All things considered with the lively contests that went down during our heated Harry Potter World Cup, it's been bloody good fun. Particularly the most unexpected victories and defeats of J.K. Rowling's most beloved characters. Neville Longbottom is a great example and although his fans put up a great fight, Longbottom eventually fell to the titular boy wizard.

Throughout the tourney the man behind the humble and courageous Griffindor, actor Matthew Lewis, has been gracious enough to indulge us here at MTV News and do a little campaigning for his character, followed by some insightful Potter World Cup bracket analysis. Now today, thanks to another chat with Lewis during the "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" press day, we had him weigh in on Longbottom's tournament run and being ousted by Harry himself.

"If we had to go, [losing to] Potter, I can understand that and accept that," Lewis said humbly, adding that he was just honored to be a part of things and especially grateful to his fans for their support.

The HobbitThese last few days have been full of awesome for fans of Peter Jackson's big screen adaptation of "The Hobbit." Hot on the heels of two sets of newly released photos is a second, action-packed video production blog Jackson has posted on his Facebook page. Well, it's not exactly action-packed, in the traditional sense of the phrase, but it's heavy on the ins and outs of the filmmaking process and full of enough fanboy goodness to obsess over for months, or until Jackson releases his next blog.

Click here to take a walk through Jackson's magical world, which, in typical Jackson form, is much more like a mini movie, complete with a sweeping score and fancy video effects vs. just a production blog.

Sherlock HolmesIf you need something else to take your mind off the blistering summer heat, take a gander at the two new posters released for "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," both of which have a coolness about them that has us overly excited for the sequel's release on December 16.

The first one, which debuted over at Yahoo, features Robert Downey Jr. as the titular Sherlock Holmes as he looks straight into the camera, with a half smirk/half serious expression on his perfectly stubbled face. He also has his arms crossed, with a gun pointing over his shoulder where we see a slightly blurry, yet dapper figure in the background who we can safely assume to be Jared Harris as Professor Moriarty.

Check it out past the jump!

The Harry Potter World Cup has been raging on for the better part of a month now, and after 64 wizards and witches stepped into the ring, we've finally whittled down the playing field to two: Severus Snape versus Ron Weasley. It. Is. On!

Voting ends later today, and with percentages closed from public view, it's truly anybody's game at this point. But some of the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" cast members couldn't resist placing their bets on who's going to win the World Cup — including Tom Felton, better known as Draco Malfoy. The two-time MTV Movie Award-winning Best Villain was knocked out of the competition in the Elite Eight, but he's still keeping an eye on who's going to take the top prize home.

Unsurprisingly, Tom is sticking with his Slytherin roots. "Snape," he declared without hesitation. "He's gonna take the crown, man."

"Everyone loves Snape. He has the greatest story of the lot, I think, where you don't know which he's going to be the whole way," he added. "He has a beautiful ending, doesn't he? I didn't expect that at all. It's so nice to see this hard character Snape turn into this soft shell of a man."

TransformersFROM MTV MOVIES: "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" fended off competition from both an R-rated comedy and a family-friendly film as the third entry in the giant robot franchise maintained the #1 position at the box office with an estimated $47 million during its second weekend in theaters.

"Transformers" passed "The Hangover II" to become the highest-grossing film of 2011 thus far with its 12-day domestic haul of $261 million and crossed the half-billion dollar mark worldwide.

"Horrible Bosses" wasn't able to dethrone Michael Bay's CGI heavy explosion-fest but it does bear the distinction of being the only film in the top five with mostly favorable reviews from critics. Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day star in the black comedy, which opened at #2 with $28.1 million.

Following yesterday's reveal of a trio of dwarves from "The Hobbit" comes a brand new photo today that showcases two more of the pint-sized heroes.

Yahoo! Movies has the first look at dwarves Oin (John Callen) and Gloin (Peter Hambleton) from the two-part "Lord of the Rings" prequel. In the news after the jump, a new Moneypenny is cast in "Bond 23," "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" gets a new director and a "Final Destination 5" trailer hits the web.
