M. Night Shyamalan's movies are always shrouded in the utmost secrecy, so getting him to divulge anything is near impossible. When MTV News caught up with Night on the National Board of Review Awards red carpet, we took a crack at it anyway, asking the director about his upcoming film "One Thousand A.E.," which has Jaden Smith set to star.

When we asked him if he'd be making "One Thousand A.E." his next film, Night replied, "It's starting to look like the Smith family and Shyamalan will be doing a movie together." The Smith family, you say? Of course, we had to ask if that meant that Will, Jada and Willow might also appear in the flick, to which Night laughed: "You never know. Their dog maybe... Any Smith that wants to work in my film can work in my film." Read more...

Mark Wahlberg and MTV's Josh Horowitz have a bit of history, thanks to numerous interviews and a viral video in which Wahlberg threatened Josh with a knife (jokingly, of course). So when they met up on the red carpet of this week's National Board of Review Awards, Wahlberg continued the charade the two had begun in MTV's "The Knife Show," grabbing Josh by the tie and taunting him. But fine actor that he is, Wahlberg is capable of altering his emotions on a dime. And so, suddenly, things turned tender. How tender, you ask? Let's just say cheek caressing, nose nuzzling and a near kiss may have been involved, as Wahlberg illustrated the seduction tactics he employed with on-screen love interest Amy Adams in "The Fighter." Check out the sweet moment below -- it's the perfect way to close out the work week.

What do you think of Wahlberg's seduction skills? Tell us in the comments!

Seth Rogen in The Green HornetFans of Seth Rogen, Michel Gondry and comic books, rejoice! "The Green Hornet" hits theaters today, following privileged playboy Britt Reid's (Rogen) emerald-suit-clad alter-ego in his attempt to find his place in the world following his publishing mogul father's untimely death.

Reid's solution: teaming with his late father's kung-fu-fighting mechanic Kato (Jay Chou) to provide Los Angeles with the vigilante justice its crime-ridden streets so desperately need. Hilarious friction between the polar opposite partners, a refreshingly Gondry-esque take on action sequences and menacing opposition in the form of villain Chudnofsky (played by "Inglourious Basterds" baddie Christoph Waltz) ensues.

The Green Hornet's name was coined in homage to Reid's father, who died of anaphylactic shock after being stung by a bee. Because "The Green Bee" sounded silly, "hornet" was offered as a substitute. This got us thinking: What the heck is a hornet, anyway? As it turns out, Chudnofsky would've done well to give Jim Carpenter, curator of invertebrate zoology at the American Museum of Natural History, a call. The man knows a thing or two about defeating a hornet, among other useful facts pertaining to the insect. (Um, we hate to break it to you, Rogen, but you didn't have to lose all that weight to play the part after all.) Hit the jump to find out what the movie got right and wrong with regard to hornets. Orlando Bloom as LegolasThe past couple of weeks have seen a number of familiar "Lord of the Rings" faces confirm their returns to Middle-Earth in Peter Jackson's upcoming two-part prequel, "The Hobbit": First Elijah Wood joined up as "LOTR" hero Frodo Baggins, then news broke that Andy Serkis had locked a deal to reappear as Gollum, and finally came the refreshing news that Sir Ian McKellen is back on board as wisdom-spewing wizard Gandalf. But although reports of Orlando Bloom's return as Elvish archer Legolas in "The Hobbit" surfaced more than a month ago, we've had no confirmation since.

Today, however, comes word from Movieweb (via Heat World) that Bloom is indeed nearing a deal to reprise the beloved role. But here's the kicker: According to the report, he's in line to receive a cool $1 million for what will be just a two-minute cameo. Read more...

Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger TidesWe're still about four months away from "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" sailing into theaters, but that hasn't stopped Disney from setting the wheels in motion for a fifth installment in the swashbuckling franchise.

Earlier this week, Johnny Depp told Entertainment Weekly that he's already had discussions about returning to the role of rum-loving, adventure-seeking Captain Jack Sparrow for a fifth go-around. "As long as we can put all the puzzle pieces together, I would most definitely consider it," he told the magazine.

Well, today Disney started trying to put the puzzle pieces together. According to Deadline, the studio has hired scribe Terry Rossio to write the script for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5."

Adam SandlerApparently, we live in a world where Brad Pitt can play Sean Penn's father, and Adam Sandler can play Andy Samberg's. But while Pitt will play scenes opposite a younger version of Penn's character (and not Penn himself) in , Sandler and Samberg are in talks to star in a Columbia Pictures film called "I Hate You Dad" that would cast Sandler as Samberg's titular loathed papa.

Strangely, although the two are only 12 years apart, I can definitely see Sandler playing Samberg's father. Considering Samberg is Sandler for a new generation in many ways (and the two have similar comedic styles), the casting almost seems like it was fated to happen. Read more...

Adrien BrodyWhile we might have lost Daniel Day-Lewis to a full-fledged "Abraham Lincoln" biopic, we still have high hopes that a worthy actor will tackle the title role in "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" -- and now we're one step closer to finding out who that is.

The Timur Bekmambetov-directed adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's novel has been testing a variety of known and unknown actors for the part, according to Deadline. Unfortunately, none of them is Eric Bana, who had been rumored for the part.

Adrien Brody is probably the most surprising name on the list, but we're suspecting he's looking for a true blockbuster after "Splice" and "Predators" failed to attract a wide audience despite decent reviews. Josh Lucas is also one of the better-known actors in the running. Read more...

What would you do if you saw your best friend's wife making out with Channing Tatum (you know, besides scream "Yo Joe!" as you hit him with a pile-driver to the back)? That's the question facing Vince Vaughn in the Ron Howard-directed comedy "The Dilemma," in theaters this Friday, January 14.

In the film, Vaughn and Kevin James play Ronny and Nick, respectively, pals and business partners in an auto design firm. Just as things are starting to take off for them professionally (they land a shot at a project that would make their firm famous) and personally (Ronny decides to propose to his girlfriend Beth, played by Jennifer Connelly) something happens that threatens to ruin it all: Ronny spots Nick's wife Geneva (Winona Ryder) hooking up with a tattooed miscreant (Tatum). As you may have guessed, Ronny finds himself with quite the dilemma: to tell or not to tell? Watch three clips from the film below.
