With the premiere of HBO's highly-anticipated "Game of Thrones" series just around the corner (six days and counting!), author and co-executive producer George R. R. Martin has been on a publicity blitz promoting the show. In doing so, during one of his many countless interviews, the subject of "Lost" was brough up in relation to the amount of pressure surrounding an ending to something so beloved by fans -- much like the pressure Martin feels in bringing his "Song of Ice and Fire" series to an end.

Long story short, Martin was not a fan of the "Lost" ending, which incited an almost immediate response from executive producer Damon Lindelof via Twitter and a brief chat with "Entertainment Weekly"

Lucky me, I was able to snag a few minutes with Martin when he stopped by the "Game Of Thrones" food truck in Venice, CA. on Friday. Here is what he had to say about the "feud."

"Most of this has broken while I've been out here [doing publicity for the show] and I don't travel with a computer, so I'm vaguely aware of it," he said. "But I haven't read any of it so I'll have to get caught up on all that when I get home."

Rise of the ApesDon't let Andy Serkis' new job as 2nd Unit Director on "The Hobbit" fool you — the man is most certainly still up to his old tricks as a motion-capture artist.

Not only is Serkis reprising his role as Gollum for "The Hobbit," but he's up to monkey business again with "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," Fox's recently retitled prequel to the classic "Apes" franchise. Serkis is channeling his inner King Kong once more as Caesar, the main ape in "Rise" that eventually leads an uprising against mankind.

A full-on teaser trailer for "Apes" is expected to land later in the week, and ahead of that, we've got our first official look at one of the film's monkeys in motion.

The Boy Who Lived embarks on his final journey this summer in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," but it's certainly not the end for Daniel Radcliffe himself. Not only is the British actor currently appearing in the Broadway revival of "How to Success in Business Without Really Trying," he'll also head back to the cinematic world early next year with "The Woman in Black," a decidedly darker turn for the "Potter" star.

We've seen numerous photos of Radcliffe in character as haunted lawyer Arthur Kipps, and now we're finally seeing him in action in the first trailer for "Woman in Black."

If at one time or another you've found yourself a little put off, or scared even, of a Twi-hard, you're not alone. After all, no one knows that better than the cast of "The Twilight Saga" who have seen firsthand how fans can take their undying love for undying love a little too far.

Those same fans will have plenty of reason to get excited this Wednesday (April 13) when MTV News brings you "MTV First: Taylor Lautner," a sit-down interview with Taylor where he'll take fan questions and premiere the first trailer for his latest movie, "Abduction."

In honor of all this, we're taking a look back at our all-time favorite MTV moments with Taylor, all leading up to the big interview. So, it seemed only fitting that after we recollected the 19-year-old superstar's brush with Les Grossman and comparing abs with Robert Pattinson, we look at a moment in which Taylor told us a story about a seriously devoted fan.

In our #3 moment Taylor described how one hardcore Twi-hard figured out a way to have him with her... permanently.

Sidney LumetThe filmmaking community lost one of the true greats over the weekend: New York based director Sidney Lumet died on Saturday at the age of 86.

With a vast body of work ranging from "12 Angry Men" in 1957 to his final film in 2007, "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead," there's no doubting that Lumet's influence on the movies industry was a profound one. After the jump, we're remembering the dearly departed director by looking back at some of our favorite Lumet pictures.

Box OfficeFROM MTV MOVIES: "Hop" leapt over the competition to become the first movie of 2011 to enjoy two consecutive weeks at #1 on the box-office tally over the weekend. Featuring Russell Brand as the voice of the Easter Bunny, the kids' flick successfully thumped four new movies: "Hanna," "Soul Surfer," "Your Highness" and Brand's own "Arthur." All figures are according to studio estimates released on Sunday.

The $12.6 million opening for English comedian Brand's remake of the 1981 comedy "Arthur" was no match for the $21.6 million collected by the live-action/animated hybrid "Hop," which has earned a total of $68.1 million since its premiere. Neither film is a hit with critics, with both garnering just a 24-percent approval rating, according to Rotten Tomatoes, which compiles reviews from major film columnists across the country.

The first "Arthur" earned original star Dudley Moore an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of an alcoholic millionaire and grossed $95.5 million, which is equivalent to $260 million in 2011 when you adjust for ticket-price inflation. The new version, which co-stars Helen Mirren (who hosted "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend) and Jennifer Garner, doesn't seem likely to come close to the original's success. And the remake's debut is far behind the $17.6 million generated by the opening weekend of last year's "Get Him to the Greek," which co-starred Brand alongside Jonah Hill.

Liam NeesonAfter giving a part that was originally intended for Mel Gibson to Liam Neeson, "The Hangover Part II" director Todd Phillips has changed things up yet again.

Over the weekend Variety reported that Phillips, while editing the comedy, decided to cut the scene that immediately followed Neeson's. The only problem was that Neeson's scene required both a re-write and a re-shoot. Since Neeson was tied up in London filming "Clash of the Titans 2," Phillips had to find a replacement. He chose Nick Cassavetes, who will now play the tattoo artist in Bangkok that the Wolf Pack run into in their midst of their shenanigans.

Check out the rest of today's casting news after the jump, including Michael Shannon snagging the role of the villainous Zod in the "Man of Steel," Jessica Biel closing in on the "Total Recall" reboot and more!

The 2008 comedy smash "Tropic Thunder" spawned some memorable characters, to say the least. From Robert Downey Jr.'s very method actor Kirk Lazarus to Jack Black's drug-fueled Jeff Portnoy, there could have been any number of characters from the film that earned their own spin-off movie.

Of course, since no one in the industry has quite the same pull as "Tropic Thunder's" sleazy, rap enthusiast movie honcho Les Grossman (played by a transformed Tom Cruise), there's no surprise that it's him.

When MTV News caught up with "Saturday Night Live" funny man Bill Hader at the first-ever Comedy Awards (which air Sunday, April 10 at 8p.m. on Comedy Central, VH1, Spike TV, Logo, CMT, TVLand, and online at thecomedyawards.com) he told us that the Les movie is written and is getting closer to arriving in theaters.

Hader, who appeared in a few Les Grossman skits in anticipation for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, confirmed that his friend, actor/writer Michael Bacall (who previously penned "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and is currently working on the upcoming remake of "Fright Night") "wrote it and he's told me some really funny scenes from it."

While Hader admitted he was vague on the details of what the plot for the movie based on Cruise's loud, boorish exec would actually be about ("I just know the broad strokes. Michael just telling me, 'I just wrote this scene where blah, blah, blah and I'm like, 'Oh, that's funny, man!'") or when it would finally make it to theaters (Cruise will be busy with "Rock of Ages" soon) he was sure of one thing, "It's gonna be great."

There's no shortage of reasons for you to see "Hanna" now that it's finally arrived in theaters. Indeed, Saoirse Ronan explained it best — "Just go! Just go to it!" — when I asked her why movie fans should commit their hard-earned dollars to the pulse-pounding fairy tale action thriller this weekend.

But I understand that that's not a compelling enough argument for everyone. No worries. Like I said, there are countless reasons to see "Hanna," which currently ranks as my favorite film I've seen all year. After the jump, check out five reasons you should see this movie.
