Time CopEven though Jean-Claude Van Damme opted out of "The Expendables," that doesn't mean that Hollywood has lost interest in Van Damme. Far from it, in fact, as Universal Pictures is reportedly eying a big budget remake of one of JCVD's greatest hits — "TimeCop."

What's Playing has the scoop that "Time Cop 2.0" is "finally inching forward," stressing that a reboot of Van Damme's 1994 action flick has been in the works for the past four years. There's just one catch — Van Damme himself won't be involved. Despite expressing his interest in the project, the action icon "won't be invited back" by Universal, with the studio reportedly opting for "a major star" to headline the remake. Read More...

At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Gentle Giant's coolest exclusive by far was a 12" Stormtrooper action figure, modeled after the original line of "Star Wars" toys and housed in a comically oversized blister pack. If you were lucky enough to get one... well... count yourself lucky, because they were apparently rather hard to come by.

Fortunately for us "Star Wars" fans, that Stormtrooper was only the first serving in what will hopefully be a long line of awesome oversized vintage action figures. Gentle Giant just announced the next set of 12" releases, highlighted by one Chewbacca and two flavors of Han Solo. Needless to say, I'm putting aside my money now. Check out the new hotness in all its glory, after the jump. Read More...

If you've had long enough to pick apart the latest "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" TV spot, sit tight because Warner Bros. hopes to have a newly edited set of clips ready to show you this week. Our last look at the film pretty much amounted to a Death Eater death march all over Harry, Ron and Hermione, and given what we know about the contents of the series' final book (don't worry, no spoilers here), we don't expect to see any lighter moments when a new trailer hits Wednesday, September 22.

The forecast for the new trailer comes straight from WB sources speaking to ComingSoon.net. The trailer rollout thus far as been right on schedule leading up to the film's November 19 release date, this one should keep their tease mojo pumping. Read More...

LostFour months have passed since "Lost" left the airwaves for good, and I'm still missing the series. No, not because I'm holding out for additional answers that are never going to come — I made peace with the show's inherently mysterious nature long ago — but I'm still not over the fact that I will never again see Terry O'Quinn, Michael Emerson and the rest of the cast interacting with each other week in and week out.

Well, that's not entirely accurate: O'Quinn and Emerson might be back on the small screen together again, and soon. Rumors that the erstwhile John Locke and Benjamin Linus could team together for another television project have floated around since before "Lost" went off the air, but there's a new wrinkle adding some extra weight to the possible series — a wrinkle that goes by the name of J.J. Abrams. Read More...

If you've experienced sleepless nights with the sweet tunes of Wyld Stallyns trapped in your head, don't worry: you're not alone. Just like you, Keanu Reeves has heard the call of "Bill & Ted," and he's hoping to go for another round with the lovable losers.

When MTV News sat down with Reeves at the Toronto Film Festival last week, we put forth the possibility of a third "Bill & Ted" outing. Not only was Reeves open to the idea, but he suggested that co-star Alex Winter and writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are also on board.

"We're trying," said Reeves. "Alex and I are still friends and we're talking, and we're talking to Chris and Ed. They're going to try and see if they can write something. To me, I'd love to play the role. I'd love to work with Alex and Chris and Ed again." Read More...

Twitter-Wood got so enthusiastic today that I had to censor a couple of f-bombs out. Patton Oswalt, for instance ran into "Eastbound and Down" star Danny McBride, while Richard Kelly got a little high off learning that John Stewart and Stephen Colbert would be holding competing rallies in Washington, D.C.

Oswalt even posted a picture to prove it, as did James Gunn from the "Super" premiere, Sofia Vergara from the "Modern Family" set and Donald Glover from a Blu-ray rack. You can check out those shots down below along with Conan O'Brien's thoughts for Yom Kippur and one actors dream of getting onto "The Real World."

I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is Twitter-Wood for September 17, 2010. Read More...

"The Town" arrives in theaters today, marking yet another entry in Ben Affleck's continually impressive career as a filmmaker. In addition to directing the movie, Affleck stars as Doug, a thief who robs banks, armored cars and other high profile targets, sometimes dressed as a nun to protect his identity. But when he starts falling in love with one of his hostages, Doug learns that getting out of the game isn't as easy as it seems.

The heist scenes in "The Town" are some of the most thrilling in recent memory, taking its rightful place alongside some of cinema's other great masked robbery sequences — like the five scenes you'll read about after the jump! Read More...

Star WarsIt's not often that we in the geek community can marry our love for all things science fiction with a more conventional pastime like, say, sports. But if you're in or around the San Diego area on Friday, September 24, you'll have the opportunity to knock such a merged experience out of the park.

Next Friday, Lucas Films and the San Diego Padres are teaming together for a special "Star Wars" event in PETCO Park billed as "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" Night. While the Padres put their skills to the test against the Cincinnati Reds, attendees sitting in a select portion of the stadium's Upper Reserved section can enjoy a night of baseball while simultaneously participating in "Star Wars" trivia, special giveaways and photo opportunities, not to mention cosplay. Robin HoodWith a worldwide box office take of $310.7 million to its name, director Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe's "Robin Hood" certainly drew its fair share of attention from moviegoers across the globe.

But has the legendary archer fired off his last arrow, or will he continue to take from the rich and give to the poor in future films? As the credits rolled at the end of "Robin Hood," a title card graciously informed the viewer that the legend has just begun — but does that mean a sequel is on the way?

In anticipation of the film's upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release next Tuesday (September 21), MTV News sat down with actor Kevin Durand, who stars in the film as Little John. When we put the question of a possible "Robin Hood" sequel to the actor, Durand said that he's heard "a little bit of talk here and there" about a second tale. Read More...
