Last week "Ender's Game" fans everywhere rejoiced at the news that the beloved novel by Orson Scott Card is getting closer to a long-awaited big screen adaptation. Director Gavin Hood ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine") along with dynamic writing/producing duo Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman ("Star Trek," "Cowboys and Aliens") announced - via Orci's Twitter account - that they are currently shopping the project around town.

MTV News recently caught up with Orci during a preview screening of one of he and Kurtzman's many other projects, "Transformers: Prime," where we asked him how things are going with "Game."

“The first thing is to set it up somewhere," he said. "The last 48 hours I’ve been running around trying to sell the damn thing, and someone needs to get some guts, and get in here and buy it."

On that note, Orci called out Hasbro by name, the same company that produces "Transformers: Prime" on its shared venture with Discovery, The Hub.

Roberts and TheronBy Sterling Wong

Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? As previously reported on this blog, audiences can look forward to competing adaptations of the classic fairytale Snow White.

There’s "Snow White and the Huntsmen," with Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, and also "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White," where Deadline pretty much confirms that Julia Roberts will inhabit the same role. Looks like we’ve got a face-off between two of Hollywood’s premiere A-list actresses!

We thought we’d place the two stars side by side to see who is a better fit for the requirements of the role and who will emerge as the true Evil Queen. May the best woman win!

Roger Hargreaves' classic "Mr. Men" books were a staple of my childhood. My mother might even tell you I had an especially close relationship with "Mr. Messy" (I still do). So it is with no small amount of joy that I greet the news today of a planned "Mr. Men" animated film!

Shawn Levy is set to produce the adaptation, which doesn't currently have a writer or director attached, The Hollywood Reporter reveals. The series, which has previously been the subject of four different TV shows, spans 48 books, giving Levy and his team plenty to pore over in adapting the source into a feature-length tale.

What Levy doesn't have access to is the series of planned follow-ups that never got off the ground. Our MTV super-spies have managed to track down five of the never-published "Mr. Men" books, written by a shadowy figure who calls himself Mr. Made-Up. Read all about them after the jump.

(Editor's note: None of these books ever actually existed. We're just feeling really, really punchy today.)

Kevin Smith has been very deliberate about what he's revealed and what he hasn't when it comes to "Red State." The politically and religiously-minded horror film is certainly a change of pace for the filmmaker, and it shows in what little we've seen – from the eerie character-centric teaser posters all the way through to the unforgettably haunting trailer.

With that in mind, make no mistake about it: what Smith is showing you in this exclusive clip from "Red State" is deliberately chosen. The scene he's selected features some of the movie's most prominent players, including Oscar-nominated actress Melissa Leo and Michael Angarano.

Details on the scene are past the jump!

Melissa LeoBest Supporting Actress. It's a category that's notorious for being a wild card race and now one of its nominees has become just that -- a wild card.

Melissa Leo, who has all but swept the awards season thus far (including victories at the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the Critics Choice Awards) for her work in "The Fighter," has quite possibly gone from front-runner to question mark with a self-promoted campaign.

Late last week, Leo released two Hollywood trade ads on her own (sources say "The Fighter's" distributors Paramount and Relativity had no idea about the move), one in which she wears a black, sequined gown, in the other a large, white faux-fur coat. Both ads simply read, "Consider..."

Liam Neeson's long and distinguished career has afforded him the opportunity to play Jedi knights, Irish gang leaders, retired espionage agents and much more. But for his latest turn, it's about to get very strange: he'll inhabit the role of an Irish tattoo artist living in Thailand for a cameo appearance in "The Hangover 2."

"Oh, it was [fun]," Neeson told MTV News when asked about the cameo during the press junket for "Unknown," his latest thriller featuring shades of "Taken."

Meryl StreepBy Sterling Wong

In a stroke of serendipity (or good timing), the first picture of Meryl Streep as British conservative icon Margaret Thatcher was released earlier today, just a couple of days after Ronald Reagan’s centenary celebrations.

Deadline has the photo, and yes, after her successful portrayal of Julia Child “Julie and Julia,” Streep’s now bringing another iconic figure to the big screen in “The Iron Lady,” a biopic of the controversial former British prime minister.

The look captured in the picture is one of uncertainty, as Streep almost looks like a deer in headlights. It’s a good sign that indicates that the film will probe deeper beneath the impervious facade of Britain’s face of the '80s.

Christopher LeeIt's as easy to spend a day surfing through IMDb as it is to waste hours of time on Wikipedia or Facebook, and when it comes to actors I love returning to on the website, Christopher Lee tops the list.

These days, the 88-year-old Brit is best known for his roles of Saruman in "The Lord of the Rings" and Count Dooku in the "Star Wars" prequels, but it was only 50 years ago that he was the king of horror films. But why I really love returning to his page is because the list of his film goes on and on and on.

In total, Lee has appeared in 268 films since his first role in 1948. With so many movies under his belt, my question for the BAFTA committee is not why they chose to honor Lee with the prestigious Academy Fellowship award at the awards ceremony this Sunday (February 13), but really, what took them so long? I outline the reasons why I think he deserved this role a long, long time ago after the jump.

Michael MooreThey are some of the most feared, respected and controversial men in Hollywood... and now they are facing off against each other.

On Monday, Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against power producers Bob Weinstein and Harvey Weinstein for allegedly cheating him out of $2.7 million from the hit 2004 documentary "Farenheit 9/11."

Moore is seeking punitive damages from the Weinstein's Fellowship Adventure Group, who he claims agreed to split the profits 50/50 from the film (the movie pulled in $222.4 million worldwide at the box office, making it the most successful documentary of all time), but instead hid a portion of the money from him.
