Mirror, mirror on the wall, who protects the fairest maiden of them all? Sadly, the answer is not Viggo Mortensen.
Although "Twilight" fave Kristen Stewart is locked and loaded as the leading lady of "Snow White and the Huntsman," it now appears that Mortensen, who was previously attached to play the fairy tale princess' titular guardian, is no longer involved with the project. THR reports that talks between Universal and Mortensen's camp broke down over the weekend, leaving the role of the Huntsman wide open for now.
We're sad to see Mortensen go, but there's little time to waste — the search is on for a new Huntsman, and we have a few suggestions in mind after the jump!
"Sucker Punch" is finally out in theaters, and whether you loved it or you hated it, we're betting you have an opinion.
Make no mistake: this is a divisive movie. It's not for everyone, certainly not movie fans who aren't interested in big, loud, frenetic action flicks jam-packed with slow motion fight moves, scantily clad women and roaring renditions of some iconic rock tunes. But if those things are your cup of tea, chances are very good that you'll like what you see.
So, the all-important question: have you seen "Sucker Punch" yet? If so, what did you think? Click past the jump, vote in our poll and let us know what you thought of the film in the comments section and on Twitter!

Making your big screen debut is, no doubt, a nerve-wracking experience. Doing it while playing a real-life person who just so happens to be hanging around the set would be enough to rattle even the most seasoned superstar.
That was exactly the case for Carrie Underwood, who, despite being the champ on her season of "American Idol" and making a cameo last season on "How I Met Your Mother," had her trepidations about getting in front of the camera for her role in the upcoming inspirational biopic "Soul Surfer."
In it, the Grammy-winning country singer plays Sarah Hill, a youth counselor who befriended and guided Bethany Hamilton (AnnaSophia Robb), a teen surfer who tragically lost her arm during a shark attack in 2003.
In this EXCLUSIVE behind-the-scenes look at "Soul Surfer," Underwood discusses how she prepared for her big-screen debut and why she and her co-stars wanted to do Hamilton's story justice.

Zack Snyder's long-awaited cinematic mind-trip "Sucker Punch" finally hits theaters today. At the center of the story are five women, all of them inmates at the fictional Lennox House for the Mentally Insane. They're also exotic dancers, and ass-kicking warriors as well. The film's most intense action unfolds in a sort of fantasy reality. The less said about it here, the better; what you need to know is that each of the five Lennox inmates get to show off their particular talents during these sequences.
To get you in the mood for today's release, we've profiled each one right here on MTV Movies Blog all week. We've already highlighted Amber (Jamie Chung), Rocket (Jena Malone), Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish) and Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens). Today we look at the last of the ladies, Babydoll, played by Emily Browning.

After a midseason move from Thursday to Friday nights, fans of Fox's critically acclaimed but criminally under-viewed "Fringe" were understandably worried about the fate of the show. But ratings have held strong in its move to a time slot that's traditionally viewed as a death sentence, so much so that "Fringe" is now officially coming back for a 22-episode fourth season.
This is very good news, in case you were wondering, and after the jump, we're sharing the top five reasons that the "Fringe" renewal is putting a smile on our faces.

What ever happened to young fiction fans getting along? According to Twitter trends today, you are either #TeamTwilight, #TeamNarnia or #TeamHarryPotter. But what if we're all three?
In our opinion, each series definitely has their merits. With "Harry Potter" you have a great story about coming of age and having to conquer the unconquerable obstacles in your path, while in "Twilight" you have love in its purest form and in "Narnia" you have a tale of family that sticks together through thick and thin to do the best for the world around them. Can't we just love them all?!
There are plenty of reasons each of them could count as our favorites, and after the jump we detail why we feel that way. Then YOU can duke it out in the comments section and on Twitter!

Tom Hooper has already conquered the king's speech, so now he's heading to help out the miserable ones living in 19th century France.
Deadline has the news that Hooper is negotiating to direct a full-blown musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's classic novel "Les Miserables." The last Hollywood retelling of the story starred Liam Neeson, Geoffrey Rush, Uma Thurman and Claire Danes, and chose to just adapt the book instead of taking a stab at the musical. Now, it won't be long until "One Day More" is blaring on the big screen.
The news got us thinking about which Hollywood actors might have the chops for a full-on "Les Miserables" movie musical, and we think our line-up is looking pretty solid. Check out our picks past the jump!
