After its massively successful opening last year, "Sherlock Holmes" was all but guaranteed for a sequel. Since then, we've learned that a second film is indeed on the way with international adventure and a menacing villain in the form of Professor Moriarty. The only problem is that fans have to wait until December 16, 2011 for "Sherlock Holmes 2" to hit theaters, though it won't be much of a wait for Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and the rest of the "Holmes" cast and crew.
"It looks likely that we're going to shoot the second 'Sherlock Holmes' in October," Law told Empire Online, adding that the plot could draw inspiration from any number of preexisting "Holmes" novels. For more information on the "Sherlock" sequel and Law's other projects, head on over to Empire.
