Fans have been clamoring for an "Arrested Development" movie ever since Fox gave the under-appreciated sitcom the ax in 2006. Creator Mitch Hurwitz and all the show's stars have said they'd be on board for a big-screen outing from the beginning.

Alas, nothing has ever materialized... and the stars have turned their attentions to other projects. Michael Cera and Jason Bateman have budding film careers, Portia de Rossi is busy promoting her new book "Unbearable Lightness," Megamind").

Still, the stars and creator can't get through a single interview without some bothersome journalist pester them about the "Arrested Development" movie. And, since MTV News is not above such things, our very own Kara Warner decided to ask Cross for some "AD" scoop when she had the opportunity to chat with him at the "Megamind" junket last week. Justin BieberIt's only normal to see some complaints about election outcomes the day after, but Frankie Muniz intends to do something about his dissatisfaction. According to an update on his Twitter account from yesterday, someone tried planting some campaign signs on his lawn, but he caught them on tape in the act. Andy Milonakis, meanwhile, was much more resentful that Prop 19 failed to pass in California, and Judd Apatow thinks yesterday's results across the country will largely benefit the comedy industry.

The last 24 hours haven't been without their photo ops, either, as Sofia Vergara ran into Justin Bieber, and David Wain claims to have a shot with Jennifer Aniston, though I can't vouch for that just looking at it. Judge for yourself after the jump where you'll also see which films Kevin Smith and Ludacris have been working on.

Jonah Hill is a busy dude these days. In addition to promoting the animated superhero flick "Megamind" (in theaters Friday) and filming the "Adventures in Babysitting"-meets-"Pineapple Express" R-rated comedy "The Sitter," the funnyman's cinematic plate is piled high with a strange melange of upcoming projects: a comedic contemporary take on the '80s cop show "21 Jump Street," a potential role as a villain in the eagerly anticipated male-supermodel sequel "Zoolander 2" and an R-rated animated flick titled "Sausage Party."

MTV News visited Hill on the set of "The Sitter" to get an update on that exceedingly full dance card of his, and he did not disappoint. "That should be shooting early next year," Hill said of "21 Jump," which will see him act as star, co-writer and producer. "It will be my next movie. I won't do another movie before that movie as of right now." Of course, we had to ask the question on everyone's mind: Is Johnny Depp on board to reprise his role as Tom Hanson? "Hopefully, he does it. It would be awesome if he did it," Hill said, before jokingly directing a message directly at Depp. "Just do it, dude. Don't be an a--hole. Just be in the movie." Tom CruiseLook! Up in the sky! It's a bird. It's a plane. It's... Tom Cruise?

That's right. This weekend, the ballsy actor proved once again that when it comes to sacking up for crazy movie stunts, there's no one more game than he is. On October 30, Cruise strapped on a harness to scale Dubai's Burj Khalifa skyscraper, which, at 2,717 feet, is the world's tallest building ever. Of course, Cruise wasn't doing it for sh--s and giggles (though we do get the sense he relishes stuff like this); the stunt is part of what promises to be a fairly awesome action sequence in the upcoming "Mission: Impossible" sequel, "Ghost Protocol."

The photo above offers a taste of just how high up Cruise was dangling -- he was hanging from the building's observation deck on the 124th floor -- but The Daily Mail has a few others to really get your jaw dropping. Our favorite is the close-up of Cruise from inside the building. It offers a true sense of just how much the guy is enjoying himself. Read More...

Jay BaruchelThis has been a big year for Jay Baruchel, what with him headlining three movies and all: "She's Out of My League," "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and the hugely successful "How to Train Your Dragon." He's not finished yet, though, as we've been hearing major buzz about Baruchel's hockey-themed passion project, "Goon," a film he co-wrote with "Superbad" scribe Evan Goldberg that is currently in production and rumored to be a potential darling at the American Film Market this week.

Seann William Scott stars as Doug, a small town bouncer who, after physically defending his best friend (Baruchel) at a hockey game, is recruited to play the enforcer for a minor league team, despite initial misgivings. Liev Schreiber and Alison Pill also star, with Michael Dowse directing.

MTV News chatted with Baruchel about the film and who'll be starring, and scored some exclusive photos from the flick, which you can check out by clicking on the image below. Read More...

