Guillermo del Toro is really, really, really excited to make his "Haunted Mansion" film.

MTV News first heard about the project from the "Pacific Rim" director at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, and he hasn't stopped gushing about it since. When del Toro stopped by the MTV offices last week, he was happy to let us know that he is knee-deep in the production for the flick.

"We're on the second draft of the screenplay," he said. "We have a huge show-and-tell series of boards. We have about 40 pieces of art."

Mark October 13 on your calendars and then start saving your pennies, "Harry Potter" fans, because Warner Bros has announced that tickets to "Warner Bros. Studio Tour London — The Making of Harry Potter" will go on sale that day.

Stars Evanna Lynch and Warwick Davis made the announcement Tuesday at the Empire Big Screen Event in London. Though the tour still doesn't have an official opening date -- Warner has only given the very vague Spring 2012 period -- I'm placing my bets that pre-order tickets sell out within 24 hours.

Above is a rendering of what the exterior of the studio will look like upon completion. It certainly looks a bit Disney-fied and not very similar to the Leavesden we know and love, but that is kind of the point.

FROM MTV MOVIES: We've seen snippets of the cinematic world of Panem — Jennifer Lawrence as blood-spattered, arrow-wielding Katniss crouching in the woods, Josh Hutcherson as her battle-worn fellow combatant Peeta lying in a clearing. What we haven't yet checked out from "Hunger Games" — and why would we, with no trailer yet released and the film not hitting theaters until March 2012? — is anything to do with the score, an all-star collaboration between T-Bone Burnett and Danny Elfman.

But that musical omission will be changing soon, as Burnett not only told MTV News that filmmakers will be releasing "Hunger Games" tuneage soon, but that one track will feature Lawrence herself.

"Yeah, we did," Burnett said when we asked if Lawrence had recorded anything in the studio. "And it was beautiful. She did great. She's singing great. Killer actor too."

Susan Hill’s thriller novel, “The Woman in Black,” has already spawned one adaptation, the 1989 television movie of the same name. While creepy, that version had a distinct lack of Daniel Radcliffe. Fortunately, that problem will be effectively remedied when a new adaptation of the book hits theaters in February 2012.

Though it is based on the original novel, the movie is said to veer away from the book’s plot in numerous ways, as Radcliffe’s character, the lawyer Arthur Kipps, visits a small English town to deal with the estate of the deceased Alice Drablow. As you, an intuitive filmgoer, would probably imagine, things get dark and weird pretty damn quickly.

The new trailer, seen in the video above, captures that creeping sense of menace remarkably effectively, as it includes every single one of the top five creepiest things ever. Join us past the jump to see if you spotted them all!

Texting has become more than a fad for some tweens and teens; it's become a lifestyle. MTV's new documentary "Thumbs" goes below the surface on the trend to try to crack into the secret world of texting.

The movie follows a group of six teens who entered LG's U.S. National Texting Championship to try to earn the title of fastest texter in the United States, and a whopping $50,000 prize. Academy Award-winning director Bill Couturié was intrigued by the texting phenomenon and, after being approached by producer Michael Tollin, decided to create the first documentary showcasing the trend. MTV News got on the phone with Couturié to find out more about the film and what he learned about texting in the process.

There was a time where the plot for Tarsem Singh's latest flick "Immortals" was under wraps, but that time is no more. The latest trailer for the stylized retelling of Greek mythology lays the story out clearly for the ill-informed.

No question that this is the longest "Immortals" teaser to date, clocking in at two and a half minutes in length. The narrator sets the stage for the battle between humans and the Greek gods: once there was a war in heaven, and the victors called themselves gods and named the losers as titans. Now evil King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) is trying to release the titans and defeat the gods, and it's up to mortal Theseus (Henry Cavill) to stop him.

FROM SPLASH PAGE: Christian Bale's incarnation of Batman had hardly been confined to the gritty streets of Gotham City in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight." His Caped Crusader perched high atop skyscrapers, spun aerial pirouettes through the night sky with a pair of retractable wings, and plucked a corrupt businessman into the air thanks to some nifty black-ops technology and a white cargo plane.

But never before has Bale's hero had his very own aircraft, a super-slick Batwing perhaps to park in the Batcave next to his Batpod, which resides within his Batmobile. That's about to change, as photos from the Pittsburgh set of "The Dark Knight Rises" make clear. Director Christopher Nolan has given the craft an entirely new spin, updating what was once an undeniably hokey comic-book creation into the latest, greatest way for Batman to shoot through the air and bust bad-guy butt. Here's a look at the aircraft's evolution.
