The apes might not be rising for another month and a half, but today we have a new trailer and a whole slew of new photos for you from the upcoming summer blockbuster.
"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" has already proved to have beyond stellar CGI in the trailers that have been released, but these new images of Caesar (voiced by Andy Serkis) show the depth of detail that actually went into creating these computer-generated apes. Caesar looks genuinely real, and the still of him bonding with the ailing Charles (played by John Lithgow) looks really, really beautiful.

It's a bit ironic that Tom Felton, one of the most lovable actors on the planet, always ends up playing the onscreen jerks in films, but expect that to be the case in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" as well. Here he plays Dodge, a man with a bad attitude who runs the ape sanctuary that Caesar is sent to. As we saw in the most recent trailer for this flick, he most likely is the trigger for Caesar's uprising. Shame on you, Draco.
We also get a great look at Rocket, another alpha male in Dodge's sanctuary who is a rival for Caesar. There's probably a love interest involved in this mess somewhere, most likely in the form of Cornelia, who we see forming an "unexpected bond" with Caesar in another of these new stills.
But you know what they say about pictures -- they're worth a thousand words -- so moving pictures are worth at least ten times that amount. Check out a new trailer for "Rise" below, as premiered by The Sun.
