Harry PotterWelcome to MTV's Harry Potter World Cup! We've selected 64 of the best "Harry Potter" characters and matched them up in a series of duels for a chance at magical glory, but it's up to YOU to decide who the greatest "Potter" character of all time is in this pool of wizards and witches. Will the Death Eaters destroy Hogwarts, or will good triumph over evil? In the end, the choice is yours, so keep voting at MTV Movies Blog and make your voice heard!

The first round of the Hogsmeade division has been filled with some especially brutal choices, but we're closing out the day with one competitor I think most "Potter" fans can agree to love: Rubeus Hagrid.

The jolly half-giant and Hogwarts groundskeeper makes his much-anticipated debut in the Harry Potter World Cup today alongside an equally adored character who's very close to Harry's heart. Voting for the first round of the Hogsmeade division stays open until Sunday (June 27) at midnight, and make sure to tune in tomorrow as we start exploring the fourth and final division's first round match-ups.

(7) Lily Potter vs. (10) Horace Slughorn
Hogwarts Potions master Horace Slughorn doesn't exactly have the fighting spirit, but that's not to say that he hasn't done a great deal of damage in his time. A broken and reclusive man, Slughorn's likely a reluctant participant in the World Cup, so given his fondness for his former student Lily Evans — better known as Lily Potter, Harry's mother — it wouldn't be surprising to see him fold in this first round. Lily, barring any unexpected developments, it looks like you're about to advance one step closer to the World Cup.

(2) Rubeus Hagrid vs. (15) Gregory Goyle
He's been framed and wrongfully imprisoned, discharged and defeated, and made into the laughing stock of Slytherin students everywhere. But Hagrid suffers all these fools and devious deeds with a glad heart and a strong spirit. Though the Hogwarts mainstay isn't one to seek out a fight, he's not about to let some low-rent Draco Malfoy sidekick roll him over, either. Sorry Goyle, no Cup for you. But at least you were invited to play along!

PottermoreAfter teasing the project late last week, "Harry Potter" mastermind J.K. Rowling is finally set to announce the secrets of Pottermore in a press conference tomorrow morning. But just like "The X-Files," the truth is out there — and it looks like you don't need to dig too deep to find it.

Okay, folks — put your spoiler hats on.

USA Today directs our attention to an article from The Guardian alleging to know what Pottermore exactly is. If you want to know what Rowling's next project is a day early (and remember, none of this is confirmed yet), well, you're just (careful now!) one click away. But the official answers are just one day away. Don't you think you can wait a little bit longer?

As we're waiting to find out what's going on with Pottermore, let's turn our attention elsewhere in the movies blogosphere. After the jump, get updates on the "Avatar" sequels and see the newest "Immortals" posters!

It's not easy for anyone to just parody major summer films and have it come off as endearing, but when the Muppets poke fun at flicks like "Green Lantern" and "The Hangover Part II," it's really charming. But how did those little satires come to exist in the world?

"Well there was some discussion amongst all of us creatively involved, but I have to give a lot of credit to Disney and their marketing team," Jason Segel, who stars in the film and also wrote the screenplay for the flick which opens this November, told us at the "Bad Teacher" premiere in NYC on Monday. "They came up with those ideas and they're really brilliant. The official trailer came out and I just love it."

"Harry Potter" fans, you're at the risk of running into another franchise. A franchise not only of fantasy and the supernatural, but of romance; a vampire-filled love story that has repeatedly swept the MTV Movie Awards for three years running. That's right — you've just crossed over into the "Twilight" zone.

Cedric Diggory, the late Hogwarts student who competed nobly and died tragically during the Triwizard Tournament, has entered the Harry Potter World Cup. Perhaps more importantly, however, is the fact that Robert Pattinson has stepped into the arena. Next to him, fan-favorite witch Luna Lovegood has also kicked off her first round match-up in the Hogsmeade division, which wraps up on Sunday (June 27) at midnight.

(6) Luna Lovegood vs. (11) Narcissa Malfoy
The pure-blooded Malfoy matriarch isn't quite as evil as they come — when it comes down to honoring the Dark Lord or protecting her son Draco, her path is plainly clear — but that doesn't mean Narcissa isn't a force to be reckoned with. But her first duel against the lovable Luna Lovegood could prove to be her last; the young Ravenclaw witch has more than enough wits and charm to outsmart her competitor, not to mention a score to settle after having been held prisoner in Malfoy Manor during "Deathly Hallows Part 1."

