The kind of day that Jake Gyllenhaal is having over and over and over again in "Source Code" makes "Groundhog Day" look like a walk in the park.

A second trailer for director Duncan Jones' follow-up to the criminally underappreciated "Moon" arrived online today, showcasing the time travel narrative at the core of the film: "Source Code" stars Gyllenhaal as Colter Stevens, a military man repeatedly sent back through time to investigate a terrorist bombing and prevent further attacks. If you enjoyed the first trailer, you're going to love this.

Awesome as it is, the new "Source Code" trailer isn't the only major headline in the movies world today. After the jump, check out some updates on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" score and "Arrested Development" creator Mitch Hurwitz's next project!

Let’s be honest: in this day and age, the idea of watching an entire 90-minute movie with uninterrupted concentration is almost inconceivable. Certainly not in a world where e-mail, commercials and, of course, Twitter completely rule our lives.

And it gets worse: this year's Oscar ceremony, airing on Sunday (February 27), has ten Best Picture nominees. Ten! It's hard enough to watch an entire movie on its own, and it's downright impossible to expect that you've seen all ten of the big contenders come Oscar night.

But as always, we have a solution. We're marrying our Twitter fixation with the Best Picture problem: we've seen every movie up for the award this year, and to bring you up to speed, we're reviewing each one of them Twitter style. After the jump, get our quick takes on all of the Best Picture nominees — in 140 characters or less, of course!

Bad TeacherIs Cameron Diaz the new Billy Bob Thornton? From the looks of things in the just-released red band trailer for the upcoming comedy "Bad Teacher," Diaz has taken a cue from Thornton's seriously dark comedy classic "Bad Santa" by putting a foul-mouthed adult around impressionable youth.

"Bad Teacher," due in theaters on June 24, is about a disgruntled teacher/arguable sociopath named Elizabeth (Diaz) who, while not smoking "medicinal" marijuana in the parking lot, passing off the advances of the school's gym teacher (Jason Segel) and grading papers ("Are you f***ing kidding me?" she writes on a student's exam), sets her sights on finding a man to take care of her.

Enter Justin Timberlake, who plays Scott, the new sub Diaz intends on nabbing for herself. After discovering Scott has a penchant for, er, top heavy females, Elizabeth aims to win a bonus for having the highest-scoring class in order to pay for breast implants. The ridiculously unsafe for work trailer is past the jump!

Alien invasions are never fun. Fun to watch, sure, but not fun to experience—which is why our hearts go out to the characters of "Battle: Los Angeles," who appear to be struggling through one of the fiercest alien invasions ever captured on film.

The previous trailers for "Battle: LA" gave us a very good sense of what we're in store for when the sci-fi action flick arrives in theaters next month, but it's the first full clip that really hammers home the ground-level intensity this film has to offer.

TransformersMichael Bay has made no secret about the fact that "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" is his final outing with the franchise as director. But this is Hollywood we're talking about — deals are forged, minds are changed and blindsides lurk about every corner. With that in mind, is it possible that Bay could return for a fourth "Transformers" after all?

We put the question forth to Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner during a recent interview, asking him whether or not he could see Bay returning to the series—and if not, might the series continue past Bay's involvement?

"I would say to you right now that I've so enjoyed working with Michael Bay," he answered. "Michael has got this incredible visual sense for showing you things you've never seen before. Perhaps he'll change his mind, perhaps he won't, but I'd rather put out this movie first then cross that bridge at some point."

Franco and HathawayPoor James Franco. Even with his first-ever Academy Award nomination and the best seat in the house at the Kodak Theater on Sunday (February 27), the guy knows he's going home a loser.

But it's not his co-hosting the Oscars with Anne Hathaway that weighs heavy on his mind. In fact, as he put it earlier this month, "If I host the worst Oscar show in the history of the Oscars, like, why do I care?" Rather, it's his belief that he's going to lose the Best Actor Oscar to "The King's Speech" leading man Colin Firth.

Franco and Hathaway spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the fast-approaching show, and the "127 Hours" star put on his most gracious loser face. "Nobody is shy about saying Colin Firth is going to win," Franco said. "I’ve accepted that. By hosting, it makes it easier to go to the events and not feel like a total schmo."

We have less than a month to wait before Zack Snyder's "Sucker Punch" lands in theaters, and believe us, we're monitoring the clock closely.

Although the director is hardly a stranger to the action scene, "Sucker Punch" already has all of the makings to become Snyder's greatest entry into the genre to date: look no further than the previously released trailers for definitive proof of the samurai-smashing, dragon-slaying madness at the hands of five very capable young women.

But if those other "Sucker Punch" trailers failed to wow you with their combat-heavy visuals, perhaps the latest trailer — released yesterday evening on Yahoo — will do the trick.

Zombies vs RobotsMash-ups, ya’ll – they’re the new black! On the heels of the Super Bowl trailer for Jon Favreau’s highly-anticipated "Cowboys & Aliens" comes news of yet another head-to-head Hollywood battle: "Zombies vs. Robots!"

Action master Michael Bay is attached to produce, and the script is based on the comic of the same name, created by Ashley Wood and Chris Ryall. Word is that the plot focuses on the last human on earth – a little girl – who is protected from evolved and ruthless zombies by a group of robots. Sounds a bit like “I Am Legend” to us — maybe Bay will nab Willow Smith for the lead role?

There’s sure to be more news on this budding project as it progresses, but let’s get straight to the point: with "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Zombies vs. Robots" in the can — not to mention the even more ridiculously titled "Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus" — how many other zany mash-ups is Hollywood going to churn out? We figured we’d venture five guesses — or suggestions, really. Michael: call us!

Tom Hagen, Kobayashi, Doctor Gonzo -- the world of cinema has no shortage of lawyers who have rolled up their sleeves and gotten into the thick of the action, whether they liked it or not.

It looks as though Matthew McConaughey's latest turn in "The Lincoln Lawyer" will be no different. The smooth-talking actor plays lawyer Mickey Haller in director Brad Furman's March-releasing flick, based on the Michael Connelly novel of the same name. And just like those lawyers mentioned above, Haller's going to have his hands full with more than just a court case when this law drama rolls into theaters.

G.I. Joe"G.I. Joe 2" is currently seeking directors, with filmmakers F. Gary Gray and Jon Chu reportedly the frontrunners for the job. Official confirmation has yet to hit the wire on either of them, but when MTV News spoke with Chu earlier today, the "Never Say Never" director certainly didn't deny his "Joe" involvement.

"I don't know," Chu laughed when we asked if there was any truth to the rumors connecting him to the "G.I. Joe" sequel. "I mean, I don't know what goes on inside the doors of Paramount, but I'm up for a bunch of different projects."

Not a confirmation, but certainly not a denial from where we're sitting. And while many "Joe" fans have scoffed at the idea of the "Step Up 3-D" director and Justin Bieber documentarian taking the reins on their beloved franchise, give the man a chance: after all, as he explains it, Chu is a deep cut fan of the series himself.
