Taylor Lautner has become known to the world for his role in the “Twilight” movies, but now he’s looking to get himself involved in other successful films. Within a few months the movie “Abduction” — of which Lautner is the lead — will be hitting theaters, so MTV News went to get the scoop.
“The first time I heard the idea of the project, I knew that I wanted that to be my next movie,” Lautner said of first learning about "Abduction," a project he immediately knew he wanted to be a part of. “And then when I got the script, I couldn’t stop turning the pages.”
He was also attracted to the main character, a youth named Nathan, calling him “amazing” and saying, “I had to tell that story.”
“It’s also really emotional and it was challenging as well,” he went on. “It was definitely the right choice.”
Were there any aspects of the movie that especially excited him?
“I was super excited about all the action, of course,” he said. “But I was excited about all the romance, of course. There’s a lot of romance in it.”
Hearing that should be enough to get fangirls lined up.
“You’re trying to find out what’s gonna happen next,” he said about the film’s premise. “That’s probably the most exciting part of the story for me.”
