whatever the case, these are the special favorites that you keep stashed away for sick days. These are some of ours.

Oh Keanu Reeves, you truly are the king of awesome stunts. From attempting to disarm a bomb under a bus all while riding a crazy four wheeled cart that inevitably gets run over, to warping the very fabric of a virtual reality meant to enslave humans just to dodge a few bullets, is there anything you can't do?

There is one movie, however, that packs your greatest stunt of all time, and now that it's officially being remade, I have no choice but to reminisce about one of the greatest cheesy '90s action movies ever made. That movie, of course, is “Point Break.”

That's it, folks — the show's over. But even though "Entourage" aired its series finale last night, that doesn't mean the boys won't be back in town again sometime soon.

The cast and crew of "Entourage," producer Mark Wahlberg included, have long expressed their desire to bring the exploits of Hollywood star Vincent Chase and his trio of pals from the small screen to the big screen. Now that the show has ended with a finale that offered some closure but still left the door open for future adventures, it's time to start asking: what should the "Entourage" movie be about?

We've got some ideas for possible "Entourage" movie plots after the jump!

Even though it didn't dominate the box office over the weekend, "Warrior" is still a film worth talking about. In addition to the five reasons to see it that I mentioned last week, the film is surprising in all the right ways, one of them being the climactic fight and its outcome.

Without going into spoiler territory, when MTV News caught up with director and co-writer Gavin O'Connor, we asked him how he went about crafting the ending and deciding the fates of the two main characters (played by Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton) - both of whom you are rooting for to win.

ContagionFROM MTV MOVIES: We wouldn't be surprised by a spike in hand-sanitizer sales over the weekend, considering how many folks saw "Contagion." Filmmaker Stephen Soderbergh's procedural thriller — about a pandemic spread through doorknobs, Blackberries and handshakes — was the #1 movie at the box office, with an estimated $23.1 million debut.

"Contagion" — which stars a remarkable number of Academy Award nominees and winners — Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, John Hawkes, Elliott Gould, Jude Law and Laurence Fishburne — has been a hit with critics, with 82 percent of them reviewing the film favorably, according to Rotten Tomatoes.

"Warrior" also boasted 82 percent on the Tomatometer at press time but was only able to muster a paltry $5.6 million in its debut, landing the mixed-martial arts drama at #3 on the box-office chart. By comparison, "The Fighter" (which critics also loved) took in $12.1 million in its 2010 debut.

What an amazingly cruel way to leave an impression on a child: take their most invincible hero, put him on the grandest stage possible and murder him before your young eyes. It wasn’t even an hour into the film when he met his demise, but when the closing credits rolled 84 minutes later, reality sunk in: Optimus Prime was dead and “Transformers: The Movie” was the greatest animated experience for ’80’s babies everywhere.

If you've been paying attention to what's going on at the Toronto International Film Festival, then chances are good that you've already heard about "The Raid," which opened the festival's Midnight Madness last night.

Welsh director Gareth Huw Evans is the mad man responsible for this Indonesian martial arts movie about a SWAT team trapped inside of a deadly tenement with killers and drug addicts lurking about every corner, and reviews already say that it's an absolute can't miss for action movie fans.

Another reason to tune in? Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda will do a new score for the US release. It's the first time he's ever written a score for a film, and our exclusive sneak peek of the movie features a sample of what's to come.
