Jackass 3DThe end of "Mad Men" Season 4 threw a few viewers for a loop Sunday night. Damon Lindelof attempted to contribute to that confusion, which sounds like it was shared by Elizabeth Banks.

In theater reaction tweets from the weekend, Paris Hilton and Gillian Jacobs both showed some love to "Jackass 3D," even if their affection came accompanied by shock. You can read what they thought down below where it's retweeted along with director Toby Wilkins' outlook on directing MTV's new "Teen Wolf" series, Ludacris' motivation for getting up early and Jon Favreau's favorite part of filmmaking.

Mel GibsonUPDATE: It's true. Two unnamed sources close to "The Hangover 2" have confirmed to MTV News that Mel Gibson has joined the film's cast as a Bangkok tattoo artist. Now the question is: Who's getting the ink?

This weekend saw some "Hangover 2" casting news that will leave fans brimming with pre-Vegas-bachelor-party anticipation... and other news that will hit as hard as the next morning's hangover.

First the good news: Mel Gibson has reportedly joined the film for a cameo as a tattoo artist in Bangkok. Sounds like "The Hangover 2" has found its Mike Tyson (who still may or may not return).

A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "It's a done deal. Mel will make a cameo as a tattoo artist. Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October." Eliza DushkuYes, "Ghostbusters 3" is actually happening, with original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd reportedly close to finishing the script. The details of the plot are pretty sparse, but last year Aykroyd name dropped Eliza Dushku as a star he'd like to see in the film.

When I had the opportunity to chat with Dushku while she was promoting the release of "Dollhouse" season two on DVD and Blu-Ray, she said that she hadn't been approached to join the film, but she would definitely be interested. "It would be an honor to be alongside Sigourney [Weaver]," she said with a laugh. Read More...

Keith RichardsJohnny Depp has always credited Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards as one of the prime inspirations for his iconic "Pirates of the Caribbean" alter-ego Captain Jack Sparrow. So it was only fitting that Richards played Sparrow's father, Captain Teague, in 2007's "At World's End." And now, the rumors that Richards would reprise that role in the series' fourth chapter, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," have been confirmed.

The news that Depp and Richards "are currently shooting the series' fourth installment, where Richards reprises his role as Sparrow's father" is nonchalantly mentioned in a Reuters article about the musician's upcoming autobiography "Life," which apparently lays down a whole lotta smack about Richards' Rolling Stones band mate Mick Jagger. Robert Downey Jr.Sam Raimi broke every single "World of Warcraft" fan's hearts earlier this month with the announcement that "Oz the Great and Powerful" would be his next movie, but he may have had good reason — if a recently revealed plot synopsis is at all accurate, "Oz" is going to be one heck of a fun time at the movies.

Pajiba has an extensive report on the alleged plot for "Oz," a film that focuses on Robert Downey Jr.'s early days as the Wizard. True to RDJ form, the character sounds like a happy mixture of Tony Stark and Sherlock Holmes with some magic thrown in for good measure.

According to Pajiba, "Oz" focuses on, well, Oz, the great and powerful wizard who is actually something of a con man. Described as "a snake-oil salesman posing as a magician," Oz begins the movie on the run from an angry husband who just discovered that the magician has been sleeping with his wife. Read More...

Rising comedic talent Bo Burnham is definitely on the upside these days. Aside from working with Judd Apatow recently, the 20-year-old funnyman is set to premiere his Comedy Central special, "Words, Words, Words" on Saturday night. And, he promises that the special will feature an eclectic bag of jokes.

"It’s a lot of stuff. It's got songs. Now it has poetry and stand-up and beat poems and haikus and one sonnet and some jokes. It's just basically gags all over the place," he revealed to MTV News. "There's like one or two jokes I made a little bit bigger [for the special] because I had a bigger production value behind it. When they commission that hour they're sort of like, 'No, you do your thing.' I had to rewrite some jokes for the censors maybe." Read More...

James Gandolfini and David ChaseStill hoping that a cut to black and a Journey song won't mark the last time you ever see Tony Soprano? Don't stop believin' that a "Sopranos" movie will happen one day (though we kind of doubt it)... but take some solace in knowing that series creator-writer-producer-director David Chase is all set to roll cameras on his first feature film.

Paramount Vantage announced in a press release today that writer-director Chase will begin production on the as-yet-untitled movie, described as a "music-driven coming of age story set in 1960s suburbia," this January in New York City. Up-and-coming actors John Magaro (currently in theaters with the horror flick "My Soul to Take"), Jack Huston ("The Twilight Saga: Eclipse") and Will Brill (making his feature film debut) are set to star.

And, in welcome news for fans of Chase's HBO show, the statement also revealed that "Sopranos" star and Bruce Springsteen E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt will produce and supervise the music, as well as serve as executive producer, for the film. Read More...

I Love You Phillip Morris posterIt's safe to assume that in the long history of the world, more than a few people have busted out of prison to be reunited with the person they love. It's also safe to assume that the number of times the aforementioned "person they love" was the (now-freed) cellmate they met in the stir is considerably lower (we don't have the statistics or anything; we're just saying...).

That's exactly the case in "I Love You Phillip Morris," a Jim Carrey-Ewan McGregor comedy that -- believe it or not -- is based on the real-life story of conman Steven Russell (Carrey) who met his soul-mate Phillip Morris (McGregor) while in jail and, when Morris was released, escaped from the slammer on four separate occasions in order to be with him. Sweet, huh? Check out the poster after the jump. Read More...

What sets "Megamind" apart from this year's earlier villain-as-hero animated flick, "Despicable Me?" After all, they both follow an evil mastermind as he learns that evil might not be so great after all, and they both have minions. But you know what "Despicable Me" doesn't have? A Will Ferrell voice over, that's what.

So yes, the two films seem on the surface to be very similar, but judging by the first five minutes of the movie that have hit the web courtesy of Nickelodeon, "Megamind" has a definite charm that should win over the same audience that made "Despicable Me" a not-so-despicable hit.

The intro of the film follows the titular villain as he is sent away from his home world by his parents, who then die as their planet is sucked into a black hole. Some parents from a nearby planet that is also soon-to-be destroyed send away their son for the same reason, and thus begins the long-lasting rivalry between Megamind (Ferrell) and the Superman-esque Metro Man (Brad Pitt.
