The "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" premiere last night must have been a fun time if you had a seat inside. Tom Felton and Warwick Davis both came away tweeting pleasant things about the experience, though Davis might have preferred a different seat.
Milla Jovovich, meanwhile, still has a while before she needs to think about showing up for her "Three Musketeers" premiere. She did reach her final day of filming, though, and knows exactly what she'll be doing next. You'll find her enthusiasm down below, listed with retweets from Seth MacFarlane and Damon Lindelof reacting to Harrison Ford, as well as David Slade's meditation on the death of Dino De Laurentiis.

The ending of this summer's "Toy Story 3" was so poignant, so well-done and so moving, we improving it in any way seemed utterly impossible. It was perfect. But apparently, even perfection can be perfected.
A new video of one of the film's final scenes -- the one in which Woody, Buzz and co. find themselves in fiery junkyard peril -- ditches the Randy Newman-composed score in favor of Michael Giacchino's super-emotional "Lost" theme. The result is a clip so powerful it'd reduce the entire cast of "The Expendables" to a blubbering mess. Check it out after the jump. Read more...

One of my favorite things about the "Harry Potter" series -- and one of the things that makes it such a huge literary accomplishment -- is the way author J.K. Rowling made every little detail important. We might not have realized it back in the "Sorcerer's Stone" days, but she was already setting us up for some of the biggest reveals in the "Potter" saga. Did I mention that Harry has his mother's eyes?
During the course of the seven books, audiences were introduced to a wide array of colorful characters that seemed only moderately significant at the time. Little did we know that they would actually end up becoming the series' most important characters. Here's a look back at 10 "Harry Potter" characters who ended up being a lot more significant than we could have ever expected. Be warned -- many "Deathly Hallows" SPOILERS lie ahead! Read more...

Little did we know that "The Muppets" movie had the ability to summon one of the most impressive comedic casts we've seen in a while. Jason Segel was already set to star in the flick, but now TheWrap has news that Jane Lynch is set to come on board along with "Communitys"'s Donald Glover and "Machetes"'s Danny Trejo.
Add that to the rumors that Lady Gaga would be getting a cameo with John Krasinski, Ed Helms and Eric Stonestreet as her entourage, and we're officially excited for this project.

Los Angeles will survive the alien assault in this week's "Skyline"... if only so the city can be bombarded again in next March's "Battle: Los Angeles." Thankfully, it looks like L.A. will be a bit more prepared this time around, considering "Battle" is more of a war movie, sci-fi style.
The trailer doesn't give too much of the film's plot away, but it's fairly straightforward. Aliens descend on Los Angeles, and the Marines are called in to try to stop the invasion. In this case, the Marines are Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez and Michael Peña (and thousands of others, of course -- those are just the ones we're supposed to care about). What is most notable about the trailer is that it presents the film first and foremost as a gritty war movie; badass extraterrestrials just happen to be the enemies. Read more...

Yesterday, MTV News revealed our list of the "Harry Potter" saga's top 10 villains. We made a few controversial choices on there -- the Dursleys and Severus Snape (at this point, he still seems like a baddie), to name a couple -- but we stand by our picks.
Still, we want to know which villain you love to hate -- or simply just love (hey, we don't judge) -- above all others. So hit the jump to take our poll and vote for your favorite "Harry Potter" bad guy or gal of all time. Read more...

Natalie Portman's going to dazzle some audiences this holiday season with her acting, dancing and makeup job in Darren Aronofsky "Black Swan," but she's also branching out creatively in an attempt to impress studios with her writing skills: Portman and her college pal Laura Moses have co-written a raunchy comedy, currently called "BYO," which revolves around two twenty-something women throwing a party where every female in attendance has to bring a single guy along as a guest.
The concept has been been compared to "Superbad" with female leads by those who have read it, according to the Los Angeles Times' 24 Frames blog. If the film finds a home, Portman wants to produce and star, and Anne Hathaway is reportedly interested in stepping into the second lead role. Read more...

FROM SPLASH PAGE: The last time we heard anything about "The Dark Knight Rises" casting, Christopher Nolan was reportedly taking meetings with a slew of actresses in their late 20s and early 30s for the female lead in his next Batman movie.
Today we have word that the list has been narrowed down to six lucky ladies, and that Nolan is looking to cast two female leads — not just one, as was previously thought. The short list of actresses allegedly in contention are Rachel Weisz (pictured), Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley.
According to Deadline, Nolan is looking for an actress to play a love interest for Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne, and another to portray a villain. Read more about the actresses up for "The Dark Knight Rises" on Splash Page!

Muggles from around the world had the privilege of watching the London world premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" today, thanks to a livestream of the event. The excitement from Leicester Square seemed to seep through the computer screen, and now has us even more anxious for the release of the film next Friday (November 19).
The square was decorated with "Deathly Hallows" posters and banners, and an archway was built to the entrance of the Odeon Theater with the 'Deathly Hallows' symbol shining above it. But the thing that made watching the premiere truly amazing was seeing just how many fans were in attendance. Almost every nation was represented in this crowd. There were fans from Mexico, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, the United States and Canada, just to name a few. And some of them were camped out in Leicester Square for two days prior to the premiere. In the crowd you could see signs made that read, "Weasley Is Our King!" and "Accio Grint," and there was a certain sign that drove home just how important Harry Potter is to some fans: "You Made Our Childhood Magical." You may not be able to attend the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" premiere in London, but a handful of folks in the Twitter-Wood feed received invitations and shared what they were up to en route.
Another traveling tale that showed up today came from David Slade, who happened to see someone watching a pirated version of his movie "Eclipse" on a plane. You can check out how he felt about that after the jump, as well as what Duncan Jones and Edgar Wright had to say about the passing of "Blue Velvet" producer Dino De Laurentiis... and how Jim Gaffigan views Veterans Day.