Saoirse RonanIn Hollywood, everything comes in threes. More often than not, that's referring to celebrity deaths and trilogies, but today it's about Saoirse Ronan, who is getting her third title role in just one year. First it was "Hanna," which cast Ronan as a 14-year-old Eastern European cold-blooded killing machine. Then it was opposite Alexis Bledel in "Violet and Daisy," which follows two teenage hitgirls named (duh!) Violet and Daisy who get sucked into some serious trouble.

To complete the hat trick, Production Weekly has announced via tweet that Ronan will be starring in the Emma Thompson- and Greg Wise-scripted flick "Effie," which would cast Ronan as -- you guessed it -- the title character Effie Gray. The film will follow Gray's disastrous marriage to John Ruskin, a Victorian art critic and poet, and focus largely on their sexual relationship (or lack thereof) and a love triangle that results from that. Sure, Ronan played a teenager who was raped (off camera) in "The Lovely Bones" and made some pretty big mistakes in "Atonement," but do we really need to point out that she's only 16? Read More...

Hugh JackmanIf you dug "The Prestige," are a fan of Hugh Jackman and get giddy about Broadway musicals, then you're going to love this news.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jackman is going to be starring in the Broadway musical "Houdini" as the famed magician. What makes the project even more epic? It's being written by Aaron Sorkin and composed by Tim Burton's go-to guy Danny Elfman.

"Right now Aaron Sorkin is writing," Elfman told EW. "He's writing away, and we all have high hopes that Aaron's going to come through and do some good stuff." We should hope, considering Sorkin is likely to get an Oscar nod for his work on "The Social Network." Read More...

And off to Lilliput we go! A new trailer for 20th Century Fox's "Gulliver's Travels" has hit the Web, and this is not your grandparents' version of the story. I don't remember the Lilliputians rocking out to KISS, having Iron Man-style fighting machines or being willing to act as human foosball players, but maybe my memory's just a bit rusty. But the fact there are more "Star Wars" references (two!) than there are butt jokes (one!) definitely tips the scales in the film's favor.

To refresh, this contemporary version of "Gulliver's Travels" follows a travel writer named Lemuel Gulliver (Jack Black) who is assigned a story on the Bermuda Triangle, but ends up getting swept off to the mysterious land of Lilliput. Here he is a giant and, by using some well-intentioned lies, he becomes the Lilliputians' hero. Eventually they find out his secret, but he tries to win back their affections by stopping an attack by their hated neighbors, the Blefescu. Oh, and he's trying to help Horatio (Jason Segel) win over the Princess of Lilliputia (Emily Blunt) in the meantime. Read More...

Brad PittBrad Pitt is getting hitched to the mob -- and his "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" director Andrew Dominik -- for a new heist comedy titled "Cogan's Trade."

Pitt has pulled off quite a few capers in his cinematic day as a member of George Clooney's "Ocean's Eleven," "Twelve" and "Thirteen" crews, but this time he'll find himself on the other side of the coin. Based on the novel by George V. Higgins, "Cogan's Trade" casts Pitt as a professional enforcer for the mafia who's investigating a heist during a mob-run high-stakes poker game.

Sounds serious, but The Hollywood Reporter describes it as a "comedic crime story"... which is right in Pitt's wheelhouse. The actor is always at his best when he's mixing laughs with physicality, as he has in "Fight Club," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and "Inglorious Basterds." Read More...

Scarlett JohanssonIn case you missed the memo (and I'm not saying you did), Scarlett Johansson is one of Hollywood's most in-demand actresses. But for someone who just kicked butt (literally) as the superheroic Black Widow in this summer's biggest hit, "Iron Man 2," she's got a pretty wide-open schedule. In fact, the only gig Johansson has lined up is reprising her Widow role in 2012's "The Avengers." So it's no wonder that with some high-profile projects currently looking to cast their leading ladies, ScarJo's name has popped up numerous times today alone.

This morning, Deadline reported she was one of a gaggle of gorgeous Hollywood A-listers being considered for the pivotal role of Daisy Buchanan in ,a href="http://moviesblog.mtv.com/tag/baz-luhrmann/">Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" adaptation, which reportedly has Leonardo DiCaprio in line for the Jay Gatsby role and Tobey Maguire tentatively on tap to play narrator Nick Carraway. And now, Deadline is saying that Scarlett is also one of four actresses writer-director Cameron Crowe is eying to play Matt Damon's wife in "We Bought a Zoo." Read More...
