Expendables 2Yipee-ki-yay, mother lovers — they're back!

Walking away from last year's "The Expendables," the first and foremost thought on my mind focused squarely on the return of Trench and Church, better known as the borderline geriatric duo of badasses briefly played by action icons Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. Their church cameo was cool and all, but it wasn't enough.

Good thing for us then that Sylvester Stallone, director Simon West and the rest of the "Expendables 2" crew are all on the same page, as Deadline reports that both Schwarzenegger and Willis are back in action for the sequel — and not just for mere cameos, either.

FROM MTV MOVIES: Last summer, MTV News got a very special, very twisted look at "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas," the third installment of Kal Penn and John Cho's herbaceous buddy-comedy franchise, when we popped by the Detroit set.

We can't yet show you much of what we saw that day, but as part of our Fall Movie Preview, we're rolling out a tasty nugget of our interview with Penn and Cho. In between cracking jokes about '80s comedies, MTV programming and potential celebrity cameos, the duo let us know what we can expect when the new film, which focuses on the two estranged friends reuniting during the holidays, hits theaters November 4.

Having already demonstrated her ability to "Kick-Ass" as Hit-Girl, Chloe Grace Moretz is out to show a different side of herself in "Hick."

"Hick," directed by Derick Martini, makes its grand debut at the Toronto International Film Festival this coming weekend, offering movie lovers a very different (but no less talented) side of Moretz than you've seen before. If you won't be at Toronto, never fear — we've got an EXCLUSIVE first look at the movie in the video below.

Moretz stars in "Hick" as Luli, a thirteen-year-old Nebraska native living with a particularly shady pair of parents who get drunk and fight like clockwork. The sour dynamic gets particularly rotten when Luli's parents throw down in the middle of her birthday party.

Eddie Murphy's hosting the Oscars next year, and as happy as I am about the news, I can't say I'm at all surprised by it.

I had the chance to chat with "Tower Heist" director Brett Ratner for MTV News' Fall Movie Preview week, and the filmmaker had nothing but rave reviews for Murphy's work in the heist comedy. (You can read all of his comments in my interview here.)

While we were talking, Ratner — who is executive producer of the 84th Annual Academy Awards — teased about his future collaborations with Murphy: "'Tower Heist,' just like [my previous] movies were great preparation for me to make this movie, this is preparation for me to do something huge with Eddie."

The Oscars certainly qualify as something huge, I'd say, and based on something else that Ratner told me, it's pretty clear why he named the "Beverly Hills Cop" legend as his host.

You've seen movies about boxing. You've seen movies about robots. But have you seen movies about boxing robots? If not—and chances are good that you haven't—you can fix that sorry mistake in October when "Real Steel" sucker punches its way into theaters!

As part of MTV News' Fall Movie Preview week, we've got an exclusive photo from "Real Steel" for your viewing pleasure today. I also had the chance to chat with director Shawn Levy about the project, which marks a dramatic departure for the filmmaker in more ways than one.

"Comedy has been really good to me, but this was a deliberate departure," he told me of his reasons for shooting the robot boxing movie, which stars Hugh Jackman as a former fighter turned trainer in a world where human boxers have been replaced by cybernetic ones.

VampsOnce upon a time, "Clueless" ranked at the top of my list of all-time favorite guilty pleasure movies. Not anymore, though — these days, I feel zero guilt in my love for Cher's hilarious misadventures wading through the high school drama of Beverly Hills. (In other words: no, Dan Hedaya, I will not get out of your chair.)

So, it's safe to say that I'm pretty excited to see the reunion between "Clueless" star Alicia Silverstone and director Amy Heckerling in "Vamps," a supernatural romantic comedy promising that "nice girls suck." An added bonus: Sigourney Weaver is in it! Cher meets Ripley! You can't go wrong!

Our friends at Hollywood Crush have an exclusive first look at the official "Vamps" movie poster. Go check it out and let us know what you think in the comments and on Twitter!

The HelpFROM MTV MOVIES: Word of mouth about a movie based on the written word proved powerful yet again as "The Help" clung to the #1 spot at the box office for the third consecutive weekend. The four-day Labor Day weekend is traditionally slow for movie theaters, and while this one was no exception, the ensemble picture based on Kathryn Stockett's debut novel took in another $19 million, according to estimates.

"The Help" debuted at #2 (behind "Rise of the Planet of the Apes") a month ago but has topped the box office each week since. With a $123.4 million domestic gross against its modest $25 million budget, "The Help" movie is a smash just like the novel. The last movie to hold onto the #1 spot for three consecutive weekends was filmmaker Christopher Nolan's acclaimed mind bender "Inception."

One of the ensemble castmembers from "The Help," relative newcomer Jessica Chastain, turned up as part of the ensemble in the weekend's #2 movie as well. "The Debt" is a remake of a 2007 Israeli film called "Ha-Hov" and features Chastain in flashbacks as a character played by Helen Mirren.

The Hunger GamesEarlier this month, Steven Soderbergh showed up on the set of “The Hunger Games,” and a few crewmember tweets later, the Internet was flooded with wild, rampant speculation – an unusual departure from the web’s characteristic restraint. Now, the director has opened up about what exactly he was doing on the set of the heavily anticipated new film.

During an interview to promote the director’s new “Contagion,” Moviefone got down to brass tacks and asked the director what was going on, and how he came to be working on “The Hunger Games.”

“The story is really simple,” Soderbergh explained. “Back in April, [director] Gary [Ross] -- who is a close friend of mine I've exchanged creative favors with non-stop over the last 15 years -- when he got the boards for the shoot in April called me and said, ‘Hey, first week of August, I got these two days of second unit. Is there any way you can come down and help me out? Because I'd rather have you do it than hire somebody who I don't know.’”

After a series of extremely well-received screenings and the build-up of buzz from premieres at Cannes and the Los Angeles Film Festival, "Drive" is turning out to be one of the most hotly anticipated movies of awards season. It comes from "Bronson" director Nicolas Winding Refn and stars Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan and Ron Perlman, and has all the makings of Oscar gold.

MTV News has an exclusive clip from the upcoming movie that shows a tense but tender scene between Gosling and Mulligan. There's no dialogue in the clip, and that's because there doesn't need to be. Gosling's character Driver notices that the man next to him is holding a gun, and instead of creating a confrontation with him, he moves Mulligan's Irene safely behind him and shares a passionate kiss with her.

It doesn't give away much, but the clip certainly is a tease for the violent drama.
