"The Hunger Games" teaser at the VMAs was more than just a passing glimpse at the upcoming film: it was a taste of things to come. Director Gary Ross caught up with Hollywood Crush over Skype and said that the movie, like the book, is going to be very much from the perspective of its main character, Katniss Everdeen.
"That's one of the fun things about it. There are times when you're viscerally inside [Jennifer Lawrence's] shoes, and that's the main experience," he said. "And there are other times when you're witnessing her the way they're witnessing her in the Game—and she's constantly being watched, which is one of the things that makes the book so compelling. But it's mainly an intense first-person experience, inside Katniss' shoes."

The summer is winding to an end. People are planning their last beach trips and holding their final barbecues. And yet winter is still coming.
While we're busy enjoying the last of the nice weather (in the northeast, at least), the cast and crew of "Game of Thrones" are hard at work in Belfast, Malta, Iceland and Croatia. Fortunately showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff aren't too busy and managed to take some time out to chat with The Daily Beast to tease what is to come over the next few seasons.
Everything from the new additions to the series to sexposition was covered, and there were several spot-on uses of "Hodor" to boot. Read on after the jump to see our breakdown of the most important points in the interview.

Olivia Munn is the latest leading lady to join the cast of Steven Soderbergh's "Magic Mike."
The testosterone-heavy cast tells the story of a veteran exotic dancer (Channing Tatum) and his protégé (Alex Pettyfer). Deadline has the news that Munn will play Amber, the love interest of Tatum's Magic Mike. The cast also includes Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manianello, Matthew Bomber, Cody Horn and Riley Keough. "Magic Mike" is based on some of Tatum's real-life experiences as a male stripper.

It doesn’t take a lot of provocation to get sci-fi geeks griping (believe me, I’ve done my share). And perhaps the one subject that has prompted the most passionate protest over the past few decades is George Lucas messing with Star Wars.
The current cause for concern is the rumored changes to the original trilogy for the "Star Wars" Blu-ray debut, scheduled for release on September 16. Specifically, it’s the supposed addition of Darth Vader crying “Nooooooo!” as his son, Luke Skywalker, is electrocuted by his boss, Emperor Palpatine, that’s got fans complaining once again.
After watching this “new-and-improved” scene a couple of times, I have strong suspicions regarding its legitimacy. But if this change has indeed been made by Lucas, I have no choice but to join the rebellion and exclaim - if only in my brain – WTF?

There's a reason we've never gone back to the moon, and one unfortunate Russian cosmonaut seems to have discovered it in MTV News' exclusive clip from "Apollo 18."
Based on the fact that the "Apollo 18" trailer involves finding a dead Russian cosmonaut, we're assuming things don't go so well for the guy in our clip. In fact, it seems pretty likely that the footage shown in that clip is from the camera in his helmet. It doesn't tell us more than we already know, but fortunately we've compiled a list of facts that we do know about the "last" mission to the Moon to try to add some more context to the clip.
Could there be more fact than fiction in "Apollo 18"? Or is it all one big conspiracy? Read on after the jump to find out.

FROM NEXTMOVIE: Sam Worthington was plucked from obscurity (he says he was living in his car) when he landed his first American film role – that of a paraplegic marine in James Cameron's groundbreaking 3-D epic, "Avatar."
The 35-year-old Aussie has also played an empathic cyborg in "Terminator Salvation" and wore a mini-skirt (okay, a tunic) to play Perseus, the mortal son of Zeus, in the mythical money-maker "Clash of the Titans."
Now that he's gotten plenty of action, Worthington's about to reveal his dramatic chops in "The Debt," a thriller about a Mossad capture of a Nazi war criminal, also starring Jessica Chastain, Helen Mirren and Tom Wilkinson.
We talked with the Debtor about more "Avatar" movies (possibly even 10), more "Titans," and his new "Zach Galifianakis" look.

Between her starring turns in "Avatar" and "Columbiana," Zoe Saldana is finally on the cusp of total "Dominion."
Saldana is set for the lead role in "Dominion," a supernatural thriller in which she'll play a half-human, half-angel hybrid, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, set up at Paramount, is based on a pitch from writers Dean McReary and Chester Hastings. Saldana will also produce the project.

With the summer movie season winding down, it's time to start looking back and assessing the good and not-so-good of the summer '11 season. One of the definitive highlights from this year's crop is Woody Allen's "Midnight In Paris." The ensemble sleeper hit, which has now crossed the $50 million mark, is Allen's most successful box office grosser ever.
For those of you who haven't yet experienced the pleasant surprise that is "Paris," and the many A-list and up-and-coming actors who appear in it, here are a few reasons why you should, courtesy of scene-stealer Corey Stoll, who plays Ernest Hemingway.
"It's one of those movies from the opening credits to the end, you're just smiling. You're sitting there smiling," Stoll told MTV News of the film's appeal. "There are some big laughs, but it's not a rolling in the aisles comedy. It's just pleasant, it's like a 90-minute trip to Paris and you want it to be longer."

Gary Ross gets that you're excited for "The Hunger Games." That's why he took some time off from filming to chat with us at MTV News about the questions you most want to have answered about the currently filming movie.
What are the scenes that Ross is most excited to film? How much training did Jennifer Lawrence do to play Katniss? Will Ross please dish on how they're portraying the Girl on Fire scene? And how big a part of the film is T Bone Burnett and Danny Elfman's score going to be? He answered all most of these in the above video, and we broke down his responses after the jump.

George Clooney would probably make for one kick-ass uncle, but sadly, he will no longer be the man from "U.N.C.L.E."
The Oscar winning actor has long been attached to Steven Soderbergh's adaptation of the 1960s spy drama, but Deadline reports that Clooney is now walking away from the project. It's unclear exactly why he's stepping aside, especially given the frequency with which Clooney and Soderbergh have teamed up in the past, but regardless of the reasons, Soderbergh is now left looking for a new "U.N.C.L.E." … or is he?
