Jackass 3-D"Jackass 3-D" has kicked audiences in the groin to the tune of $155 million worldwide since opening in October, making it the highest-grossing installment in the franchise to date. And, since the demand for the daredevil antics of Johnny Knoxville and co. has never been higher, Paramount announced today that an online sequel, "Jackass 3.5," will launch in March 2011.

Made specifically for release in digital media, "Jackass 3.5" will feature all-new content, including never-before-seen stunts and pranks to rival "Jackass 3-D"'s bee-hive tetherball and projectile Port-o-Potties. Each week, new stunts and footage will be released online, and will ultimately be packaged together for a full-length film to be distributed digitally before it's released on other platforms (including Blu-ray and DVD).

"When the 'Jackass' guys went to make 'Jackass 3-D,' we proposed that we shoot a follow up to the successful 'Jackass 2.5' digital feature alongside it, and everyone was up for it," Thomas Lesinski, president of Paramount Digital Entertainment, said in a press release. "In 'Jackass 3.5,' you are going to see an entire movie's worth of new stunts, new pranks and new gags, on whatever screen you choose."

"For 'Jackass 3-D' we shot enough footage for two movies, so a lot of great stuff didn't make it in the film," Knoxville added. "Luckily you will get to see those bits in '3.5.' We also shot some additional footage in Europe specifically for '3.5.' I have staples in my head right now to prove it. Woo hoo."

Are you excited for "Jackass 3.5," and is online the perfect place to launch it?

Natalie Portman had to do a whole lot to prepare her body for the rigors of playing a ballerina in Darren Aronofsky's upcoming psychological thriller "Black Swan" -- including hours of grueling workouts in both the gym and the dance studio. But for Portman that was nothing compared to preparing herself to film a graphic masturbation scene in which her character Nina is nearly caught by her mother while mid-self-pleasure. Portman fans may beg to differ, but the actress recently revealed to MTV News that she isn't particularly fond of the sequence.

"So disgusting," Portman said of shooting the scene. "It was akin to the experience of watching the movie with my parents sitting next to me, let me tell you," she laughed. Read More...

Tom FeltonSome Twitter-Wood citizens were shocked after the organization WikiLeaks decided to release U.S. diplomatic cables that they'd obtained over the weekend. Some responded with a total lack of surprise, such as Michael Ian Black, and at least one man just wanted to know if they were aware of where his keys might be.

A Tuesday earthquake in Japan, meanwhile, startled people as well. Olivia Wilde has a theory about why it occurred that you probably hadn't considered, while Tom Felton didn't appear to have experienced an interruption during his grocery shopping because of the quake. Find out what he was looking at in Tokyo after the jump, as well as what Rose McGowan thought of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1," as well as how "Weird" Al Yankovic sees himself.

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is Twitter-Wood for November 30, 2010. Read More...

Winter's BoneHaven't seen a little indie called "Winter's Bone" yet? You might want to go ahead and add it to your Netflix queue... that is, if you're interested in seeing what will likely be a top contender for this year's Best Picture Oscar.

After taking home the prizes for best feature and best ensemble performance at last night's 20th Gotham Independent Film Awards, the film was thrown an even juicier awards-season bone this morning, when it received seven nods -- including best feature -- to dominate the Independent Spirit Awards nominations.

Debra Granik scored two nods for directing and co-writing (with Anne Rosellini) "Bone," while Jennifer Lawrence scored a best lead female nomination for her riveting, star-making turn as a woman searching for her father in backwoods Arkansas. Her "Winter's Bone" costars, John Hawkes and Dale Dickey, nabbed nominations for best supporting male and female, respectively. And Michael McDonough earned the film's seventh nod, this one for best cinematography. Read More...

Jeremy RennerIs the Snake really coming back?

There has long been talk that New Line is working on a remake of John Carpenter's "Escape From New York," based on a script from Allan Leob ("Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps"). Rumored directors have included everyone from Brett Ratner to Len Wiseman ("Live Free or Die Hard"), with the job finally going to Breck Eisner ("The Crazies"). Dudes like Gerard Butler and Josh Brolin, meanwhile, have had their names tossed around as leading men potentially game to take over the Snake Plissken role from Kurt Russell. So far, though: no Snake.

The latest Snake-in-waiting, according to Internet scuttlebutt, is Jeremy Renner. Web reports earlier this month suggested the Oscar-nominated "Hurt Locker" star was close to being in talks for the role. But according to Renner, that's simply not the case. Read More...

