When it comes to the reason most unaffiliated people are interested in HBO's upcoming fantasy series "Game of Thrones," the casting of Sean Bean is pretty high up on the list.

Most people know Bean on sight as That Guy from "Lord of the Rings" (Boromir) or The Bad Guy in so many movies ("Goldeneye," "National Treasure," among others), but somehow he has become intricately tied with the fantasy genre. It helps that his role as Boromir was widely regarded as one of the best characters in "Fellowship of the Ring," and that he's a great actor, so that when Bean was cast as Lord Eddard Stark in "Game of Thrones," he quickly became the highest billed actor on the sheet.

When MTV caught up with Bean about a month ago to talk about the upcoming series (premiering tomorrow), he said he was a bit unaware of the way fans have embraced his casting.

It's a good week for Tom Felton fans. First we saw him in the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" trailer, and today we get our first look at him in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2."

The image comes at us courtesy of Warner Bros. via Coming Soon, and it's got us super excited for the epic Room of Requirements scene we've had teased in the earlier trailer. Also released was an ultra-dramatic shot of Harry, Ron and Hermione, though we're a bit confused as to why Ron looks so bored.

After the jump, you can check out the new "Cowboys & Aliens" trailer, find out what could be the name for Judd Apatow's upcoming "Knocked Up" sequel, and see the newest "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" poster.

TransformersFROM MTV MOVIES: While gearing up for the release of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," director Michael Bay has not been shy about his desire to right the missteps in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen": putting more focus on writing a better story, making the action more accessible, yet "epic" in scale. Based on the footage and trailer MTV News saw on the Paramount lot before a candid chat with Bay on Thursday, it looks like he's making good on his word.

We can't get into specifics, of course, but with regard to the trailer — the 2-D version of which will roll out in theaters on April 28, while a 3-D version will hit in front of "Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides" — it takes the intrigue of the teaser trailer, plus the intensity from the action-packed 30-second Super Bowl spot and adds enough mind-blowing, mesmerizing robotgasm goodness to leave even the most passive of fans slack-jawed. Or googly-eyed. One of the two.

We also saw snippets of returning and new supporting cast members, a possible Pink Floyd tie-in and a tantalizing, yet not at all overwhelming, 3-D sizzle reel.

Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal have reunited once again for the new Will Ferrell comedy, "Casa de Mi Padre." The flick looks hysterical. Will speaking in Spanish and acting like a tough rancher and those two guys showing off their much underused funny bones should lead to many risas (that's laughs in Spanish for you Gringos).

This reteaming makes me happy for a number of reasons. One, it means that I can follow-up on that dinner that Gael owes me when we inevitably meet again. Two, it means that we get to see them in a flick together again. And, three, it means that I perhaps may get the assignment to interview them at the junket.

The last time the three of us sat in a room together, we laughed, chatted about their 2009 joint endeavor, "Rudo Y Cursi" and, oh yeah, we all kissed. It's more or less what it sounds like.

"Scream 4" hits theaters today. After a decade long absence from cinema screens, series masterminds Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson have engineered a new story that brings your favorite horror movie survivors back for one more scare against the dreaded Ghostface — and if you have any doubts about whether or not the movie is going to work, allow me to gut them like a fish for you.

If you're a "Scream" fan, and if you were thinking about skipping out on round four, don't. Much better than two and three and a lot closer to the quality of the original than you might expect, "Scream 4" is a totally worthwhile trip to the movies. Find out why after the jump!

Cowboys and AliensA new trailer for "Cowboys & Aliens" was released on "American Idol" last night and it sent Twitter all atwitter. While we're not sure the title implies a singular champion, we've got some celebrity predictions for which side comes out on top.

"Game of Thrones" premieres Sunday and we keep forgetting that it's not a movie. But there's something about it that makes us love it. We're guessing it's the brooding and the violence (Just like in the movies!). We've got some early reviews fresh off the Twitter.com Internet Website. Meanwhile, "Scream 4" lands in theaters and it's Emma Watson's 21st birthday today. See what Voldemort had to say!

I'm @TravisHelwig and this is Twitter-Wood for April 15th, 2011.

The "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" trailer arrived early yesterday morning, and we still can't get it out of our heads more than a full day later. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that Fox simply refuses to end the relentless monkey business.

In addition to the just released trailer, 20th Century Fox has also issued a whole host of concept art from "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," giving us a startling glimpse at how these not-so-simple-minded simians plan to take over the world.

Will FerrellAy dios mío! I'm almost afraid to say it, but I think we've finally found the perfect Will Ferrell movie.

No, I'm not talking about a sequel to "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," though that would come quite close. Instead, it's his Spanish-language comedy "Casa de mi Padre" that could very well steal la tarta de cumpleaños (see what I did there?) when it comes to the all-time great Ferrell comedies, if the film's freshly debuted trailer is any indication.

In "Casa," Ferrell plays Armando Alvarez, a Mexican rancher who falls in love with his younger brother's fiance, leading to death-defying tensions between himself, businessmen and ruthless drug lords — and, dare I say it, it looks like his funniest movie yet. See why I think so after the jump.

The countdown continues! The epic "Game of Thrones" premiere is inching closer and closer... and as such, MTV News is at your service with as much "GoT" goodness as we can muster. Like tidbits from author George R.R. Martin and stars Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Sean Bean.

This latest clip from my interview with Bean is focused on the very complex and heartbreaking relationship that his character, Ned Stark, has with his illegitimate son, Jon Snow.

"It's a quite sad relationship, really," Bean said. "It's quite heartbreaking because Ned cannot show too much love and tenderness towards his son because his wife knows that he is Ned's bastard, he was born out of wedlock when Ned had a fling. It's very heartbreaking for him."
