G.I. Joe 2And the casting for "G.I. Joe 2" carries on.

The latest actor to join Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki and Ray Stevenson is "Jurassic Park" lead Joe Mazzello. He will be playing Mouse, a role that Deadline is reporting was a hot part that many young Hollywood actors were vying for. We're psyched to see Mazzello, who's come a long way since being terrorized by T-Rexes, land the gig!

In the casting news after the jump, "Dark Shadows" cameos abound in Tim Burton's feature and an "Arrested" actor has saved "We Are The Millers."

One of the dreamquels that we never get sick of asking about is James Cameron's long rumored follow-up to "True Lies," and fortunately leading lady Eliza Dushku is always game to play ball when it comes to the subject.

MTV News caught up with the "Batman: Year One" star at San Diego Comic-Con during our livestream of the event, and fielded her a Twitter question saying a fan would love to see her "kick some butt" in "True Lies 2." Her response? "I think so too!" But there has been a bit of a hold-up from another one of the movie's stars.

"I think there's been a little a little snafu with the star. With the Schwarzenegger. It might be a minute," she said with a laugh.

We know that Wednesday can sometimes be a slow crawl to the weekend, so we here at MTV Movies Blog are here to help you get through your hump-day with an exclusive clip from the upcoming dark comedy "The Guard."

"The Guard" tells the story of an unorthodox Irish policeman (played by Brendan Gleeson), who is teamed up with a straight-laced FBI agent (Don Cheadle, "Crash" and "Iron Man 2") to investigate an international cocaine-smuggling gang. If you're a Potter-Head, you'll recognize Gleeson from the "Harry Potter" series as Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody in "Goblet of Fire," "Order of the Phoenix" and the more recent "Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

So what exactly happens when you mix a confrontational cop, a quirky young boy, a dog, and a large bag of guns? A history lesson, apparently. Take a look at the exclusive clip below!

"The Guard" is written and directed by John Michael McDonagh and hits theaters on July 29. Tell us what you think of the clip in the comments section and on Twitter!

Big news, guys: Peter Berg just sunk your "Battleship."

The trailer for the "Hancock" director's latest big-budget action spectacle, this time based on the classic strategy board game everyone knows and loves, has just opened fire on the web. First premiering at Yahoo, the "Battleship" trailer delivers more carnage and chaos than one might expect from the relatively spectacle free board game — but hey, it's Hollywood. Explosions are par for the course!

Emma StoneEmma Stone just barely missed out on the police hijinks of "21 Jump Street," but she isn't done playing with cops just yet.

The "Amazing Spider-Man" and "Easy A" actress is in negotiations to join the cast of "Gangster Squad," the 1940s cop drama chronicling the Los Angeles Police Department's war on famed mobster Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) and his fellow criminals.

If her deal goes through, Stone would play Jean, described by Variety as "a sharp-tongued siren caught in a love triangle" between the drug-dealing Cohen and a squad member played by Ryan Gosling.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” debuted with mixed reviews in 2009, but the brand is seemingly still strong enough to support a burgeoning live action movie franchise, as plans continue to move ahead with a sequel, "G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes," rumored for a 2012 release.

While many actors, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, will not be returning for the as-yet-untitled sequel, Channing Tatum will be reprising his role as protagonist Duke. In addition to other returning stars Lee Byung-hun and Ray Park, the new movie will feature Stephen Martines rumored to play Cross-Country, Elodie Yung as the ninja Jinx, D.J. Cotrona as fan-favorite Flint, RZA as the Blind Master, Adrianne Palicki as Lady Jaye and Ray Stevenson as bad guy Firefly.

But the costar that Tatum appears most excited about? That would be none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who's been tapped to play Roadblock.

The Bourne LegacyYou've heard by now that "The Bourne Legacy" will veer away from the spy franchise's original trilogy while still maintaining the continuity of those films, even without Matt Damon on board. But how exactly will the spinoff connect with the original? We're glad you asked!

Showblitz reveals that "Bourne" veterans Joan Allen and Albert Finney are both set to reprise their roles from the original set of movies in the latest thriller, directed by longtime "Bourne" scribe Tony Gilroy.

They're joining an amazingly accomplished cast that already includes Jeremy Renner in the lead role, Oscar Isaac as an assassin named Number Three, Edward Norton tentatively playing a villain, and Rachel Weisz pulling her weight in an unknown capacity.

There is still a lot of time to wait until we'll see Len Wiseman's re-imagining of "Total Recall," but I have to admit that based on a recent Comic-Con chat with Wiseman himself, I am much more enthused about his take on the Schwarzenegger-starring Paul Verhoeven-directed cult classic than I was when I heard about the Jessica Biel casting. Here's why:

"One of the reasons I chose to do this film is I think there really is a different look into that kind of character, and the personal struggle that that guy is going through," Wiseman explained of deciding to tackle a reboot of the much-loved original.

FROM MTV MOVIES: Taylor Lautner may be gunning to be Hollywood's next big action star, but that doesn't mean he isn't itching for a good comedy as well.

The "Twilight Saga" star recently got some laughs with a Funny or Die sketch called "Field of Dreams 2: NFL Lockout" and he has appeared in a series of silly skits to promote the MTV Movie Awards in the past two years. At San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, MTV News caught up with the actor, who told us he would "definitely" love to star in a comedy in the future.

"I've always loved comedies," he said. "I did 'SNL,' and then I did the thing with Tom [Cruise] for the MTV Movie Awards, and then most recently I did the thing with Jason Sudeikis, which was a lot of fun," he said of a promo skit with the 2011 awards-show host.
