I hope you all have been enjoying this week of coverage around "The Last Exorcism." I've got a lot of love for this movie. It's a really unconventional horror experience, largely because it's so very much not a genre film. It is a genuinely creepy watch, skipping overt gore and a focus on jump scares in favor of ambiance, strong performances and expert cinematography/editing. Don't look for reviews-- just go. The less you know going in, the more you'll appreciate what you see.
To cap off this week-long focus on the film, we've got a pair of treats tomorrow. Producer Eli Roth will be sending in his second guest blog for your reading enjoyment. In his first post, Eli shared the details of his experience producing the movie, as well as discussing why the guy behind gore-heavy works like "Hostel" and "Cabin Fever" would get behind this seeming polar opposite to his previous work. Then, director Daniel Stamm today shared some illuminating anecdotes from the set.
The second treat for tomorrow is a live chat with @eliroth on Twitter. We'll be hitting him with a battery of questions about the movie -- and who knows what else? -- and you should make sure to tune in at 11:30am eastern to watch it all go down. There's still time to submit questions too! Send 'em on over to us at tips@mtvmoviesblog.com.
