The Harry Potter World Cup's second round has been filled with some seriously intense match-ups so far, with one of the fiercest duels coming down between Minerva McGonagall and Neville Longbottom. The Hogwarts teacher and her Gryffindor student have battled back and forth between first and second place for the better part of a week now, and there's still no clear winner in sight.

Well, perhaps some words of encouragement from actor Matthew Lewis, who's played Neville throughout the entire big-screen "Harry Potter" experience, will tip the scales in his favor. We spoke with the 22-year-old actor earlier today about how his character's holding up in the World Cup thus far, and when he learned about Neville's current struggle, he was determined to plead his case to you guys, the voters.

So, why should you vote for Neville? According to the man himself: "Well, quite clearly, he's the best character, obviously!"

All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again in the epic showdown between He Who Must Not Be Named and Harry's father James Potter, who once again find themselves dueling not just for their lives, but for eternal glory in the Harry Potter World Cup. It's the final match of the Diagon Alley division's second round, and it's sure to be one for the books.

Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Friday, July 1 at 12:01 AM EST, which is only a few hours away — you're running out of time to vote, so get to those polls now! You can follow all of the duels right here.

(2) Lord Voldemort vs. (7) James Potter
The Dark Lord killed him before, so why shouldn't he be able to do it again? How about the fact that this time, the murder of James Potter wouldn't come down to skill and surprise alone, but also fan support, and I'm not certain he has it in this match. If enough people rally behind the resurrected James, the Potter clan could rewrite history and finish Voldemort off here and now. They say the only thing Tom Riddle fears is death; if I were Tom Riddle, I'd be afraid right now.

Brad PittToday's casting call begins with the curious case of "Benjamin Button" star Brad Pitt and "The Fighter" director David O. Russell joining forces for a possible "Mission."

Deadline has learned that Warner Bros is trying to wrangle the two Hollywood titans into joining their upcoming flick "The Mission." The movie is based on the six-year mission planned by American and Colombian covert operatives to free 15 people being held hostage in the Colombian jungle. Brad Pitt would star, and Russell would direct the film.

In more casting news past the jump, Chris Hemsworth gets another starring flick, "American Reunion" gets a surprise cameo and Bryan Cranston breaks bad again.

Game of ThronesIt's happening. It's really happening. Even though it feels like it was only yesterday, it's here again — Comic-Con 2011 is just around the bend!

One of my absolute favorite weeks of the year is almost upon us, where the MTV News gang will be magically transported to the wonderful world of Slave Leia cosplay and big blockbuster overload — or, as it's really known, the San Diego Convention Center in California that houses all of these wonderful gems.

There's a lot to look forward to with this year's programming, even if Marvel Studios isn't bringing "The Avengers" to Hall H (boo!). Take "Game of Thrones," for instance: HBO is going to have a huge presence at Comic-Con this year and we're guaranteed to see some new casting announcements (we've got our wish list!) and, hey, perhaps even some new footage. On the movies side, I gotta put Splash Page editor Rick Marshall's hat on for a moment and say that I'm most excited to see whatever's coming out of the "Ghost Rider" panel. Crazy Nicolas Cage meets crazy "Crank" filmmakers for an action movie about a demonic motorcyclist with a flaming skull for a head? You already know how much I loved "Drive Angry," so it goes without saying that I'm beyond psyched for this one.

But that's all just my take. Hit past the jump to see what some of your other favorite writers and outlets across the movies blogosphere are looking forward to come this year's Comic-Con!

Sirius Black had no trouble defeating former Auror and onetime Minister for Magic Rufus Scrimgeour in the first round of the Harry Potter World Cup, but how will the Prisoner of Azkaban fare when facing his own kin on the playing field? We'll find out shortly, as Sirius and Tonks prepare for their duel in the Diagon Alley division's second round.

Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Friday, July 1 at 12:01 AM EST, which is only a few hours away — you're running out of time to vote, so get to those polls now! You can follow all of the duels right here.

(3) Sirius Black vs. (6) Nymphadora Tonks
Though this duel isn't quite as cruel as the ongoing battles between George and Ginny and Fred and Arthur, it's still difficult to watch cousins Sirius and Tonks contend with one another. Both are powerful magicians with strong spirits and good hearts, but only one of these two Dumbledore loyalists can advance to the Sweet 16 — and you can count on both of them to fight for that right with all of their might.

"Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" hit theaters this week, and it probably comes as no surprise that the film is filled with nods to the classic Transformers cartoon, animated movie, and comic books. Of course, if you're as much of a nerd for giant robots as I am, you'll definitely want to keep watch for every call-out you can find.

Just like I did with "Green Lantern," "Thor," and "X-Men: First Class" this year, I've collected a list of five things to look for in "Dark Of The Moon" that will add a little extra fun — and Transformers savvy — to the movie-watching experience. Oh, and don't worry: I've kept it all spoiler-free, so you can watch the video before you head to the theater.

And just in case you aren't able to watch the video, I've compiled a quick breakdown of all of the elements to keep an eye out for below. Read More...

As Molly Weasley walks away from the defeated Aragog and Bellatrix Lestrange casts the destroyed Cho Chang aside, these two witches are finally approaching one another on the battlefield in what's surely one of the most anticipated duels in the entire Harry Potter World Cup. We know how this one went down in the books, folks, but this isn't the books — this is the the Diagon Alley division of the World Cup, and anything is possible in this round.

Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Friday, July 1 at 12:01 AM EST, which is only a few hours away — you're running out of time to vote, so get to those polls now! You can follow all of the duels right here.

(4) Bellatrix Lestrange vs. (5) Molly Weasley
Certainly, Molly has motivation on her side, and that was a powerful enough tool to help her destroy Voldemort's most wicked witch once before. But Bellatrix has some new tricks up her sleeve — namely, fan support. Will the Death Eater's fans, of which there are many, come out en masse to rewrite history? Or will Molly earn her vengeance against Bellatrix for a second time?

Cobra might be on the rise, but there are at least two things the terrorist organization needs to watch out for: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and a whole host of ninjas.

Director Jon Chu's "G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes" is currently in the works, and it promises to hold a whole lot of fun for fans of The Rock and the ninja contingent of the Joe squad. MTV News caught up with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura at the New York City premiere of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" earlier this week, and he revealed that the upcoming "Joe" sequel is very much centered on the returning Snake-Eyes and newcomer Roadblock, played by Johnson.

"It's a full-on lead role," he said of Roadblock's presence in the film. "In a way, he and Snake-Eyes, their stories are really dynamic and very important."

It's the final day of the Harry Potter World Cup's second round, so there's not a moment to waste as we dive straight into the first Diagon Alley division duel of the day. Up first is Draco Malfoy, the wizard favored to win his division, against Triwizard Tournament veteran Fleur Delacour, who narrowly beat former rival Viktor Krum in the first round of the tournament.

Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Friday, July 1 at 12:01 AM EST, which is only a few hours away — you're running out of time to vote, so get to those polls now! You can follow all of the duels right here.

(1) Draco Malfoy vs. (9) Fleur Delacour
It was a no-brainer that Draco Malfoy would find his way into the second round of the Harry Potter World Cup... right? Maybe not. Not after Peeves the Poltergeist, a mischievous ghoul who only appears in the "Potter" books and not the movies, managed to steal 30% of the vote away from Draco in round one. The Slytherin student needs to dig much deeper if he's to stand a chance against Fleur, who demonstrated some serious tenacity in her duel against Viktor. There's a reason that Delacour was selected for the Triwizard Tournament, after all; perhaps her strong heart and spirit will be enough to topple Diagon Alley's first-seeded competitor.
