Guillermo del ToroGuillermo del Toro's journey towards "At the Mountains of Madness" has come to a sad, screeching halt.

Though he was slated to direct his long-awaited adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft horror tale this summer, it now appears that the project is off the table. Numerous reports surfaced yesterday that Legendary Pictures had successfully lured del Toro away from the Universal horror flick for "Pacific Rim," a PG-13 blockbuster featuring massive monsters and "the creation of a new world."

Whether or not "Pacific Rim" is del Toro's next film isn't entirely clear, but "Madness" is certainly finished for now. The filmmaker himself reached out to The New Yorker and revealed: "Madness has gone dark. The ‘R’ did us in."

James BondDaniel Craig's return as James Bond is here a bit earlier than expected, and certainly in a fashion that none of us were anticipating.

Although the British actor is set to put on the iconic tuxedo once again for the currently untitled "James Bond 23," Craig is already back in Bond mode in a new two-minute video clip where the womanizing spy endorses International Woman's Day — by going undercover as a woman.

See Craig turn his license to kill into a license to dress in drag past the jump!

There's nothing Will Arnett or Jason Bateman could do that we here at MTV Movies Blog wouldn't be interested in, even if it's just commercials.

And that's exactly what their venture Dumb Dumb is doing: reshaping our ideas of commercials with the help of College Humor. Dumb Dumb launched in July 2010 with the short film "Prom Date" in promotion of Orbit, and now the duo is at it again with "Always Open!," a new talk show nestled in the comforting confines of your local Denny's.

Surely there hasn't been a better venue for an online video show since Zach Galifianakis set up shop between two ferns, and host David Koechner is making use of the way America's favorite breakfast joint brings out the best in people for Dumb Dumb's newest show. The first episode premiered yesterday with Bateman as its guest.

The Dark KnightIf Facebook is already eating time in your professional and personal life, consider yourself -- as well as your employers and your loved ones -- warned.

In a press release, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that it will become the first studio to offer a movie rental system via Facebook, starting today. The studio plans to "begin testing an offering of selected movies for purchase or rental through Warner Bros. Entertainment’s Facebook movie pages,” beginning with the massively successful "The Dark Knight."

The WB's Facebook system requires that users "like" the movie of their choice, resulting in the option to either rent it for $3 or use 30 Facebook credits. Users have a 48 hour window to watch the film, during which time they can make comments, pause and replay, all while still on their Facebook page -- don't want to miss those pending requests, after all!

Angelina JolieLara Croft will start raiding theatrical tombs again within the next two years, but when she resumes her adventures, Angelina Jolie won't be anywhere in sight.

GK Films has announced that they have acquired the feature film rights to the "Tomb Raider" franchise with the intention of rebooting the video game-turned-movie series, according to Deadline. The current plan is to release the reboot in 2013, which would mark 10 years since 2003's "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life."

It's impossible to separate the success of the first two "Tomb Raider" films from Angelina Jolie, but producers are seemingly going in their own new direction for the reboot. But Jolie's loss is another young actress' gain -- the question is, who could possibly replace the blockbuster actress? We're contemplating our potential new Lara Croft past the jump!

When news broke last month that Martin Scorsese had signed up for a fifth collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio in the form of "The Wolf of Wall Street," we started wondering what that meant for Scorsese's planned production with Robert De Niro, "The Irishman."

After finishing up the fantastical 3-D flick "Hugo Cabret," and shooting his long gestating "Silence" about Jesuits missionaries in 17th Century Japan, would Scorsese skip over "Irishman" and head straight into "Wall Street"?

That seemed to be the plan according to multiple reports, but not to De Niro himself. When MTV News caught up with the man during a "Limitless" press day, De Niro told us "Irishman," his eighth collaboration with Scorsese, will still be the director's follow-up to "Silence."

Trent ReznorThe Internet is good for quite a few things, not the least of which are adorable cat videos and spoiling the heck out of movies.

Last week's revelation that Oscar-winner Trent Reznor is both scoring and appearing in the upcoming "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" falls into the latter category. It turns out that the musician's role of Jack Barts, the vampire who slays Lincoln's mom, was meant to be a secret!

Reznor took to the Nine Inch Nails forum to address fans about, amongst other things, the new How To Destroy Angels record, his work on "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and, of course, his part in "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter."

Silent HillIn a day and age where blockbuster cinema is largely ruled by comic book films, it's somewhat surprising that the universally loved video game adaptation does not yet exist.

Some would argue that "Silent Hill" came close to hitting the mark, but even that game-to-movie isn't agreed upon as a decisive success. The foundation for a strong film is certainly there, however, and perhaps it'll strengthen even further with the upcoming sequel, "Silent Hill Revelation 3D."

Empire Online has word on the picture, which begins production this week in Toronto. "Solomon Kane" director Michael J. Bassett is behind the lens on the sequel, and it was announced today that Australian actress Adelaide Clemens has joined the cast in the lead role.

Check out the first official photo from the "Silent Hill" sequel past the jump!

The "Prometheus" cast is starting to fill out with acclaimed actors including Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba. But for many, it all starts with Noomi Rapace, the leading lady in Ridley Scott's hotly anticipated return to the science fiction genre.

Currently best known for playing Lisbeth Salander in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," Rapace is set for the role of scientist Elizabeth Shaw, the supposed protagonist of "Prometheus." It's a daunting prospect for any actor who hopes to take the reins of an "Alien" spinoff from former leading lady Sigourney Weaver, but as Rapace explains it, the comparisons between Shaw and Ripley won't last for long.

"She's definitely her own [character]," Rapace told us during a recent interview on the set of "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," adding that "Prometheus" does indeed have connections to the "Alien" series.
