Narrowing down your favorite supporting characters throughout the whole wide wizarding world of the "Harry Potter" universe is no easy task, but smart money puts Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody towards the top of most fans' lists.
Moody, a crucial member of the Order of the Phoenix and mentor of Harry's, has come to stunning life on the big-screen in three separate "Potter" flicks not just by actor Brendan Gleeson, but also the fantastic array of special effects and makeup artists who created the hard-drinking Auror's scarred appearance and his literal wandering eye.
In this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" Blu-ray and DVD that hits streets on April 15, "Potter" fans are invited to take a look at how the production team brought Mad-Eye Moody out of J.K. Rowling's written imagination and into the plane of cinematic existence.

"The Hunger Games" may have found its Katniss Everdeen in the form of Jennifer Lawrence, but the hunt is still on for her two leading men.
A list of actors tapped to read for the role of Peeta Mellark has hit the web, and Hollywood Crush has the rundown on the fan favorites who made the cut (most notably Hunter Parrish) and those who didn't (goodbye, Alex Pettyfer). There were also a few actors noted who were expected to try out for the other lead, Gale, including "Hunger Games" fan Liam Hemsworth.
After the jump, find out which "Twilight Saga" actor is in talks for "Dark Shadows," who has joined the "Three Stooges" as Curly and whether Saoirse Ronan is in or out of "The Hobbit."

We knew it would all end at Hogwarts. We knew nowhere was safe. And now we are reminded that all of "Harry Potter" is coming to an end on July 15, 2011.
The first poster has been released for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," and gone are the rugged niceties of "Part 1's" character posters. No, this new poster breaks it down to the basics, and brings the series back to where it all began. Because in the end, despite all the twists and turns J.K. Rowling's saga has taken over the years, the series is going to end one way and one way alone: with Harry Potter facing off against Voldemort.

"The Dark Knight" is about to get some new friends on Facebook.
Just three weeks after Warner Bros. announced it would be kicking off a movie rental system on Facebook, in which for $3 or 30 Facebook credits you could watch a flick that you "like" (the first offered being Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winner "The Dark Knight"), the studio is now offering more films for your viewing pleasure.
As of Sunday, March 27, Nolan's other box-office-dominating Academy Award-winner "Inception," as well as "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," became available for Facebook users to watch.

Where "Snow White" loses one man, she gains another. Except we're not exactly talking about the same Snow White, are we?
Earlier today, we brought you the sad news that Viggo Mortensen has dropped out of "Snow White and the Huntsman," leaving the Kristen Stewart-starring adaptation without a leading man for the time being. While the search is still on to replace Mortensen, a different "Snow White" project is picking up some steam in the form of a new casting addition: Armie Hammer.
Deadline reports that "The Social Network" actor, who starred in the Oscar-winning film as the infamous Winklevoss Twins, is joining the cast of what was once called "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White," but has since been referred to by Relativity Media as an "upcoming untitled Snow White feature based on the Brothers Grimm story." Any bets on the new title?

If you're traveling through or near the Bronx Zoo in New York today, keep an eye out for the poisonous Egyptian cobra that has gone missing. News of such a reptilian menace on the loose would send most even-tempered individuals into a frenzy, but not Steve Martin — no, the "Father of the Bride" funny man is ready to make his move if necessary.
"An Egyptian cobra has escaped and is hiding in the Bronx zoo," Martin wrote today on Twitter. "I’m sitting in my King Tut hat by the phone awaiting their call for help."
Martin's willingness to combat poisonous snakes isn't the only interesting thing going on in the Twitter-verse today. After the jump, find out who didn't audition for Lois Lane in "Superman," which movie stars are celebrating birthdays and much more!

Now here's an accusation that definitely would have sent Nina Sayers over the edge.
Over the weekend, Entertainment Weekly reported that dancer Sarah Lane, the ballerina who worked as Natalie Portman's double in "Black Swan," claimed the Oscar-winning actress only did five percent "of the full body shots ... all the other shots are me." Lane, who was credited as “Hand Model,” “Stunt Double,” and “Lady in the Lane,” went on to claim that producer Ari Handel told her not to speak to the press about what she did in the movie.
"They wanted to create this idea in people’s minds that Natalie was some kind of prodigy or so gifted in dance and really worked so hard to make herself a ballerina in a year and a half for the movie, basically because of the Oscar," Lane told EW.

The first "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" deleted scene has hit the web, and it's a scene that we've been itching to see since the film landed in theaters in November.
In adapting "Deathly Hallows," the "Harry Potter" team had to condense the opening scene where Harry leaves his Muggle family for the sake of time and pacing, resulting in a quick little opening montage. The change worked well, but it left audiences missing some interesting exposition between Harry and his only living family -- the same people who made his life miserable for the first 10 years of his life.
After the jump, watch the tense scene unfold between Harry and his Aunt Petunia in the Dursley household.

Of the many reasons to adore "Pineapple Express," the bromance between James Franco and Danny McBride stands at the top of the pile. We'll get to see those comedic powerhouses join forces again soon when their medieval fantasy stoner comedy "Your Highness" lights up theaters (literally and figuratively) on April 8.
We're sure that many of you have looked at the dynamic between Franco and McBride with some jealousy in your hearts, wondering what exactly you would have to do to carve out a place for yourself in that abundantly awesome friendship. Well, intrepid MTV reporter Josh Horowitz dug into that very question in the latest edition of After Hours, called "Male Bondage."
What he learned will frighten, astonish and amaze you. Watch the video for the results and click past the jump to read what he endured on the road to friendship.

"Sucker Punch" wasn't the critical or commercial hit that Zack Snyder was likely hoping for, but he'll have another shot at success in just over a year when "Superman: Man of Steel" arrives in December 2012.
The shape of that long-awaited superhero movie is finally coming into focus, too, as Snyder announced over the weekend that Amy Adams is playing Lois Lane. The three-time Oscar nominee joins a growing cast that includes Henry Cavill as Superman with Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as his parents.
Adams is a strong choice to take on the role of Metropolis' most tenacious reporter, but we still have a ways to go before seeing her take on one of the comic book medium's most beloved supporting characters. After the jump, get the lowdown on the movies we'll see her in before "Superman" takes flight.
