If the cast didn't already convince you that "Horrible Bosses" is the film for you, its first trailer might.

Comic leads are Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day, which in and of itself is a giant step in the right direction ("Arrested Development" meets "Saturday Night Live" meets "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia"), but the supporting cast includes Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Donald Sutherland, Julie Bowen and Isaiah Mustafa. As if that wasn't enough, the flick looks outright hilarious.

As soon as trailers for the new comedy "Bridesmaids" (in theaters this Friday) hit, the first thing you heard -- well, after the bouts of laughter had subsided -- was talk about how it looked like "the female version of 'The Hangover.'"

Sure, on the surface, there are similar elements (a group of oddballs get together in preparation for a wedding, Vegas is involved, things go terribly awry), but there's way more to "Bridesmaids" than meets the eye -- and don't let those previews with the Pink song fool you, this is no run-of-the-mill chick flick! Walk down the aisle with us as we compare and contrast the two gut-busting comedies.

There's a lot of pressure on Tigress, the team leader of the Furious Five in the "Kung Fu Panda" series. She's smart, she's cunning, she's much more than capable — but she's not the chosen one, despite all of the strengths she's cultivated since childhood. No, that's an honor bestowed upon an overweight bear without a clue in the world. Pretty fair, right?

Similarly, there was some pressure on superstar Angelina Jolie as she prepared to dive into the role of Tigress for the first time. We spoke with the actress at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival in France this week, and she revealed that she explored a wide range of vocal techniques before nailing down her signature sound.

"I did, I did," Jolie told us. "I've never loved my own voice. Like most people, you hear your own voice and you think, 'Ugh.'"

Fact: giant robots smashing each other to pieces is awesome in any language.

Proof: a brand new trailer for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" has arrived, except this time, it's not in English. Check out Optimus Prime's slick French accent as he lays the law down with Shia LaBeouf and Frances McDormand, both actors falling in line with the Autobot leader's new dialect. Not a lot of new scenes to pour over here, unfortunately, but, hey… "Transformers" kicking ass in French. It sells itself.

Check out what else is happening in the movies world today past the jump, including some movement on the new "Terminator" film and the final casting of the last two "Hunger Games" tributes!

Sarah Michelle GellarNot looking forward to that Joss Whedon-less "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reboot that's supposedly floating through Hollywood? Well, you're not alone.

Though she's remained very quiet on the subject so far, Sarah Michelle Gellar has finally opened up about her stance on the brand new "Buffy" movie that supposedly won't have anything to do with the beloved universe set forth by Whedon — a universe that still very much exists in the form of a Dark Horse comic book series, mind you.

"I think it's a horrible idea," she said bluntly in an interview with CNN (via Blastr). "To try to do a 'Buffy' without Joss Whedon, I mean that's, like, honestly, to be incredibly non-eloquent: that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard."

Woody HarrelsonFans haven't been universally appreciative of casting news on "The Hunger Games" thus far, with the possible exception being Jennifer Lawrence's attachment as Katniss. But here's something that everyone — or, at least, a "Lost" architect — can get behind: Woody Harrelson is on board as Haymitch Abernathy!

Many members of the Twitter-Wood community spent today observing the 10th anniversary of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" author Douglas Adams' untimely death, while still others remain obsessed with the demise of Osama bin Laden… so much so that one actor was not really able to unmask the Al Qaedea terrorist's killer.

I'm @roundhoward and this is Twitter-Wood for May 11, 2011.

Sylvester StalloneEven without a director in place or an officially locked-in cast — though, let's face it, this movie ain't happening without Sly Stallone — it looks like it's full steam ahead on "The Expendables 2."

First Showing points us to some new artwork and an official plot synopsis for the developing "Expendables" sequel that debuted this week at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival… and honestly, I'm pretty surprised at how much Nu Image is willing to reveal at this stage of the game.

Click past the jump for the spoiler-filled synopsis for "The Expendables 2"!

We first heard about James Franco's plans to adapt William Faulkner's classic novel "As I Lay Dying" back in January, when we were inundated with a slew of new projects the Oscar host was signing up for seemingly every day.

It's been several months since and all has been quiet on that front, but according to some information we gleaned from actor Paul Dano — rumored to be involved in Franco's adaptation — our speculation is that the actor/writer/host/professor/etc. is still working on bringing "As I Lay Dying" to the screen.

MTV News caught up with Dano at the Tribeca Film Festival, where he was very coy about the subject, offering up as much as he could without actually confirming or denying his involvement.

"I know James a little bit. Like him a lot. I know he's going to try to do this film. Don't know when and where yet. So honestly not really, can't say," Dano said. "I can't say because I don't know."

Hitchhiker's GuideGrab your copies of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and share a moment of silence with us, because today marks the 10th anniversary of the death of author Douglas Adams.

With his quirky sense of humor combined with a unique take on life in outer space, Adams remains on our list of all-time favorite science fiction novelists. In honor of his memory, we've decided to take a look back at Hollywood's best attempt to bring his best-selling book to the big screen: the 2005 adaptation of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

Though it's not a universally adored adaptation -- though there's something appropriate to that fact -- we'd be lying if we said we didn't appreciate the effort involved with "Hitchhiker." After the jump, we'll tell you everything we loved about that movie, from saving "The Hobbit" to making Alan Rickman cute and cuddly.
