The Boy Who Lived embarks on his final journey this summer in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," but it's certainly not the end for Daniel Radcliffe himself. Not only is the British actor currently appearing in the Broadway revival of "How to Success in Business Without Really Trying," he'll also head back to the cinematic world early next year with "The Woman in Black," a decidedly darker turn for the "Potter" star.
We've seen numerous photos of Radcliffe in character as haunted lawyer Arthur Kipps, and now we're finally seeing him in action in the first trailer for "Woman in Black."
IGN premiered the trailer, which describes itself as "the most chilling ghost story of our time." We don't know about that, but we can certainly vouch for Radcliffe's own fear of whatever it is he's encountering in this teaser. We'll wait for the full-length trailer to hit before deciding just how frightening this movie might get, but for now, consider us intrigued at the least.
Radcliffe stars in "Woman in Black" as Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer sent to the small town of Crythin Gifford to sort out the affairs of a recently deceased client. But the town has more than paperwork in store for Arthur, who suffers a series of startling and, eventually, potentially fatal encounters with the haunting Woman in Black.
The film, which is based on Susan Hill's 1983 novel of the same name, hits theaters on February 10, 2012.
