Fight For Your Right RevisitedThey fought for their right to party in hilarious movies like "Stepbrothers," "Pineapple Express," "School of Rock" and "Pedicab Confessions" (hey, it counts!). And now Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Jack Blackand Elijah Wood are teaming up to star in "Fight For Your Right Revisited," a short film written and directed by Beastie Boy Adam "MCA" Yauch. The flick will premiere at Sundance in the spring. And we thought Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis were a comedy dream team!

A recently released still of the film shows Wood as Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, Rogen as Mike "Mike D" Diamond and McBride as Yauch. No word yet on who Ferrell, Reilly and Black will be playing, but if this video is just a remake of the Beastie's original 1986 video for "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party)," then my vote's on Black as Ric Menello. Mark WahlbergMark Wahlberg isn't starring in a remake of "The Crow," but that doesn't mean he won't be saying hi to another bird's mother in the near future.

The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Wahlberg and Universal Pictures have acquired the rights to produce a feature-length adaptation of director Ricardo De Montreuil's short film "The Raven." Wahlberg is co-producing alongside his colleague Steve Levinson, with Underground Films trio Nick Osborne, Trevor Engelson and Oly Obst executive producing.

Justin Marks will write the film's screenplay, which is in development as a starring vehicle for Wahlberg. Read More...

By Gaby Izarra, winner of MTV's Ultimate "Tourist" Guest Correspondent contest

There I was at the climax of my trip to Paris as MTV's guest correspondent for "The Tourist" press junket... and as with the end of any good movie, I was eager to know what was about to happen. As I waited to interview Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany, I planted myself on a puffy couch in the hospitality suite of Le Meurice Hotel. I had dressed up for the occasion, wearing a chic white blazer, some shiny tights and a pair of funky round-toed gray suede wedges. Everyone there told me not to be nervous, which actually made me a little bit nervous. Journalists were taken in clusters to the interview rooms, and my group finally departed around 3 p.m.

When I walked into the room to interview Angelina, the first thing that struck me is that she's just as dazzling in person as she is on the big screen -- high definition video doesn't lie. I introduced myself and immediately said I was with MTV. It was a solid effort at gaining some credibility. "Of course you are because you look cool!" Angelina said while examining my outfit. Score! Cate BlanchettWe're closer and closer to a return trip to Middle-Earth every day, and it actually appears that "The Hobbit" is moving forward without a hitch — so far, at least. Adding further fuel to the idea that Peter Jackson's two-part prequel to "The Lord of the Rings" is actually happening is the fact that New Line and Warner Bros. just revealed that a February 2011 production start date has been set... and seven new actors have joined the film's cast!

Well, we should clarify: six new actors and one "Lord of the Rings" veteran. In a press release, New Line and Warner Bros. announced that in addition to new arrivals Ken Stott, Sylvester McCoy and Mikael Persbrandt, Oscar winning actress Cate Blanchett is set to reprise her role as Galadriel, the Lady of Lothlorien. Natalie Portman in Black SwanBy Kristen Shalbinski

If you are one of the millions of Americans not living in L.A., New York or another major city
in the country and you are dying to see "Black Swan," don't fret. By December 22, the film will be released in more than 1,000 theaters across the country -- because nothing screams holiday cheer like rival ballerinas Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis locking horns on stage and locking lips (and more) off stage.

This past weekend the film has made a stellar $1.44 million after only being released in only 18 theaters. That gave it a per-theater average of $80,212, good for the 21st spot on the all-time list, according to BoxOfficeMojo. In other words, it's already big... and it's poised to be huge when it expands this Christmas. And that's not the only reason this news should make moviegoers merry. Read More...

As if we needed another reason to be afraid of the dark. A new trailer for "Vanishing on 7th Street," which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year, just hit the Internet, and we're definitely planning on staying away from creepy dark places for at least the next hour.

Director Brad Anderson, who is responsible for thrillers like "The Machinist" and "Transsiberian," earned himself some mixed reviews when "Vanishing on 7th Street" was shown at Toronto, but we like what we see in the trailer. Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo star in the thriller that follows the survivors of mysterious blackouts in Detroit. When they wake up, they find out that everyone in the city has disappeared and there are strange whispering shadows pursuing them. Unsurprisingly, the enemy in this film is the darkness itself. Men In Black 3WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's arrest in London kicked up some tweet commentary in the feed today. Amid all of the critics and supporters, though, James Urbaniak thinks Assange would be a fine "Law and Order" character.

Wil Wheaton, meanwhile, attempted to leak the secrets of creating paper Darth Vader snowflakes on his account, and the pictures show that he came very close. Elsewhere, Tyrese Gibson didn't divulge anything new from the set of "Men in Black 3," but he did hang out with Will Smith and try on some shoes. You'll find his comments, along with Dax Shepard and a monkey, Bret Easton Ellis' praise for Susan Boyle and Seth MacFarlane on his relationship with the U.K. down below.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is Twitter-Wood for December 7, 2010. Read More...

Daft Punk's hotly anticipated video for "Derezzed," a track featured on the soundtrack the group did for "Tron Legacy," debuted on MTV this morning. If you're a "Tron" fanatic, chances are you'll love the thing. Even if you're not a Tronnie, you have to admit the vid looks cool and trippy as hell... but we'll forgive you if you're a bit lost when it comes to the video's subject matter. No clue what Flynn's is or why people are riding around on motorcycles made of neon light? MTV to the rescue!

Our very own Eric Ditzian has written an in-depth guide to the various "Tron" images and references in the clip. So check out Daft Punk's "Derezzed" video above, then hit the jump for the highlights from Eric's analysis. Read More...

Chris TuckerSometimes we just need a vacation from work. Some of us get a few days off around the holidays, others a few weeks, but Chris Tucker gets about half a decade. The last time we saw him on the big screen was in 2007's "Rush Hour 3," before that was in 2001's "Rush Hour 2" and, following the trend, before that was in 1998's "Rush Hour." But now he (allegedly) is coming back... and it didn't even take a "Rush Hour" movie to goad him back into action.

Deadline reports that Tucker is attached to star in Warner Bros.' newest acquisition, "The Rabbit." The film, which is being compared to "Midnight Run," was written by newcomer Micah Barnett and is being produced by Dan Lin ("Sherlock Holmes"). Read More...

Perhaps you've heard that "21 Jump Street," a 1980s TV series about undercover cops who specialize in youth crime, is getting a big-screen adaptation courtesy of Jonah Hill, who co-wrote the script and will star opposite Channing Tatum. You may have also heard that Hill wants Johnny Depp -- whose portrayal of Officer Tom Hanson on the show helped launched him to superstardom -- for a cameo. Well, here's a bit of news that might not have made its way to your ears: Depp is totally game for it.

The man known for playing Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood and Captain Jack Sparrow told MTV News exactly that at the Paris press junket for "The Tourist." "I've said I'm into it, but no one's actually approached me," Depp said of a role in "21 Jump."

Meanwhile, Jonah Hill, who specifically scripted a part for Depp in the film, told MTV as recently as last month that he'd love to have the iconic actor in the "21 Jump Street" reboot. In fact, he even made an on-camera pitch to Depp, joking: "Just do it, dude. Don't be an a--hole." Read More...
