Yet another newsworthy gem to come out of MTV's livestream Comic-Con show today, in addition to Karl Urban's not-so-subtle mentions about his involvement in a Judge Dredd movie, was a little gem from Mr. Bruce Willis regarding "Die Hard 5."

"It's imminent," Willis said Thursday about whether the fifth movie in his esteemed franchise is on the way. "The coin is about to drop."

Willis also mentioned that he would still like to move forward with an "Unbreakable" sequel. "I think we'd have to hip-check Night [Shyamalan] into doing it," Willis said, joking that they would have to trick Shyamalan into thinking that it was his idea first. "I think that movie should be made," he added.

Joss WhedonBy Ryan Downey

- The Whedon faithful (this reporter included) were definitely stoked to be hearing the soundtrack from "Once More with Feeling," the musical episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," as we waited for the panel to begin.

- Abrams greeted the crowd with a "Yo!" The pair confirmed that they met when they were both making shows for The WB, they have dinner from time to time, but they are too busy to see each other much.

- The moderator asked what the most extreme thing they've done as fans. Abrams said he wrote fan letters - but not to actors; to makeup people: Dick Smith, Tom Savini. He said Smith sent him the tongue from "The Exorcist," which he still has. His mom was not psyched.

- Whedon said "I do have an Alien egg, but I had to bury the franchise in order to get it."

- Whedon said he has always wanted to be a storyteller. Abrams said he enjoyed creating illusions doing magic tricks as a kid. Whedon asked whether comic nerds or magic nerds are more pathetic. Abrams said magic nerds. Read more...

11:15 am While people are shifting out for "Megamind," people are settling in for the big "Tron Legacy" panel. It's definitely one of the biggest panels of the Con, and I've heard whispers that there's going to be an exciting reveal at the end.

11:21 am And here we go! The screams are much louder in here than for "Megamind." Sorry, Will Ferrell.

I'll have the Disney panel report from San Diego Comic-Con for you soon, but I wanted to share this new trailer with you first. Really, the thrill of this thing can be summed up with one simple statement: you see Jeff Bridges after his dip in a digital Fountain of Youth. Eff yes.

San Diego Comic-Con has gifted us with our first extended look at "Battle: Los Angeles," the alien disaster movie from director Jonathan Liebesman ("The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning") and starring Aaron Eckhart and Bridget Moynahan: first a viral campaign and then this afternoon's panel.

Before all this went down, though, we had a chance to chat with Moynahan about the film, and she had some surprising things to say — namely what separates "Battle" from previous alien invasion flicks.

"It's actually very emotional," she told MTV News. "I can't even tell you — when I saw parts of it recently, I was crying. It's just got such heart to the movie. The director shot such a beautiful movie, so hopefully the editing and everything is going to pull together, but it was a really good story." Read more...

10:00am People are settling in, Hall H is filling for the first time of Comic-Con 2010.

10:08am Still waiting for the panel to start, looks like they're trying to cram as many people in as possible. The 3-D glasses they gave us when we entered bode well, though. It seems like a lot of studios are looking to follow "Avatar"'s success with them last year.

10:14am All right, we're getting this show on the road. Moderator is shouting out all the people who camped out overnight. Read more...

This is one of those rare stories where my personal and professional interests collide: growing up, the music of The Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band was frequently heard echoing through my home. There have been plenty of documentaries and concert films about the Dead, but never a proper biopic. That's all about to change, thanks to a script from Topper Lilien, who worked with Robert Greenfield's book "Dark Star" in crafting a story about Dead co-founder and lead singer/guitarist Jerry Garcia. The film, which Variety confirms will be directed by "The Tillman Story" helmer Amir Bar-Lev, will reportedly cover Garcia's early years, the events that led him to the Dead.

If the story had more of a lifelong focus, I'd be forced to pitch Jeff Bridges for the lead role. I mean seriously... is there anyone on this planet more perfectly suited to portray the lovable rock star than The Dude? That's not the case here though: we're looking at a much younger Garcia. Casting is a challenging proposition. Would any of you readers care to throw out some names? James Franco? Ben Foster? ...Ben Savage?
