The young stars of "Harry Potter" would be hard-pressed to say that they were anything but lucky to be cast in the series 10 years ago.
But that doesn't mean that they never had hopes and dreams to follow different career paths. In an exclusive clip from the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" DVD/Blu-Ray, MTV has a first look at what Rupert Grint and Tom Felton think about how "Harry Potter" has affected their lives.
The video includes a cute bit where Felton asks Grint what he would be doing if he had never been cast as Ron Weasley. Hint: it involves his ice cream truck.
"That was the original dream, yeah to be an ice cream man," Grint said with a smile, adding that he could have been a rapper too. "I was a bit of a rapper, yeah. I had some rhymes."
The actors knew up front that they were cast as much on how they would grow into their character as they were on their acting ability. For the Phelps twins, it only took one audition before they were cast as Fred and George Weasley.
"There's a point when you realize that your life would never quite be as usual as you had always planned it to be," says Phelps, a sentiment that many "Potter" veterans are likely to share.