(3) Cedric Diggory vs. (14) Olympe Maxime
Let's not beat around the bush: if Cedric Diggory advances deep into the Hogsmeade division, is it because of his merits as a character or his alter-ego's superstar status? No doubt that his death in "Goblet of Fire" was a profoundly powerful moment that irreversibly changed the course of the "Potter" story, but is that where he'll get his support, or will voters sink their teeth into Cedric for "other reasons"? And as far as Madame Maxime is concerned, is the Beauxbatons giant tall enough to stand up against the height of the "Twilight" crowd? The outcome of this match-up could be very telling for the rest of the World Cup — with enough momentum on his side, Cedric could become the most unstoppable force in the entire tournament.

Acting, writing, directing, producing… and now Tom Hanks can officially add dancing to his list of talents. Hanks was on Univision's Spanish-language morning show Despierta America to promote "Larry Crowne," the story of a middle aged man who loses his job and decides to head back to college where he meets and falls for a teacher played by Julia Roberts. During a weather segment, the Spanish-challenged Hanks handled his language difficulties in the best way possible: with a dance routine.

The Oscar winner gave it his all (though he appears to be a bit winded at the end of his performance), and if he put half as much energy into "Larry Crowne," it's sure to be a great time at the movies. The flick hits theaters on July 1, 2011.

The apes might not be rising for another month and a half, but today we have a new trailer and a whole slew of new photos for you from the upcoming summer blockbuster.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" has already proved to have beyond stellar CGI in the trailers that have been released, but these new images of Caesar (voiced by Andy Serkis) show the depth of detail that actually went into creating these computer-generated apes. Caesar looks genuinely real, and the still of him bonding with the ailing Charles (played by John Lithgow) looks really, really beautiful.

TransformersMTV Movies Managing Editor Josh Horowitz is currently traveling in Moscow, but this isn't any ordinary excursion—it's more than meets the eye, as he braves cultural confusion and borscht by the bowlful in an effort to cover the world premiere of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" in Russia. These are his stories.

Red Square isn't really all that red. And don't come to Moscow with your own money. These and other revelations will be unleashed in the forthcoming memoir of my junket adventures. Soon to be at the bottom of a remainder book bin near you.

It's Wednesday in Moscow and I'm writing to you from a hallway. Not that I'm complaining... I mean, it's a Russian hallway. But this is what a junket is at the end of the day. Lots of waiting interrupted by short bursts of activity. Currently my biggest concern is my stomach growling during one of my next interviews (this did happen once when I chatted with Vera Farmiga -- neither of us acknowledged it). Anyway, right now I'm in one of those junket lulls, so it's as good a time as any to bring you up to speed on my Russian misadventures.

Yesterday I did a little bit of sightseeing in famed Red Square (just down the street from the hotel). Here's what I learned...

Remember what I said about Peter Pettigrew and fair fights? Well, the latest match-up in the Hogsmeade division of the Harry Potter World Cup is an unfair fight of a different color… a bright and freckle-faced shade of red, to be precise.

With so many Weasleys competing in the tournament, some family in-fighting was destined to happen. But this early on? And a duel between father and son, of all things? That's just downright cruel! Nevertheless, it's a Weasley field day in these next two first-round match-ups, both of which come to a close on Sunday (June 27) at midnight.

(5) Arthur Weasley vs. (12) Percy Weasley
The Weasleys have always been a tight-knit group, but former Gryffindor prefect and current Ministry of Magic rising star Percy's unwillingness to side with Arthur and his family during Lord Voldemort's rise to power almost cost him his seat at their table. Though the stubborn Percy and the muggle-curious Arthur ultimately made amends, you better believe that the Weasley patriarch is at least somewhat looking forward to giving his estranged son a first-round spanking. Can Percy dodge his father's wrath through his high-placed political connections, or is he about to learn a very painful lesson about family loyalty?

(4) Fred Weasley vs. (13) Professor Sprout
His first round match-up isn't quite as glorious as his prankster twin George's, but Fred's still going to have some fun putting this Hogwarts faculty member through the wringer. But Fred needs to be cautious when approaching Hufflepuff's Head of House and Herbology master. Considering that she's gone toe to toe with the Womping Willow and lived to tell the tale, the Weasley twin would be wise to recognize that Sprout's skills are no laughing matter.

Love is a drug, and it's one we're getting addicted to in this exclusive clip from "Sucker Punch," which arrives on Blu-ray and DVD next Tuesday (June 28).

MTV News has an exclusive first look at the dance sequence within Zack Snyder's latest. The sexy scene shows a whole lot of seductive dancing between Blue (Oscar Isaac) and Vera (Carla Gugino) to the tune of "Love Is The Drug." Cut into that cabaret-like sequence are shots of Rocket (Jena Malone), Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish), Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens) and Amber (Jamie Chung) strutting their stuff on the stage while Baby Doll (Emily Browning) hangs in the background.
