If you were thinking about getting a replica of Mike Tyson's facial tattoo and making a movie about it, you might want to reconsider -- for several reasons.
S. Victor Whitmill, the tattoo artist behind the boxing icon's distinctive facial tattoo, is suing Warner Bros. for copyright infringement because of the use of a similar tattoo on Ed Helms' character in "The Hangover: Part II." As The Hollywood Reporter points out, since the similar design was kind of the point of Helms' tattoo to begin with, it will be hard to argue that wasn't its intent, but we have a feeling the case will be able to be settled fairly quickly. If you've forgotten what Helms' new tat looks like, check out the newest poster for "Part II" that hit the web courtesy of actor Ken Jeong:

There's a lot more of today's movie news after the jump: Arnold Schwarzenegger picks his next film, we find out more information about the new "Terminator" flick and "Ender's Game" finally gets a director and studio.

"Twilight" lovers, you think you know vampires? Wait until you've been through "Fright Night."
Former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" writer Marti Noxon tackled the script for Craig Gillespie's forthcoming "Fright Night" remake, starring Colin Farrell as a bloodthirsty vampire who heads to suburbia and terrorizes his next-door neighbor Charlie, played by "Star Trek" veteran Anton Yelchin. Yes, technically you can add this one to the increasing pile of Hollywood reboots and remakes — but that doesn't mean this 1985 horror-comedy classic wasn't worth revisiting for today's audience.
When I spoke with Noxon for MTV's Summer Movie Preview week, we talked about the need to return to "Fright Night," how the movie handles current perceptions of the vampire genre, and what Yelchin and his distinguished cast members brought to the table for the upcoming remake. Read about all that and more past the jump.

Say it with me now: ska-doosh!
If you're a big fan of "Kung Fu Panda" like I am, then you're going to love this: as we rush towards the finish line of Summer Movie Preview week, we're bringing you an exclusive clip from "Kung Fu Panda 2," this summer's sequel to the DreamWorks animated martial arts epic.
Jack Black once again provides the voice of Po, the legendary Dragon Warrior who now fights alongside the Furious Five as an equal. His powers are put to the test with the arrival of Lord Shen (Gary Oldman), an evil peacock hell-bent on wreaking havoc against our kung fu heroes. In the clip, you'll see an awesome sequence of Po and his pals swinging into the thick of battle — no actual fisticuffs, sadly, but it's a great tease at the animated action coming our way this summer.

FROM MTV MOVIES: The first time Tom Hanks stepped behind the camera on a big-screen production, he captured a story set in the early 1960s, a period he had lived through as a preteen. But the particulars of "That Thing You Do!" — a rock band that rides a hit song to fame but can't follow through on their initial promise — couldn't have been further from Hanks' California childhood.
His second directorial effort, however, was inspired by events from his past, even if it does not seem so at first glance. In "Larry Crowne" — the upcoming comedy he also co-wrote and in which he stars with Julia Roberts — Hanks plays the title character, a guy fired from his job at a big-box retail store and forced to go back to college, where he meets a professor named Mercy Tainot (played by Roberts). But as Hanks told MTV News as part of our Summer Movie Preview week, he actually relates to his character's plight.
"My first years in college were much like Larry's," he told us. "I was in junior college because it was my only option — if I didn't enroll right after high school I would have had no path to any future. Two years in junior college became the jumping-off point for everything that came later and I think this was the same for others — not just kids out of high school, but guys back from Vietnam, wives going back to school after their kids were older, and folks who were looking to change their lives for the better."

Captain Jack Sparrow sails back into theaters on May 20, 2011, offering moviegoers the opportunity to sail the high seas with this bumbling, drunken pirate for the first time since 2007.
But when Johnny Depp returns to his signature role, he'll be in entirely new territory: gone are Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, replaced by newcomers like Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane. Likewise, original director Gore Verbinski has walked the plank with "Nine" helmer Rob Marshall stepping in to captain the Black Pearl for its fourth voyage. Despite the new parts — indeed, perhaps because of them — we're still very much looking forward to "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," and we're betting that you are, too.
To whet your appetite for the latest "Pirates" adventure — less than a month away from release now — we've got an exclusive photo for your viewing pleasure, all part of MTV's Summer Movie Preview week. Enjoy!

When you think of Robert Rodriguez, you're more likely to think of him as the guy responsible for highly stylized blood-filled thrillers like "Planet Terror," "Predators" and "Sin City." But don't forget that this is the same guy who brought us the "Spy Kids" franchise all those years ago, a series that's been inactive since 2003.
Well, Rodriguez is calling those young spies into active duty one more time this summer — and this time, there's a heavy emphasis on "duty."
Jessica Alba stars in "Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World" as a spy mom who embarks on covert espionage missions, sometimes with a newborn baby strapped to her chest. As you do. It's a new take on a tried and true franchise, and the inspiration behind this latest iteration of "Spy Kids" has some pretty surprising origins — namely, Alba's real-life diaper-changing responsibilities as a new mom. We spoke with Rodriguez about the new "Spy Kids" movie as part of our Summer Movie Preview. Check out an excerpt from the interview past the jump.

Despite all odds (and a few predictions on the Mayan Calendar), "Fast Five" is finally here! The fifth installment in the street racing franchise just opened and already broke the record for highest-grossing Universal picture with a midnight release. While the critics have given it mixed reviews, one star thinks it might be the next "Citizen Kane."
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated summer comedy "Bridesmaids" screened last night and the tweets are alive with commotion. We can't remember the last time an all-female comedy has gotten so much buzz but it's understandable when you get a load of the egregiously talented cast. Some well-respected actors and comedians were in the audience last night and somehow, someway, they got us even more excited.
And we've got some of the funniest things Hollywood tweeted about the beautiful wedding most Americans slept through.
I'm @TravisHelwig and this is Twitter-Wood for April 29th, 2011.

We’re showcasing this season’s blockbusters for Summer Movie Preview week, but let’s be honest – sometimes, you just want to veg and watch something that won’t require you to leave the couch.
If you’re planning on a summer filled with Hot Pockets, your game console, and a whole lot of nothing, we don’t want you to be alone. In the spirit of camaraderie, check out some of our slacker film favorites after the jump. Each one of them demonstrates the art of shameless time-sucking; laziness and haziness required.

Despite any reservations you may have had, you gotta admit: that trailer for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" looks frakkin' good.
Early footage from the film already had us excited for this next installment in the "Transformers" series, but now we have an even better sense of where the movie's headed. And since we've watched the video at least a dozen times since it premiered last night, we figured we'd break down for you guys exactly why you should be looking forward to this flick come July 1.
Frances McDormand getting in on the conspiracy? Check. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley keeping up with the boys? Check. A whole lot of robots destroying a city and beating the crap out of each other? Check and check. Click on after the jump to see our favorite parts of this trailer.

Talk about having some major range: Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges will go from "Crazy Heart" to "Tron" to "True Grit" to, possibly, the zombie comedy "R.I.P.D."
According to Deadline, Bridges is in talks to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in the movie about a squad of undead police officers. The comedy, which is based off of a comic, has Robert Schwentke at the helm. If Bridges were to step in, he would be taking over for Zach Galifianakis, who dropped out from the project due to scheduling issues. Honestly though, who wouldn't abide by the law if The Dude was on the undead force?!
Check out the rest of today's biggest casting news from Hollywood and find out who might be appearing in "Prometheus" and which Academy Award-winner will be team up once again with Sasha Baron Cohen!
