So, I just saw "Rango" for the first time this week, and I have to say — favorite Johnny Depp performance ever? Maybe not quite that far, but pretty darn close. Depp provides the voice (and got physically in character) for the central chameleon in Gore Verbinski's animated debut, and it ruins nothing to say that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" pair's familiar dynamic positively makes this movie. Without Depp and Verbinski on board, there is no "Rango."

That said, the two aren't alone in crafting one of the most memorable animated movies of the year: there's a colorful cast of characters backing them up, as you'll see in our exclusive clip from the flick.

"Rango" is out on Blu-ray and DVD today (July 15, 2011).

We predicted it yesterday, and now they're here: dwarf brothers Balin and Dwalin have arrived.

Time got the exclusive on the second-to-last "The Hobbit" character reveal for the film's 13 dwarves, and brings us one day closer to the long-anticipated reveal of Thorin Oakenshield. Appropriately, Balin and Dwalin are close relatives of Thorin, and are his most trusted friends.

With "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" making its final bow with today's big screen release, fans are surely finding themselves clamoring for more Potter. Sure, Pottermore is in the works. And sure, J.K. Rowling is inevitably writing, well, something. But even still, the fans no doubt want more "Potter," on the written page or on the screen.

So, powers that be, if you're thinking about giving us more "Potter," here's my list of five possible — and definitely not so possible — spinoffs for the series.

With "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" opening in theaters today, the world is now Daniel Radcliffe's oyster.

He's got a months-long commitment to "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" ahead of him and also the thriller "The Woman In Black" in the works, which is showing that Radcliffe is not one to take the easy route of fame. Radcliffe plays a grieving father in "The Woman In Black," a far cry from the orphan Harry we grew up with, and he says that the upcoming horror film will be a very different film for him than his fans are used to.

"I guess I am attracted to dark tales," Radcliffe explained. "There's something much more interesting about them."

Note: The following interview, as well as the video below, contains spoilers about the events of "Haven" season one. If you're looking to remain in the dark, here's a cat eating a piano.

Fans of creepy towns in New England full of cooky inhabitants and supernatural goings-on know the best man for the job is Stephen King. He's been doing this sort of thing for decades, you see. One of his latest novels on the subject matter, 2005's "The Colorado Kid," was picked up by Syfy and turned into "Haven," a full TV series based on the creepy, titular town. The show stars Audrey Parker (Emily Rose), an FBI agent sent to Haven, ME for a routine case. But, as routine cases usually go in Stephen King projects, things get weird, fast. The show's first season aired last year and developed a cult following. On July 15, the show returns for season two. We sat down with Emily Rose to catch us up with the strange goings on up north.

Tyrion LannisterIn the end, Tyrion Lannister might win gold. Emmy gold, that is.

If you've caught any of our "Game of Thrones" coverage by now, then you know we're a bit hopelessly obsessed reasonably enamored with HBO's new fantasy series. In fact, working this week with "A Dance With Dragons," the latest installment in George R.R. Martin's epic, sitting unfinished at the edge of our desk unfinished has been a constant struggle.

Needless to say we're beyond thrilled that the show was not only nominated for an Emmy in the Best Drama category, but that Peter Dinklage earned a nod for Best Supporting Actor. He more than anyone else on that show deserves the nod at this point in time.

Make no mistake: despite whatever flaws "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" may have (and it certainly does have a few), director David Yates has brought the series home in an absolutely beautiful finale. Every actor in the franchise steps up their game, and nearly every beloved character gets their due in this movie. Really, is there anything more a viewer could ask for?

It's easy for me to say that as "a 'Harry Potter' fan," but this final installment of the epic saga is a movie that transcends that stipulation for enjoyment. Of course, if you haven't seen any of the previous "Potter" movies then "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" will probably be a bit confusing (but hey, you can always read our primers!), but even the casual enthusiast will be blown away by what proves to be an entirely satisfying conclusion to a decade-long film franchise. Check out five reasons why you need to see this movie after the jump.
