We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming for a public service announcement concerning… well, me!
I'm Josh Wigler, your new editor here at MTV Movies Blog. I wanted to take a few minutes out of the day to quickly introduce myself, since we're going to be spending a lot of time together in the coming centuries. (Yes, centuries. Among other things, you should know that I'm an ageless techno-organic organism without a discernible lifespan. Kidding. Maybe.)
As some of you already know, I've been kicking around here on Movies for quite a while now, contributing to the blog as a freelance writer since the spring of 2009. Perhaps you'll remember my coverage of the final season of "Lost," or some of my interviews with folks like Sigourney Weaver and "The Dark Knight" co-writer David Goyer.
I've also been a regular fixture on some of the other blogs in the MTV News community, most especially Splash Page. It was through those guys that I was able to visit the "Captain America" set, which is why I'm grinning like an idiot in the picture you see below. Good times! You'll hear a whole lot more about that trip in the coming months, I'm sure of it.
As far as my personal tastes, well, I already told you yesterday that "Aliens" is my favorite movie of all time. That should tell you a lot. I'm a bit of an action, science fiction and comic book nerd, I grew up worshipping Arnold Schwarzenegger, and at the end of the day, "Lost" is still my favorite piece of storytelling of all time, ending be damned. But as long as a movie or television series is compelling and well-produced, it doesn't matter what genre it is: straight comedy, romantic comedy, black comedy, action comedy… anything, really.
But what I like isn't nearly as important as what you like. What do you like? I want to know! One of the big goals for me in taking the reins on Movies Blog is to get more of a back-and-forth going between you the readers and we the writers. So, please, hit that comments section. Get on Twitter and tweet at us. Heck, you can even tweet at me! Keep things civil and clean, absolutely, but keep it challenging and engaging as well. We want to hear from you. You guys are our lifeblood, after all, and we can never thank you enough for that.
Alright, that's all from me for now. You keep reading, I'll keep writing. That's the deal!

Say hi to the new editor in the comments section and on Twitter!