Anna Faris"Ghostbusters 3" might not have a finished script, a green light or a director, but it certainly is gathering quite the cast.

Indiewire reports that in an interview with Chicago radio station WGN, scribe and original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd confirmed some of the casting rumors that have been swirling around for the past few months. According to Aykroyd, "SNL" funnyman Bill Hader is a "strong possibility" to star in the film, and Aykroyd is also banking on the participation of Anna Faris and Eliza Dushku.

Those three are added to the list of the previously on-board Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver. Aykroyd didn't mention whether Will Forte or original cast members Rick Moranis and Ernie Hudson, who were all rumored to have cameos, might be in for the film... but we wouldn't rule them out just yet. If anything's clear, it's that Aykroyd knows who he's gonna call when he needs some onscreen backup. Read More...

Tom HanksTom Hanks is joining the ranks ofRobert Downey Jr., Tom Hardy and Johnny Depp as one of the busiest men in Hollywood right now. He's currently finishing up work on "Larry Crowne," and today we have word that he is confirmed for Kathryn Bigelow's "Triple Frontier" (or "Sleeping Dogs," depending on who you ask) and is also likely to star opposite Halle Berry and Natalie Portman in the Wachowskis' "Cloud Atlas."

The first news isn't much of a shock, considering Hanks has been loosely attached to "Triple Frontier" for some time now. What is surprising is that apparently none of the other major roles in "Frontier" have yet been cast, despite reports that Depp was also attached. The film's producer, Charles Roven, confirmed as much to ComingSoon.net: "Tom Hanks is starring in the film and we're still looking to cast the other roles. We're hoping to start shooting the movie sometime in mid-March." Read More...

Season of the Witch exclusive photosEven in these precarious times, there are a few precious certainties in the movie world: "Harry Potter" flicks will always do well, Robert Downey Jr. will at one point be attached to star in just about everything... and movies starring a long-haired Nicolas Cage in ape-s*** violent mode will undoubtedly be awesome. That's why we here at MTV Movies Blog are itching to see the actor's latest flick, "Season of the Witch."

In the film, Cage and Ron Perlman play 14-century knights who return home from the Crusades to find their homeland ravaged by the Black Plague. Deeming witchcraft the culprit, the Church commands our war-weary heroes to lead a small group charged with transporting a suspected witch through some seriously dangerous country to a remote monastery. There, monks will perform a ritual aimed at exercising that there witch's demons, hopefully thereby ending the Plague. We're betting things don't work out so well for the monks.

Check out two exclusive photos from the film below. Read More...

InceptionIt's been five months, but that top still has our heads spinning. Was the ending of "Inception" a dream, or wasn't it? Was it all a dream? Just a big metaphor for filmmaking? Maybe a probing look at architecture? We sure don't know, but one man does: Christopher Nolan.

Almost half a year may have passed since "Inception" captivated our minds, but Wired wasn't letting go of the mystery without a fight. In a Q&A in the magazine's latest issue, Nolan was asked to go through different moments in the movie and weigh in on whether the various interpretations of the film might apply. While Nolan was his usual tight-lipped self, a few of his answers could -- and we stress could -- hint at some answers.

The guys over at Collider lovingly transcribed the whole article for our reading pleasure, and we'll let you try to puzzle out the hidden meanings of Nolan's cryptic -- and sometimes not-so-cryptic -- answers after the jump. Read More...

It's been a banner year for Mark Wahlberg. He flexed his comedic (and actual) muscles in the hits "Date Night" and "The Other Guys," and is getting some serious Oscar buzz for "The Fighter," a boxing flick that's been one of his passion projects for years. Plus, Wahlberg was recently named one of MTV's actors we're most thankful for in 2010 (quite prestigious).

As Wahlberg is finding, his 2010 successes are paving the way for a very promising 2011: He's already set to headline a surefire blockbuster (hello, "Uncharted"!) and he's poised to star in another one of his cinematic labors of love, the neo-noir "Broken City," for director Allen Hughes (a.k.a. one-half of the Hughes Brothers responsible for "Menace II Society," "From Hell" and "Book of Eli").

"There's this other thing, 'Broken City,' that I want to do... at the end of next year with Allen Hughes directing," Wahlberg told MTV at the junket for "The Fighter." "[It's] on the Black List. It's one of the best unproduced screenplays... [It's] an amazing piece of material that should attract amazing talents. Hopefully we'll get that thing together." Read More...
