Evil DeadIt's shaping up to be quite a week for both trailers and horror movie news. Focusing on the latter first, rumors centering on an "Evil Dead" remake have been building to a fever pitch all week long, and now, we've got some concrete news.

Deadline reports that, yes, Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are indeed remaking "Evil Dead"again — with Fede Alvarez directing and, get this, "Juno" writer Diablo Cody doing revisions on the latest draft. Pretty cool team! Still no word on whether or not Campbell is playing Ash again, though we all know there's only one king we hail to, baby. We'll keep you posted on the remake as more news comes in.

"Harry Potter" fans around the world owe producer David Heyman a whole lot of thanks. He is the man who literally found Harry Potter when he petitioned Daniel Radcliffe to play the Boy Who Lived more than a decade ago. He is the man who convinced J.K. Rowling that she should trust Warner Bros to adapt her bestselling novels for the big screen. He is the man who acted as a father figure to the young stars of the series and help keep them from, for lack of a better term, Lohan-ing out.

But when MTV News caught up with Heyman last night at the NYC premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," he placed the majority of the credit for the movies being successful onto the shoulders of its four directors.

Alexander SkarsgardIt's the swoon heard 'round the world: Alexander Skarsgard will be again playing a Viking, but this time on the big screen.

The "True Blood" stud first donned the horned helm during the third season of the HBO show when his character's Norse roots were shown in a flashback sequence, but now Skarsgard has been tapped by Warner Bros to play a Viking in their upcoming flick "The Vanguard." Variety managed to learn that he will be one of two Viking brothers exiled to America and then begin a quest to make it back to Sweden.

It's probably too early to declare "John Carter," formerly known as "John Carter of Mars," as the best movie of 2012. Okay, it's definitely too early. But I don't think it's premature to say that the "John Carter" trailer is the best trailer I've seen in 2011 thus far.

Walt Disney Studios have released the very first trailer for the Taylor Kitsch-starring science fiction odyssey over at Apple, and honestly? Perfection. It's got high concept sci-fi architecture, awe-inspiring visuals, a score that's both haunting and mesmerizing, compelling performances... note for note, beat for beat, the "Carter" trailer delivers it all.

It's fitting that Severus Snape won MTV's Harry Potter World Cup on Monday, because from where we're standing, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" is as much his story as it is Harry and Voldemort's.

We got our hands on a brand new featurette that underlines Snape's tale over the course of the films as they wind to a close, and we'd be lying if we said it isn't one of the aspects of "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" we most look forward to. The conclusion of the Prince's tale -- is he good or is he evil?! -- is, as producer David Heyman says, more complicated than we could have guessed.

World, meet Bofur, Bombur and Bifur, the latest three "The Hobbit" dwarves to be revealed on the world wide web.

The seventh, eighth and ninth members of Thorin Oakenshield's party to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug are the only three who hail from western Middle-Earth, IGN points out. It makes sense, then, that these three are the most "dwarfy" of the company that we've seen. But hey, who can judge them for their handlebar mustaches and pot bellies, they only came because the beer was free!

Though his negotiations are still ongoing, RZA is already very excited to be a part of "G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes."

MTV News caught up with the hip hop producer recently to chat with him about his part in the film, and he seemed extremely enthusiastic about the project. "It's a great offer, a great producer," RZA said. "I like John Chu, he's directing it. We had a fun time talking about the character. It's a very strong cast. I want to do that. I think it will be a lot of fun, and I love having fun."
