What in the world could J.K. Rowling's Pottermore possibly be?! We'll have to wait five more days to find out for sure, but for now, some new clues have emerged -- and it looks like some of our hunches hold some weight.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the Pottermore trademark was registered by Warner Bros. two years ago as a service that provides "multiple-user access to a global computer information network, [...] on-line chat rooms and electronic bulletin boards for transmission of messages among users in the field of general interest [and] on-line facilities for real-time interaction with other computer users concerning topics of general interest." So, it sounds like it is an interactive social networking experience, perhaps one that does include new stories and an MMORPG of sorts. Nothing definitive yet, sadly, but we're closer to cracking the code!
Alright, enough Pottermore (for now, not forever). Let's take a look at what else is popping around the movies blogosphere after the jump!
Jurassic Park Might Open Its Doors Again
"Jurassic Park 3" might have been a critical failure, but that isn't stopping director Steven Spielberg from considering rebooting the saga for a fourth installment. The Hollywood Reporter stresses that the idea hasn't gotten any farther than seed form yet, and that no one has been hired to write a script or anything, but screenwriter Mark Protosevich has been having meetings with Spielberg to discuss ideas for a potential fourth film. Only time will tell on this one.
"Percy Jackson" Gets A New Director
Good news for fans of the "Percy Jackson & The Olympians" series: "The Sea of Monsters" is close to landing itself a director. Though the sequel to "The Lightning Thief" hasn't been greenlit yet and Logan Lerman hasn't officially come on board, Fox is looking towards "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" director Thor Freudenthal to direct the project, Variety reports. There is no timeline set for the sequel yet, though.
Jason Reitman Becomes Script Doctor
Steve Carrell's newest comedy, "Burt Wonderstone," has a helpful new friend in its corner: Jason Reitman. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reitman will be working with the script of the upcoming movie for New Line, though it is unclear whether it will be to rewrite it entirely or just polish it up. This is the first time Reitman has worked on a project but not directed it, so it will be interesting to see how much of a stamp he leaves on the film.
"Conan The Barbarian" Red Band Trailer
If you weren't getting enough Jason Momoa weekly with "Game of Thrones," a new red band trailer for "Conan" has hit the web. Filled with plenty of blood, sex and gore to keep you appeased, the flick proves that it is definitely a late summer blockbuster to be reckoned with.
